These guys were fantastic!! Unlike other service providers, that make you schedule a window of time for your appointment, they were able to give an exact time. They made sure to show up early too, so that I was able to fit the appointment into my lunch hour. And when they were unable to finish all of the work during one lunch hour, they came back the next day, with no problem to finish up the work. I had purchased 2 wifi thermostats 6 months ago, but the first person that attempted to install them was unable to do so and told me that I needed to purchase additional transformers because my system was too old (15 years old!) to work with the new thermostats. So I purchased the transformers and scheduled Bill Cody and Sons to come install everything. They were actually able to install the thermostats without the transformers, which was great! I was able to return the transformers and get my money back! They came back the next day to check my ac systems and clear a clogged line. After inspecting the condensers, they found the start capacitor ($80) on one unit not working and the running capacitor ($50) on the other unit not working. They suggested at least replacing the running capacitor, but said the start capacitor was not completely necessary. I had them replace both to ensure my ancient systems keep functioning as long as possible. They were very honest with me about the condition of my two systems, and how long I could expect them to continue functioning properly, which was thankfully at least another year. I would definitely recommend to others.

He did a great job and he was on time.

I initially called in to have an estimate done on installing a drain pan for my water heater and also to fix a clogged toilet. Made an appointment for someone to come out on Wednesday June 4th at 9am. Mark came out around 9:30 (they called to let me know that he was running late), fixed the clog and did the estimate all in about an hour. The clogged toilet ran $165. Then, on Sunday June 8th, the toilet clogged again. They sent someone out on Monday, even earlier than they originally thought they'd be able to come (hooray!!). They fixed the clog again at no cost and let me know what they found so we can avoid clogs in the future. Everyone I spoke to, from the plumbers to Devon in dispatch, was kind, courteous, and respectful. The work was done quickly and there was no mess afterwards to worry about. They could be better about timing, but honestly I was so impressed with the customer service that a little tardiness is worth it. Thank you for coming out and fixing our bathroom!!

All went well including them finding and repairing a vouple of sprinkler line leaks we did not know about. Goog work all around.

Things went phenomenal. They were great. They were available immediately. So, that was good. They are easy to schedule with. They showed up when they said they would show up. I was not even home when they did the work and they left invoice. They got the work done. It was in the backyard so they had access through the back gate. I guess convenience is the best thing that stood out to me. I would tell other Angie’s List that it is worth to call them if they have a problem, definitely give them a try. I was happy with their service.

He is a wonderful, wonderful plumber. My daughter recommended them because she was very happy with them and I was very pleased with them. They were clean and prompt. They did what they needed to do and they let me know what they were doing. It was a very good experience. I would definitely use them again.

On time and professional. Seemed a little high to clear clean out only there about 20 to 30 minutes.

When younger I made these small repairs myself, but it has gotten harder to get things just right. I had worked for hours trying to get the shower head installed so that it wouldn't leak. Just couldn't get that done. One of the Cody sons came out and within minutes completed the job perfectly. I haven't kept up with the escalation of repair costs, so that was my only surprise. Despite that, the next time that we have plumbing problems I would not hesitate for a minute in calling Cody again to take care of it.

It went great! Within an hour of purchasing the Big Deal on the Angie's List website, Randy Cody contacted me to schedule an appointment. Tony came out on Memorial Day, which was very convenient for my and my husband's schedules. He was very professional and friendly, and explained the condition of our HVAC and air conditioning unit. Turns out our bearings were loose in the motor, which is luckily still under warranty. Tony ordered the new motor for us as it wasn't in stock and worked with our schedules to replace it as soon as the part came in (a couple days later). The second appointment went as well as the first. Tony was great, and I will most definitely use Cody & Sons again for heating/air and I'll use them from plumbing if/when we have any issues.

Our solar pool heater had a leak, Brad, the tech who came out told us they did not have a lot of experience with solar pool heaters but they would try and fix it. He also made sure to mention that their work is guaranteed. Long story short they had to come back four times and order a part directly from the manufaturer to get the problem fixed. Even though they did nothing wrong, they simply did not have the correct part, they still cheerfully and profesionally stayed on top of the issue. They were prompt, they were professional, and extremely reliable! This comapny is fabulous, they truly guarantee their work!!!

