The installation went well. The technician showed up on time and installed the phone modem. Equipment worked right from the start. Installation was part of a new bundled pricing package so install was free. My only complaint actually is with Grande's customer service/financial section. They were unable to get the fees adjusted properly for several months. In addition, for a communication company, the option to pay your monthly bill electronically is very limited. Almost every other company will accept direct electronic funds transfer FROM a bank (in my case, Chase Bank). But for some unknown reason, Grande will only allow funds transfer using their service which reach into your accounts. As it stands, I write a paper check each month to avoid using their financial funds service. My hesitancy is also based on some payment issues when my account was first started. Those took several months of communications (and copies of documentation) to resolve satisfactorily.

Called to set up service after having been without service due to ATand T's lousy service for a week. I explained our problem to the phone sales person. She answered all of my questions regarding price and service plans and then arranged to have an installer come out the next day. The whole experience was very smooth, they arrived when they said and had me up and running in no time. Great service, profession sales and installation personnel. a huge difference from my experience with ATand T. Local is always better! Oh and I LOVE the TIVO!

I kindly declined the offer in the flyer and kept my current service for $120 per month.
Description of Work: I have cable TV and internet service only for $120 per month ($133.75 with taxes & fees). My TV service does not include "premium" channels. I got a flyer in the mail inferring that I could get my old home phone number back with unlimited LD, plus all the TV channels they have. My Motorola recording unit that records two sessions at a time would be switched out to a TiVo unit that would record four sessions at a time. My web access speed would increase slightly to a faster level.... all for a price of $129.99 per month. This is only $10 more than my current plan! The flyer said I would "enjoy a 3-year pricing guarantee with no contract required". When I called the Grande sales rep, I brought up that there was a big and bold 3-year pricing guarantee, but that the fine-print at the bottom of the page said that the "price is for 12 months. The fine print said that the bundle price would increase by $15 for months 13-24 and an additional $15 for months 25-26. In fact the rep said that my cost in year three would be $50 per month more than year one and that after year three, the price would get significantly more expensive.
