We hired them to clean our chimney and dryer vent. The tech arrived and inspected each and said that neither needed to be cleaned, but that the brick fireplace had cracks that needed to be repaired. It had been over a year since either had been cleaned, and we told him that our dryer had been signaling that the vent needed to be cleaned, so he agreed to get on the roof and clean it out at no charge if we hired them to repair the fireplace, which we did. He described the fireplace repair process as a coating over the entire firebox (after repairing the cracks), and that the coating is a material that has a higher heat rating than the brick itself. The quote was for a little over $900. The entire job took about 40 minutes from the time he brought a vacuum in to start cleaning the firebox, to the time he left. That did not seem very long for the process he described, so I inspected it and discovered that the material was a VERY thin coating and did not look like it would offer any heat protection at all. Also, he had only applied the material to the back and bottom of the firebox (not the sides). Additionally, there were places high on the back wall of the firebox where the mortar had deteriotated, and he had not repaired or coated those places at all. I contacted the company the following Monday, and they sent the same tech back out to redo the job. When he arrived, he asked ME what he should do, which was odd, so I told him he should complete the process he described and that we hired him to complete. He applied a thicker coat of the material, and also applied it to the sides of the firebox this time. Afterwards, he spray painted it with a coat of Rustoleum high heat spray paint (which you can buy for under $4 at Lowe, but the paint item on my invoice was $50). The first time we lit a fire after that, the coating he had applied cracked, peeled, and began flaking off. Again I contacted the company and again they sent the same tech out. He told me that the flaking was just the paint and not the protective coating he had applied, but he cleaned it all up, applied more material (I think), and painted it again. After a few more fires in the fireplace, most of the protective coating had DEFINITELY flaked off, and much of the material used to repair the cracks had fallen out as well. I once again contacted the company and sent them pictures (again). They texted that they would reach out to me to discuss the matter and determine a solution. After hearing nothing for over a week, I texted again, and they responded with a text and phone call. They agreed to give me a complete refund and followed through, so I appreciate that, and that's the reason I gave them 2 stars instead of the lowest possible rating. But the story did not end there. A few months later, I noticed that the roof cap on the dryer vent did not look right. I got on the roof to inspect it and discovered that it was a cap supported by 3 brackets, 2 of which had been cut, and the cap was hanging off to the side by the third bracket, not covering the vent pipe at all. This was apparently done by the tech when he cleaned out the dryer vent, and he apparently made no effort to repair it in any meaningful way. I ended up having to pay someone to replace it. I texted the company again with pictures, and received no response. All said and done, the fireplace is basically in the same condition as before the first repair, I have a clean dryer vent, and a new dryer vent cap which cost $450 installed (admittedly more expensive than a replacement of the same type would have been, but I opted for a newer, better vent cap), and 4 occasions that I had to be available for a repair. Perhaps this was just a lazy or incompetent tech, but each time I contacted the company, they reassured me that he is a good tech and normally does a good job. After telling friends about what I had they asked what I had paid. I found out that I had paid quite a lot , more than others had paid. The men were extremely nice,!effecient, and quick; however, I had wanted fireplace cleaned also but couldnâ t get it done when I found out the cost. The entire cleaning would have cost me WAY more than I had thought.

They over charged and very unprofessional

They did not show up at the appointed time. Then the driver texted me a picture of a house 45 minutes later and said he was there. It was not a picture of my house. I called the office to tell them. He had the nerve to ask me if I was sure, and did I look outside for his truck. I told them to just forget it.

The two men who came inspected my fireplace and showed me that I had a bad buildup of creosote. They performed a deep cleaning to get rid of the creosote. They were extremely knowledgeable and explained everything that they were doing. They were very thorough and did a great clean up job afterwards. I think their names are Shaun and Jeff. I canâ t say enough about how good this company is! Iâ m only using them from now on, and I will recommend them to everyone!
