I bought a Groupon for a basic roof maintenance package and called to schedule the service. Got voice mail, left a message. Two days later, I called again since no one had returned my call. This time I got hold of someone, who told me I need to send an email to request service. So I sent an email. Two days later, I sent another email. Five days later, I called and left another voice mail and sent another email. No response. Finally contacted Groupon and requested cancellation/refund.

In looking more closely at G & G's website, I see that they have several customer testimonials that all have the same spelling/grammatical error, as well as some specific peculiarities that appear elsewhere on their website. Clearly the customer testimonials are all bogus.

These guys are either disorganized or incompetent...or both. And dishonest as evidenced by the phony customer testimonials.  I consider myself lucky that they failed to respond. Suggest you look elsewhere for your roofing needs.

G&G went above and beyond to make sure that our roof was perfect and that the construction went very smoothly. It is a pretty messy process, but they kept everything as clean as possible for all the work that was getting done.  It became a long process because of all the rain that we've been getting, but Josh was great about communicating every day when they would try to restart the job.  Josh definitely was the reason we used G&G - after getting several bids and meeting with lots of different companies.  He was very honest and a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Overall, couldn't be happier with our new roof.  I will definitely recommend G&G Restoration to friends and family.

When I called them to schedule, they schedule me and the technician never showed up. I kept calling and the people, I don’t know but I think its a home business or just husband and wife or what. But, it seemed like they are running the business out of their house, as it felt this way. I kept calling, and it was just not very professional. They did not even apologize, Amy the secretary or the one that responds. She was not apologetic about their person never showing up. She never gave a courtesy call. At first she said that when I called that the guy was going to show up, she told me that she didn’t know when and would call him. She never called me back, so I kept calling to ask if he was showing up or going to be late, she finally answered and told me that he had an emergency, and I asked why she never called to tell me this several hours after my service was schedule. I had to reschedule again, I know there were like several times, i don’t really recall, but I remember that he never showed up because I had to cancel my other plans. I had to sit and wait for him to show up when he never came.  So I called again and the Amy girl gave me the number to the person and I was able to contact him directly and I think there was still some issue, he showed up late, in fairness he was nice, but when he came so when he finally arrived, he didn’t even have a clue on what he was supposed to do, actually the job I paid for said that he would check the roof and clean the gutters. That is what the $100 was for. So it was like a roof check and gutter cleaning. So when he showed up, he said he didn’t know he was supposed to do the roof,  he didn’t have tools with him, so he had to leave and come back another time, he did come back, I don’t remember if it was the next day or whenever, he was nice, but overall, not counting against the worker, but the company, was not very professional, it felt like they were just a staffing agency, it didn’t  feel like their employees, like they weren’t connected, like he wasn’t aware what was going on, and Amy not following up after the job was done, no follow up call. So overall I would never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. Just a very unprofessional company, they did perform the job, but over, the communication is why. but professionalism definitely give them an F, but in the terms of the job I would give them a B rating.  The employee did what was required of him to do.

I purchased a Groupon in May of 2015 to have G & G General Contractors come out to my home to inspect my roof and do some minor repairs. When I called them to make an appointment, the receptionist who answered the phone failed include G & G General Contractors as part of her greeting. That's a bad first impression. At that time the receptionist said that there was a waiting list to get service. I left my contact information with the receptionist and she assured me that I would be contacted to schedule an appointment.
By July it was obvious no one was going to call me back. Bad second impression. I called them again and finally got a service date. I was not home during the appointment, but my wife was.
We are unsure of what exactly the technician did other than show up. The G & G General Contractors technician left without having my wife sign any papers or giving her anything that would have even proven the technician even showed up. Bad third impression.
The technician called me two days later and left a message on my voicemail. The technician said that, later that day or week, he would be giving me a report of the inspection to my home. It is now September and I've heard nothing from anyone who works at G & G General Contractors. No e-mail, phone, text, snail mail, or carrier pigeon. Bad fourth impression.
I would recommend not doing business with this company. The way they answer their phone is shady and confusing. The way they handle people who have already paid them money is deplorable. I have a house that needs plenty of general contractor work, and I will not be calling G & G General Contractors to do any of it.

The G & G General Contractors technician who originally came out to my home finally contacted me on September 16th. I not received a written report yet. The technician informed me that he performed no work because I needed to replace my entire roof due to excessive hail damage and I should have my home owner's insurance pay for it. G & G General Contractors has provided me with NO evidence that shows my roof needs to be replaced. The only resolution they recommend was to get a refund from Groupon, where I purchased the service from.I have since hired Billy Ciccolella at Dimensional Contracting using an Angie's List offer. Billy came out promptly to my home on Sept 21st to inspect my roof. He informed me that my roof is in good condition, no shingle needed to be replaced let alone the entire roof.G & G General Contractors are trying to defraud you and your home owner's insurance company. G & G General Contractors services are unprofessional, unethical, and immoral.

I've known this contractor for a couple of years, and I've given them several projects. Initially, I gave them a couplem of roofing jobs, which were very straightforward. They did a good job on those so I decided to give them a shot at doing this more complex project that involved following a list of recommendations from a structural engineer. Not only was G&G able to start within a few days after I called them, but they finished the whole project in less than half the time I though they would. After the job was complete, the work was reviewed by the same structural engineer that had given us an egnineer report before the project. G&G had completed 98% of the work as the engineer had recommended, and G&G completed the minor details that the engineer had noticed within 72 hours- no questions asked, no extra fees.  Even the engineer was impressed. I think there is room for improvement with regards on how G&G presents their estimates, but as far a price, quality of the work and timeliness, these guys are great.
