I have been a loyal Metro Pcs customer since 2013. I decided to buy my Husband a new phone for Father's day. I went on Metro's website and purchased a $150 phone, screen protector, and case totaling $200. I received a confirmation email with an order number. It said if I ordered the phone before 3pm I would get the phone the next day. If i ordered after 3pm, i would get the phone the following day. It said i should expect a email once the phone has been shipped. 6/16 no email. 6/17 I decide to call Metro. The representative told me to respond to the email I received. I told her that I could not respond. She put me on a brief hold and when she came back she said your phone will be delivered via ups by 3pm tomorrow. I said great. 6/18 no delivery. 6/19. I call metro and speak to another representative. He basically calls me a liar because there is no way that the previous rep could give me the ups information . I asked for the Previous customer service reps name and ID number. He was very reluctant to give to me. He gave me her Id number only. He told me the only thing I could do was WRITE to Metro and explain my situation. In the meantime my phone may or may not come. I was obviously upset and asked to speak to a manager. He put me on hold. Got back on the phone and said "hello mam" I said yes.. He then hung up on me. No we did not get disconnected. This is a huge company and this is how I get treated! I have no one to contact but scripted customer service reps. The $200 was taking out of my account but I have to WRITE to a major company in 2020 to get my phone or money back is unacceptable!

I have been pleased with them. Their pricing and data plans are good and reasonably priced. I also like that my plan comes with a hot spot so I can stream a lot of videos onto my ipad.
Description of Work: I've had cell phone service with them since January 2014.

1. The Bonham office will NOT even check to see if the heavily advertised "you keep your number" will work UNLESS you pay (IN ADVANCE) the $$$$ in CASH. I am NOT kidding. They act allergic to normal commercial transactions, say, with a credit card. 2. We lived with that as the next nearest is in Sherman, 35 miles away. and put up with the quirkiness. 3. Next day we lost service with OLD and NEW (MetroPCS) for the "seamlessly" transferred number. After 8 hours, we both went to the so-called "manager", who spent 15 minutes NEVER ADDRESSING the question we asked her. When we got fit and tired, we told her that the first step in communication is to shut up and LISTEN. She got angry and said that we were calling her a liar. And instead of doing what we had asked for 20 minutes, namely check the metropcs records, and switch center (?), she called her bosses. Wasting another 5 minutes, now 25, she hung up apparently not getting any sympathy. She went into another repetiion of the totally unuseful diatribe, another 5 minutes wasted. All the staff were gathered around. for the (lost count) time we asked her to make the call to the people who could help. At 30 minutes, she did, with a glare. After a quiet conversation, the MetroPCS phone was working. We wasted 32 minutes to get 2 minutes of service. DO NOT GO TO BONHAM METRO PCS. Bad training, bad attitude, and. you will LOOSE a lot of money. I lost $110 at BONHAM METRO PCS. and got it back. Later that day, I took the remaining phones to Sherman, and walked in cold. Within 10 minutes, I have new phones, the service transferred cleanly (new phone rung with old number (AT&T). JUST LIKE THE ADVERTISEMENT! Also, within the next 5 minutes, the manager corrected all the BONHAM mistakes, netting the family $100 in rebates lost because of BONHAM incompetence, AND saved us $10 off EACH month.
Description of Work: This is for the BONHAM, TX Metro PCS reseller. I do not know how the below applies to any other reseller, or corporate Went to the local BONHAM, TX Metro PCS reseller to get unlimited service while keeping our old AT&T Number per all the media blitz.

I PURCHASED A SAMSUNG TOUCH SCREEN PHONE TO REPLACE MY TMOBILE CONTRACT PHONE (PRIOR TO MERGE ANNOUNCEMENT). THE PHONE WAS NOT ABLE TO DIAL OUTSIDE OF THE DFW AREA. I TOOK PHONE BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY AND THE MANAGER/OWNER USED THE AFFECTED PHONE TO CALL METRO PCS TECH SUPPORT. AFTER AN HOUR THEY COULDNT FIND PROBLEM. I REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT PHONE BUT WAS TOLD THE 60 MINUTE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. I EXPLAINED TO HER THAT SHE USED IT UP CALLING TECH SUPPORT BUT SHE SAID SORRY, SHE HAD TO USE THE PHONE TO TROUBLE SHOOT IT. I REQUESTED A REFUND AND SHE SAID THEY ONLY OFFER REPAIRS BY MAIL WHICH TAKES 8-10 DAYS TO FIX AND RETURN BY MAIL. I THEN CALLED METRO PCS CORPORATE WHICH SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE A CORPORATE OFFICE ONLY REGIONAL MANAGERS WHO NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS. NO REFUND, NO NOTHING. I ENDED UP GIVING THE PHONE TO A WORKER TO AVOID A TOTAL LOSS. THIS IS THE WORST CELL PHONE COMPANY ON THE PLANET. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT METRO PCS, THINK AGAIN. RUN! GO WITH ANYBODY BUT METRO PCS. THE WAY I WAS TREATED WAS SO UNBELIEVEABLE, I AM STILL DUMBFOUNDED. I WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY EVEN IF IT WAS OFFERING A $20 DOLLAR UNLIMITED PLAN. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. AVOID THIS LOCATION IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR SANITY. HORRIBLE! I SUBSCRIBED TO ANGIES LIST ONLY TO SUBMIT THIS POST AFTER FINDING OUT WHAT ANGIES LIST DOES. I ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB OF DFW ON THIS ALSO. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! COMPANY AND WORSE BUSINESS TRANSACTION OF MY LIFE.

My experience with my MetroPCS phone has been great so far. Great coverage inside and out, and works well all over the city.
Description of Work: For less than half of what I paid with other service providers, I get unlimited local/ long distance calling AND unlimited text. Although I had to pay more for the phone, at the price I'm paying per month, I'll make it up in less than 3 months. Great coverage here in Dallas and they just opened up to nationwide roaming in the cities I care about, e.g., NY, Boston, Chicago, LA.

I can get a plan for a very reasonable price which gives me unlimited local and distance calling. I can get more expensive plans if I need. I don't have to worry about minutes and call any distance anywhere within the country. It is not available in all cities but provides good service and is growing. It is a good alternative to other expensive providers which give limited plans or coverage. I save money and I don't get a bill from them. I can pay extra if I want a bill but don't have to worry about minutes. I have an option on paying it online and it is up by the month as well as by the minute.