Very punctual and professional. I happened to be away from the house and the technician called to let me know he had arrived early. Replaced spigot while I was away and took credit card over the phone. Technician also improved the brick, piping and insulation at the spigot site. Price was approximately 15% higher than other providers, HOWEVER, absolutely worth the professionalism and Quality of Work. You get what you pay for! The Thank You Card was old school and gave me a little chuckle. Will use again and recommend.

One of the shower heads in our master bath had been vigorously dripping for a couple of weeks. We have home warranty coverage and asked them to send a plumber . The home warranty plumber did change the valve cartridge but 3 days later it was leaking again. On re-examination, home warranty plumber said the solution was to break into shower stall wall either by removing tile inside which home warranty would not pay to replace, or removing/replacing brick outside , in order to remove and replace the entire shower valve assembly inside the wall. Because the home warranty co. said they do not use specific brand name plumbing fixtures and would only pay to replace shower fixtue with standard builder grade chrome, we decided we needed a "second opinion" about this plumbing repair. We placed the home warranty plumber "on hold" for next day appointment and called Cody & Sons Plumbing with our urgent request for help. Cody & Sons Plumbing had done a wonderful job installing our two beautiful new Kohler commodes during our bathroom remodeling project in fall 2012, so we were existing customers. Philip Cody came just a couple of hours later, really listened to our "home warranty horror story", removed the valve cartridge installed by home warranty plumber and observed it was a generic junk knockoff cartridge and was much longer than the correct Delta replacement cartridge when seen side by side. Luckily, Philip had the correct Delta cartridge with him and installed it for us. The dripping stopped almost instantly. The costly damaging/destructive repair suggested by the home warranty plumber was totally and completely unnecessary, per Philip Cody, our trusted local plumber. The simple quick exchange of generic junk knockoff cartridge for the correct Delta replacement cartridge for our Delta fixture resolved the dripping shower head problem with no damage to shower stall wall or fixture whasoever. Let this be a lesson to those of you with home warranty protection plan coverage who may have plumbing problems. The home warranty plumber could turn out to be an even bigger problem than the drippy shower head you started with. Just call Randy and Philip Cody at Cody and Sons Plumbing. They will honestly advise you on what is really wrong and not overcharge you to get it fixed - fair, honest, and quick .

Mark arrived at my rental house promptly on the morning of 5/6, and proceeded to perform the pressure testing of the gas line to determine the location of the leak, so he could provide a quote. His price was fair, I accepted, and he was able to begin work that afternoon. This was very important to me, as I wanted to minimize the inconvenience to my tenant. The work was completed the following day, after which Mark immediately requested the City to come out that afternoon to perform the requisite pressure test to approve the repair. The new line did pass the pressure test (meaning there were no additional leaks, thank goodness!) and Mark's crew returned to close up the trench and the job was completed. The next morning the gas company came to turn the gas back on. I want to add here that Mark was very pleasant and professional throughout, and the job proceeded smoothly and quickly. This made my tenant happy, and me as well! I will definitely use this company again for any future plumbing and air conditioning / furnace needs.

I waited too long to agree to the job and they were booked. But they were very fairly priced and very courteous.

They are great! They came out the same day I called, within hours, and this was not even urgent. The plumber, James, was very nice and knowledgeable and friendly. Fixed both problems in about an hour. I was very impressed. I will call them again for sure :)

Both times they were very professional and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. The first repair was not covered by our home warranty because it required accessing plumbing from the roof. The second was an easy fix and they showed us the source of the problem. I also wanted them to check the source of an odor associated with my washing machine and they went under the house (pier and beam) and crawled the entire length (prob 100+ft)

Phillip arrived in good time. He was Friendly and Professional. He cleared both drains in a short time. I made a good choice and would call again.

We have dealt with several plumbers in our home and were at our wits end with poor service. Bill Cody and Sons Plumbing provided the best service in every aspect.
