I?ve been dreading writing this review for the past six weeks because I don?t enjoy being negative, but I really feel like I owe it to other people who rely on these reviews to select their wedding vendors, as I did. In a nutshell, working with her truly caused me so much undue stress and worry the night before and day of my wedding ? instead of being able to relax knowing key details were being handled by a professional, I was doubly stressed out as my bridesmaids and wedding party scrambled to clean up after her countless errors, and knowing I had basically thrown $1,600 down the drain. I hired Alex as a Month of Planner for my wedding this past December, and began seeing red flags about two months to three months out (when I had already paid in full), but I had inaccurately assumed she that she would pull it together for the actual day. She was 25 minutes late to our rehearsal, and then was rushed, flustered and disorganized, telling our bridal party the wrong things and forgetting big pieces of our ceremony. Unbelievably, she was then 45 minutes late to the rehearsal dinner, and tried to lie about fixing a non-existent parking issue. When she finally arrived, she wrote notes from my mom and sister on her hands and arms. The day of, she arrives about 90 minutes late to begin set up, and when we arrive at the venue two hours before the ceremony started for the rest of our photos, she is frantically running around the room in sweats, did not acknowledge me once, and has placed all the décor in the wrong places. I can?t emphasize enough how clear and detailed all the directions I provided her were; a kindergartner could have executed these plans. She continued to be disastrous the rest of the evening, telling my bridal party the wrong things and snapping at them when they corrected her. Every one of our vendors remarked on how unprofessional she was, with one asking if she was just a family friend we had asked to help out ? he truly couldn?t imagine we would have actually hired this person. It was frustrating and embarrassing, and just writing this review is putting me in a bad mood all over again, but I feel like people deserve to know what they?re actually getting in hiring Alex. It?s a huge mistake that I greatly regret making. I cannot emphasize enough how prepared I was, and the great shape of everything I gave Alex. Every vendor told me repeatedly I was the most organized, easy-to-work-with bride ? it?s not as if I gave her a bunch of uncoordinated details and expected miracles. Thank God we had an incredible wedding party, venue manager and photographer who stepped up to the plate and helped mitigate her errors. Just writing this review is putting me in a bad mood, and I?d rather leave this in the past, but I wish so much that I had seen an accurate review of her work before I made the mistake of hiring her.
