The technician from fresh air duct cleaning was absolutely amazing! He was professional, friendly, honest, and most importantly did an amazing job! There was a noticeable difference after he was done working, and I am so appreciative because my son suffers from allergies. I've had my vents cleaned by other companies, but fresh air by far did the best job! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their air vents or dryer vents cleaned!

The quote started out at the $99 cleaning price but quickly turned into $350 for the "deep clean" (the $99 is just for the fireplace box, nothing above it). I rarely use the fireplace but agreed to the upgraded service to ensure that it was in good shape. Pricey, but based on what neighbors have told me about their chimney-cleaning experiences it wasn't necessarily a surprise. The service techs then went onto the roof to check the chimney from the top. After some banging (not sure for what reason) the tech came down and showed me photos of a bent spark catcher screen and recommended it be repaired. The office was supposed to send a new quote but did not. Time passed and, my fault, I told them to go ahead. No new parts/materials were required -- the screen was to be flattened out and reattached. The work was completed quickly, quality was just okay. Then the invoice was sent to me immediately. $200 additional charge for the repair. I paid the invoice without argument but I've learned a valuable lesson that I want to pass on to others. Ask detailed questions, insist on estimates, be patient, and expect price changes.
