The washer broke on a Friday and they came out Saturday morning with no problem. Good price and good service.

Our dishwasher went out- filled with water at the beginning of the cycle and never did anything else except generate a burning smell- and I called Glenn to take a look. I got a hold of him around 9am and he came out the same morning. He found the problem quickly, fixed it, explained what was going on and made recommendations to avoid the problem. I was very happy and will call him again if needed.

I was doing my Saturday washing and the machine stopped mid cycle in the rinse/spin cycle. UGH. Being Saturday I thought we were going to have to wait until the work week for anyone to come out. Who has time for that? So I went to Angie's List. Glenn's Appliance Repair was the FIRST place I called. He answered the phone, asked the model number of my machine, said he would call me back after he checked on something, called back promptly and was on his way! Oh. My. Goodness. Glenn is GOOD. He knew exactly the problem and fixed it within about 15 minutes. VERY experienced. VERY good. I had called a couple other places after him just to comparison shop and one place would have charged me DOUBLE. We will definietly use Glenn again. Call him!

Chose Glenn Townsend from Angies list based on his excellent reviews , testimonies, and location. My refrigerator was not cooling like it should. I was about ready to shop for a new one as it was 20 yrs old, but someone suggested I at least have a repairman look at it. I am glad I did. I read on Glenns page where the charge to come and look at appliance to see if repairable or not was $35.00. Which I knew was a very reasonable cost to find out whether I needed to buy an new one or not. I called Mr Townsend and he answered my call right then. He was driving and asked me to hold wile he pulled over so he could ask me questions about the refrigerator and write down information. I could tell immediately when he asked the questions he had a lot of knowledge about appliances and repair of. He was able to come within a couple of hours and fortunately was able to repair it. He knew immediately what the problem was and had the part on his vehicle. The motor that runs the fan in the freezer had quit working and ice had built up around and behind the panel that needed to be removed. So he had to get the ice melted first in order to be able to get to the motor. This took some time, but as soon as he got to the motor, he had it removed and a new one replaced in no time. In my opinion he is very knowledgable, efficient, fair , honest and reasonable. I will call him in future if I have a problem with an appliance.

got Mr. Townsend arrived and quickly disassembled the machine. He reset the tub back on the hangers in less than 10 minutes. He was here and gone in less than 15 minutes. Very professional and got straight answers from. I highly recommend his services and will use him again in the future.

The knob on my dryer was cracked and wouldn't let me start it. I assumed it was a knob problem and likely could have gone through the trouble of ordering the part and replacing it myself, but for someone as impatient as myself and really needing to get laundry done right away, I opted to just call Glenn. We scheduled the next day and gave him the info about the model number, etc. Glenn showed up on time and with the part in hand. It took all of 5 mins, and he only charged me $40. Wish I had found him before when my washer stopped working!

Extremely prompt, very pleasant and professional. He came the same day, and had my door in the shop. It took 2 days to fix, he returned it promptly and it works beautifully. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous! We called on Sunday (Mother's Day) because the washing machine would not drain. Glenn assessed the problem over the phone and gave us a quote. He sent his son out that afternoon. He was punctual, repaired the problem quickly and charged the exact price of the quote. Very professional, honest and easy to work with. The machine works great again! Went very well. He was able to get one sock out without taking dryer apart, however, the second sock was stuck farther in. Had to remove front of dryer and retrieve sock. He called ahead to check on what make dryer was so he would know what he would need to do to fix it, i.e., whether he would have to work through the back or the front of dryer. Gave me a price range of what it would cost to fix it.

Glenn is great. I called him on Sunday morning (Mother's Day) because our washing machine stopped spinning. He talked to me over the phone and told me to start with cleaning out a hose filter. He said to try that first and then call him back to let him know if it worked. He said if it did not, he would come out and fix the pump. Once i did what he said, everything worked great. He fixed the problem over the phone and did not charge me a dime! He even called me back to see how it went. He could have come out and done that himself and charged me $100 and I would not have been the wiser. But he seems more interested in doing honest and good work and I really appreciated that! I would highly recommend him and if I need any repairs in the future he will be my first call.

Mr. Townsend was very knowledgable and diagnosed the problem immediately. The motor went out and he recommended we buy a new one instead of spending money to replace the unit.

