Glenn Townsend - Glenn's Appliance Repair

We noticed an electrical odor coming from our garage freezer on a Sunday morning. There was smoke coming from underneath and lots of frozen food inside, so we got on Angie's List and found Glenn's Appliance Repair to be available on the weekend. Glenn, Jr., was here within an hour and a half. He diagnosed the problem and had a replacement starter relay with him. It was installed in 45 minutes, and we were totally pleased with his expertise, efficient service, and the cost of repair. Glenn also looked at a broken electrical stovetop element and agreed to let us know if replacement parts were available. He followed up the the info, and although we will be replacing rather than repairing it (based on parts cost) we were extremely impressed with his professionalism. We are very thankful to have found Glenn's Appliance Repair on Angie's List and will definitely use their services again. Their weekend availability was critical to us. Our frozen food stayed frozen, and I have already recommended Glenn's Appliance Repair to a dozen friends.

I have never been so pleased with a service as I was with his. I called him on a Saturday and instead of having to wait on an appointment.he came right over I told him the problem over the phone and not only did he give me the solution he gave me the exact amount that it would cost and not a penny over The best part of this is that I paid a service charge tthat was twice as large as his to be told that I would have to buy a part that was 400.00 alone. This service is well worth what ever you have to pay. it is very hard to find honest services .I would reccomend his service to any one who asked. He is a joy to talk to and very good at what he does and as always you reccomend the best, Thank you.

Glenn is great. He's very responsive and arrived exactly when he said he would. He was very informative about both our washer and our refrigerator. He diagnosed the issues quickly, and fixed them right on the spot. He was very honest about what he could and could not do to address the issues. Both appliances are working again, and we could not be happier. On top of everything, Glenn is a very nice guy.

Everything was great. Once the oven was taken apart, he found that the transformer showed signs of an electrical short, so he went to get that part and replaced it, hoping that that was the only problem. Once it was in and power was restored to the oven (with the original control board), new faults were showing. Once the transformer went out during the spill, the oven wasn't able to display anything on the front panel. After a bunch of detective work, Glenn figured out that the control board was also not working. So he replaced that part, tested the oven, and didn't leave until everything was working perfectly. As when he fixed our fridge, Glenn called back several days later to make sure everything was working correctly. If you have any appliance problem, I recommend Glenn. He works quickly, does all the research necessary to get the correct parts quickly, and keeps going until he figures out the problem. His prices are more than fair.

I spoke to Glenn late Thursday afternoon and the work was completed Friday morning! Great service, prompt and polite.

Called Glenn late Friday evening and made an appointment for Saturday morning. Told him the ice maker dispencer was making a loud grinding noise, but not putting out any ice. Replacing the motor fixed the problem. Glenn anticipated this was the problem and brought a motor with him thus avoiding delay and another trip. Although he was about forty minutes late for the appointment, he was very courteous and professional.

He was prompt and had all tools/parts ready to go. He identified the problem, replaced the part, and tested the performance just to make sure everything was working. He did this quickly (in an hour) and charged very reasonably. We would call him again.

It went very well. He had the part to fix the issue with him.

The service was good. Glenn took him time and the problem was identified and fixed immediately. No issues since the repair.

Once the problem was identified with certainty, Glenn did not ask me if I wanted to cut my losses by ditching the washing machine in favor of buying a new one ($400-500) and only having to pay him $100 for the service call or paying $320 as I did and get mine running. I did not ask either, so it was a "I didn't ask, he didn't offer" scenario. I wouldn't hold this against him, but rather learn from my mistake and ask that questions before Glenn makes the repair and you feel obligated to pay.

He did an outstanding job. Took the time to see what exactly what was wrong with my washer. He waas quick to get out to the house and didnt mind the dog. I would definitly call him back when I have another issue.

I gave them a call and he answered right away. Had me give the information on the appliance and the problem and he was able to tell me over the phone the problem. He had me try a few things first to try and avoid a repair charge. It didi not work so he had to come and repair. Very Fair and professional person.

Excellent! I called first thing in the morning and we were able to get the repair completed the same day. They scheduled a time and not a 2 to 4 hour window like some companies do. He arrived as scheduled. He did some trouble shooting and quickly confirmed the heater was bad. He pulled out the old heater and showed me where it failed. He had the part with him so there was no need to leave and come back later. Thank you for the quick response and taking the time to show me where the part had failed.

We called Glenn Townsend for repairs to our top-loading washer. His response time was very quick and he was very knowledgeable, fast and quite entertaining to talk to AS he worked! He didn't miss a beat. He got the job done, was polite and charged a reasonable amount. We highly recommend him to others!

Glenn was very knowledgeable and repaired my washer in less than an hour.

Glenn came as soon as we called. He had to go find correct part; came back & put new hose on. Back of machine had to be taken off before part could be installed. We have used this company for over 20 yrs & will continue to use them.

I called them in the morning we were given an estimate for repair and a time of arrival for later that day. They called and arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule. The final repair cost was $25.00 below the estimate. I feel they are very honest. I would use them again for sure.

I have used Mr. Townsend's servivces before. The refrigerator in one of my rental houses in Garland was not working. I called Mr. Townsend Monday morning. By Monday evening, he had been to house and made the repairs. The total cost of the service call was $150, which included replacing a worn out evaporator fan motor. Mr. Townsend showed up when he said he would, and he charge a very fair price. I will certainly use Mr. Townsend's services again.

I called Mr. Townsend for a malfunctioning dishwasher in one of my rental houses. I called Mr. Townsend, gave him the address of the house, the phone number of my tenant to coordinate the service time, and a description of how the dishwasher was not working properly. Mr. Townsend showed up when he said he would and he fixed the dishwasher for a fair price ($100 total cost to free up a locked pump motor and stopped internal drain within the unit). Mr. Townsend, for my convenience, mailed me a bill in the mail. I am very satisified, and will use Mr. Townsend's services again!!

We were having some work done in the kitchen and caused the dishwasher to stop working. based on previous repair experience we suspected that the power cord for the dishwasher was disconnected. I called Glen at 4 pm. His son was able to come at 7 pm, pull the dishwasher out and put a power strip extender to fix the power problem. Glen was very courteous and patient. We were very happy with the repair service.
