Glenn Townsend - Glenn's Appliance Repair

I called Glen to see if he could help repair the Drop-In Electric Oven/Range at one of our rentals. We weren't able to find the model number of the oven and Glen came out as well but still was not able to find it. Since we weren't able to find the model number ordering parts would be guess work so we decided to buy a new Electric oven. Glen was patient and eager to help, although we were not able to repair the Electric oven due to the lack of model number. I would call Glen again if I had any appliance needs and prefer working with individuals to build long-term relationships for our Property Management company rather than using the bigger guys out.

Glenn did a great job for us. He fixed the problem with our stove quickly and competently. We would both recommend him and employ his services again in the future.

We called Glenn in regards to a malfunctioning washer and he was at the house that same morning to do the repair. We were not only pleased that he came out on a Sunday but that he was at our house within two hours and fixed the problem quickly. Would definitely use him again in the future for our appliance needs.

In case of the washer, he knew exactly what was wrong. The hose was too far into the drain pipe and it was creating the problem. He knew what he was doing.

I used Glenn to repair an old washer. He arrived on time and fixed the problem. I have used him in the past for my refrigerator and dryer.

My oven quit working while I was cooking dinner last night. Today was my only day off work so I was hoping to get it fixed today, but most repair places make you wait several days or a week before anybody will come. I say Glenn's Appliance Repair had an A rating and after I read the reviews, I called him. He was able to come right out to look at the oven. It was fixed promptly and I will be able to use it tonight. I am so happy that I called him. The service was great and Glenn is a super person. I will certainly use him again when I need an appliance repaired.

I checked Angie's List and called Glenn Townsend. He asked me questions over the phone, came when he said he would and was very efficient. Will use him for all appliances from here on and; will recommend him to anyone.

Glenn was great. He was on-time, professional and he offered a couple of options/solutions. I so appreciate his integrity. As well, he had extremely reasonable prices. I would most definitely call Glenn again if I had another appliance issue.

Glenn is a fantastic repairman. I was so pleasantly surprised when he answered the Saturday night email. I was expecting to wait until Monday to hear from him. And when he came on Sunday, he really saved us (most of the food was ok - we had two kids and no back-up fridge, so you can imagine what a relief that was). Each time he came, he called before, set a time, and showed up punctually. After he diagnosed that the motherboard was bad, he could have just made us wait until he could get the part, but instead, he said "I think I'll try this." He got the fridge to work (it ran too cold because the computer wasn't working) so that we could use it until he returned on Tuesday with the motherboard. That day, when he switched the board out, he showed me exactly where the problem (a burned-out spot) was on the old motherboard. It turns out that the motherboard didn't connect fully, so he came back the next day and got everything working. Glenn's price was extremely reasonable. He did everything he could to help us and explained what he was doing at each step. He really knows his stuff. I will definitely call him back when I have other appliance repair needs.

Plastic cover on the start switch on our Sears front-load washer was broken, which made it difficult to start toe washer. We called Glenn to service the washer, but the cost of parts to repair was too high to proceed with the repair.

The experience was painless and very helpful to me. My problem was solved in under 30 mins.

I called Glenn and gave him a description of the problem with my oven over the phone. He was at my door in about an hour to look at it. It turned out to be the computer, which he had to order. He had the part the next day and was extreamly flexible with my schedule. As soon as I was available I gave him a call and he was here within 30 minutes to install the new computer. The oven is working great and his fee was fair. We will be using him for all our appliance repairs in the future and I have already recommended him to my neighbors.

I called Gleen, He answered promptly, Scheduled the visit same day, Fix my washer on the same day!!! We were extremely pleased!!!!!!

Our washer stopped in the middle of a cycle and had a smell like burned plastic coming from it. Glenn came over to take a look, and was very helpful. As it turned out, we just had an overload that was causing the motor to overheat. Glenn was very knowledgeable about our machine and gave us advice on how we could keep it going for longer without making expensive repairs.

Glen has looked at my icemaker prior and discovered my temperature setting were wrong. He adjusted the temperature and he said he would call back to check. He called back and was told icemaker still was not working. I gave him the serial number of the icemaker. He returned the next day and replaced the icemaker and it has been pumping ice every since.

Our washer went out on a Friday night and the next morning I called Glen and he was there within an hour of the call. He went in found the problem and showed me the problem and why it was not working. He replaced the part right there. He went in fixed it and was our all within an hour. He did not try to sell me anything or didn't try to say something else was wrong. He was very knowledgeable and had the part on hand. We were very please with his services and will for sure be using him again. No haggling at all.

Glenn was willing to make the service call in the evening which was very convenient for me. He actually took the dryer with him to his shop (also convenient). Unfortunately, the parts he needed were on backorder from the manufacturer so it took several weeks for him to complete the job. But he kept me posted. And when the parts came in, he replaced them and brought the dryer back. It works perfectly, so he apparently made the right diagnosis.

He is a great guy. I am very happy with him.

I called this morning and an hour later he was at my door fixing my washer. Whew! I also have a broken dishwasher and he took a look at that too. He's going to call me with the information for the replacement part so I can decide if it's worth it to replace or repair. He seemed very knowledgeable and personable. I appreciate the quick turnaround. It's hard to go without a washer with kids!

I called Mr Townsend Friday morning and asked what he charged for a service call. I told him my dryer was not drying the clothes the first time around that we would have to run it twice. He told me he didn't have a fee he would come out and look at the dryer and let me know what it would be. I asked when he could come out and he said he could come right then. I was not at home so I asked if he could come after my son got out of school and he told me to just call and let him know when to be there. I called him back about a hour later and told him my nephew was there and he said he would head that way. When he looked at the dryer and figured out what was wrong he cleaned it all up and and was going to only charge us $35 but I asked him to look at another noise it was making. After taking it apart and fixing the noise it was making he called me and told me that the timer was out on it and that was going to be about $175 to fix. Then to my surprise he told me if I didn't have the money to fix it right then that I could run it on one of the other cycles and it would work and when it stopped to call him and he would come back out and fix it. He never tried to push the repair on me or tell me it had to be fixed then. The dryer is working fine and I will be calling Mr. Townsend back for other repairs I have. My bill was $50 and normally this is what a service call would be. I was very pleased with the service we received.