Came on Saturday morning -- the day after we called. After making the fridge leak so he could see where the water was coming from, he found the connector between the line in the fridge to the line for the dispenser was loose. Ran the water dispenser several times to make sure it no longer leaked. It took more time to take off the panel to get to the connections than to actually fix the problem.

Glenn Jr. was great! He arrived within an hour of me calling for help. He was able to quickly diagnose and fix the issue (dishwasher wouldn't drain). He was very polite and courteous - I will definitely use them again!

It was great! He diagnosed the problem on the phone on a Sunday afternoon and showed up a few hours later with all the parts needed to fix it. There were even some unexpected issues with a unit that old and he had what he needed. His years of experience show, and he knows great service and prices keeps you ahead of your competition. Scheduled appointment with provider for 11a today. Called at 11:30a after no one showing up and got a voicemail box. Called back at 11:45a and no one answered. at 11:50a I finally got a call back asking what I wanted. After I identified myself, I was told they had a miscommunication and they would be on their way, but would be another hour. I wasn't able to keep the appointment due to a meeting scheduled for this afternoon. I wouldn't recommend. Poor communication.

Glenn Townsend Sr. called within an hour of my message requesting service through Angie?s List. I have a full size stack Maytag washer and dryer that is 20 years old. The dryer had a broken belt and he agreed to come out the next day. I have always enjoyed watching repair persons as they work as I am able to learn from them. I thought this would be a simple job but discovered as I watched, that the job was going to be much more complicated because of the stack construction of the unit. Due to this fact, I spent a few hours with Mr. Townsend Sr. as he worked. I learned a lot about him in a short time. I mentioned that I had selected him because of all the great reviews he had on Angie?s List. He replied, ?If you do what you say you are going to do and do a good job, you get good reviews.? In diagnosing the problem he looked beyond the obvious broken belt to find the reason the belt broke. It would have been much easier for him just to replace the belt and leave, but he realized another part needed to be replaced or within a few months the belt would break again. This made the job really time consuming as he had to almost completely disassemble the dryer. He also did not have the second part with him as he did not expect to have to replace it, so he had to leave and come back the next day to finish the job. Additionally he had to do some improvising on the parts as the originals were no longer available. His 40+ years of experience really helped. I was very impressed with Mr. Townsend Sr. for several reasons. He reminded me of the days where a person?s word was his bond; where honesty and pride in one?s work mattered. He did what he said he would do when he said he would. He showed up exactly on time (extremely rare in my experience), and worked to the best of his ability until everything was done right. Despite the fact that the job took much more time and effort than he expected when he quoted me a price, he only asked for the quoted $125.00. This, I thought, is a man of integrity and character. With utmost confidence and respect, I highly recommend him and his son to anyone who needs their services.

Glenn came when he said he would to replace a burned out element in my wall oven. He had to take the oven completely out of the wall and attach the new element from the back. It turned out to be a lot bigger job than we had planned, but Glenn took it all in stride. He charged me a reasonable amount for a hard job.

Great. He came as soon as I called him and fixed the issue with our refrigerator. Very fast!

It was fine. The gentleman indicated the fix wouldn't be economically viable. He was prompt. You can talk directly to the owner. He's a nice guy. He's honest and friendly. He gave good advice on picking out a replacement refrigerator, which has worked very well.

When I called I was told I would get a call back to set the appointment. I got a call last night and he came today. Very easy no complications with others making the appointments then cancelling because they over book. He was very pleasant and professional. He fixed the drainage problem in less than hour. Mr. Townsend was available when he said he would be. He was here when he said he would be. He was communicative as to what he was doing...and, could do. Glenn interacted with our Property's engineer to make sure our out-flow ventilation was up to snuff, so to speak. It was a great relief, not only the expense of a new dryer, but the moving involved would NOT have been simple or easy. I appreciate a certain sense of urgency and of concern for the total picture which usually calls for above and beyond during a basic repair. Although, I am sure that Mr. Townsend does not view his work as just any old thing. We, as his customer, thusly benefit. It was a pleasure to meet Glenn and we will call again...no matter how obscure our repair may seem. My sense is, and straight up, he would try his best or back off from the get-go. Integrity, I believe, is his calling card. And, he is old~school in his ethics and know-how. I wish him well until the next time. Best regards, Patti
