"Hi Donann. I am sorry that you had a less than stellar experience with Fresh Air Home Services. We do our best to estimate the amount of time a job can take based on the number of vents in your home but it can vary depending on how dirty they are. Our technicians will not finish a job until the ducts are completely cleaned, so it can vary from job to job. We also explain our service options for air ducts, general cleaning vs deep cleaning, the procedures involved along with up-front pricing in our attempt, to be honest, and transparent with every customer. We apologize if there was any misunderstanding but there should not have been due to our full disclosure policy. "Charles, thank you for your feedback. When we discuss our dryer vent cleaning we mention our basic cleaning special which is indeed suitable for many clients. We do mention upfront our deep cleaning service as well. You are correct that the need for deep cleaning could only be determined after a technician inspects your dryer vent /duct. There are a few factors that would affect the pricing of deep cleaning (i.e. level of dirt, length of duct, the difficulty of access to roof vent), and once again that could only be determined after an inspection is performed. "Jamie, I am sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your service. We have policies in place to ensure every customer is well informed and to avoid negative experiences. We explain to every single customer about our basic dryer vent cleaning ($79) which is in fact very realistic in many circumstances. If there is a large blockage and/or the duct is considerably long and extending out the roof this can require a deep cleaning which will be explained to the customer in full detail along with pricing after an inspection is performed and before any work is done started. Our technicians will only perform work once the customer understands the service and cost fully beforehand and authorizes the work to be done. Everyone hired here at Fresh Air, from our office staff to our technicians, is fully vetted and must abide by our company code of honesty and transparency with all clientele. We pride ourselves on that fact and believe that's what truly sets us apart from our competition. Can mistakes happen? Of course. We are all human. This matter was reviewed with the technician and the accusations of rudeness and shaming do not fit his personality or his excellent rapport and history with previous customers. We do take these matters seriously and revisit our company mission with employees on a regular basis to ensure we are always doing right by our customers. "During the scheduling process, we make sure to let our customers know the difference between our General Cleaning and our Deep Cleaning services for Air Ducts. General cleaning is $129 per A/C unit. Deep Cleaning is $35 per supply duct, $75 per return duct. The technician runs a complimentary inspection of the entire system prior to starting the service. When a deeper cleaning may be necessary the technician shows the customer pictures from the inspection, recommendations are made, and the customer decides what route to take from there. The customer had requested a deep cleaning and was again made aware of the difference in pricing. We have attempted to contact this customer on several occasions to clear up any misunderstandings and resolve this issue, but we have not received any response aside from this review."

"I am sorry that you feel that way but that is not how we run our company. We do provide a general cleaning of fireplace & chimney for $99 which many customers have received and can testify to. There are certain instances where a fireplace and chimney cleaning can be greater than $99. For instance, if a chimney has not been cleaned in many years and there are high levels of soot and creosote present, for taller flues on multi-story houses, cracks and repairs needed, etc. You actually had 2 flues in your house which doubled the price and that was the main part of your cost increase."
