Chippers Tree Service

After the big windstorm, we had many tree and branches that needed removal. Chippers did a wonderful job. They were very professional, prompt and polite. They even cleaned up the leaves in our front door area and driveway - a very nice surprise.

I requested a Chippers bid in view of one from another company that was more than I wanted to pay. The arborist came out soon and submitted a proposal with a price that I liked. Received an appointment for the work that was rather soon after that. Later, I was notified in advance of a time change; then the crew arrived at the new time I'd been told. The work was exactly as proposed and perfectly done as far as I can tell. The surprising thing was how fast they were. They completed the work on three trees in thirty minutes.

DO NOT HESITATE TO HIRE THIS COMPANY! We were amazed at how this well-oiled machine went about their work. These 3 guys cut down 9 huge (but dead) Pyracanthas, trimmed another huge tree (professional tree climber), and ground down and removed some stumps left over from our trying to cut down some bushes ourselves. Very seldom do you come across professionals like this - who have the speed, expertise, and pure talent to do so much - with excellence - so quickly - AND they cleaned up all the debris - JUST AMAZING!!! HIRE THEM!!!!!

Varo, their estimate manager, was on time, quite informative, very patient, personable and competent in covering every aspect of this job. We were advised company schedule had no immediate appointment available but being an emergency (to hopefully prevent the tree from shifting and taking our fence and shed), they'd do their best. Megan, their polite and knowledgeable office manager, called the next morning, advised an opening had come up and they would do the job immediately! She also assured both estimates were correctly calculated and answered all our questions to ensure we were satisfied. The team arrived on time and were exceptionally competent! They moved items within our yard to assure there was no accidental damage. They addressed additional questions and concerns along the way. They personally dealt with contacting another neighbor to clear limbs that had fallen into their fenced yard. The stump grinding was top-notch using a very large machine. They ground 6" below grade level; another service we used prior had only gone 2". Chippers also agreed to leave the wood chips to help us level the ground as rain compacted it. Highly recommend Chippers and would use again without hesitation.

Chippers was just excellent. Meaghan in the front office coordinated and confirmed all information following their price quote and scheduling. Their work crew showed up today on time. Courteous, knowledgeable and skilled 3 man team. Work was flawless. Alphonso, the crew boss, listened to my input before starting and followed the instructions perfectly. Large 40-year-old tree, perhaps 40-50 feet tall. They thinned and shaped the crown and large limbs (and small) to beautifully and quickly. They tarped the pool to prevent debris from entering and cleaned up the property as though they were never here. All wood and branched pruned were chipped and hauled away. Nothing for me to do regarding cleanup. Would definitely use again. They know their stuff and your trees will look just as terrific as you imagined following the job! Thanks Chippers!

It went very well. I met with one of their representatives for a quote. The quote was fair and I proceeded with scheduling the work. They performed the work while I was at work and I was able to pay the invoice online. It was very efficient and professional. I would definitely use Chippers again.

I have dealt with several different tree service companies in the past but NONE have even come close to the level of professionalism and quality as Mr.Ruiz and the entire crew at Chippers. When I need tree work done, I don't even waste time getting estimates from anyone else. The first job was the removal of a dying red oak (at least 60' tall) in between two residential structures and a power line running right thru the middle- a VERY dangerous job, but this company took it on like it was nothing - absolutely NO damage(not even a scratch !!) to anything around anywhere! The job began somewhere around 9 in the morning and the site was clean/finished in the early afternoon!The last time they were out here they removed another red oak (bigger/taller than the last one)that was in another spot just as dangerous(not even 10' away from the house..yes i know it shouldn't have been there in the first place but don't blame me i didn't plant the thing )- again absolutely NO damage to anything!!! The crew worked quickly, but never compromised safety.Pricing is very competitive. Chippers is the ONLY tree company i will hire again because the quality of work and price/value comparison is the best anywhere. The service from the office staff is also the best I've ever dealt with- very knowledgeable and quick to help with any question.

Our huge 30 year old Bur Oak was severely damaged in the last storm. Following recommendations on Nextdoor I called Chippers to prune my beautiful tree, which had never been professionally trimmed. Varo was very knowledgable and gave me a very fair price on the work needed. His crew was great, and they left the yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. Following the job I had some concerns about how much was cut from my tree. Varo came right out the next day to see the work his crew had done. He explained why the tree was pruned the way it was and answered all of my questions, he did not leave until I was fully satisfied that they had done the right thing for my tree. I love my Bur Oak and would not trust it, or any other tree, with any company other than Chippers!

Very pleased with their service. The work was performed on schedule, they cleaned up afterwards, and the priced was reasonable.

I met with Varo on 20 Feb to get an estimate of the work that needed to be done. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He provided me a quote of $900 to remove my 2 Bradford Pear trees. I contacted a couple of other companies for an estimate after he left and found that his price was very competitive. I called to set an appointment to have the trees removed on 27 Feb. His crew arrived on time on 27 Feb. The crew consisted of 2 trucks, 4 men, a chipper and a stump grinder. The crew was very professional and friendly. They worked very well together and had the work totally complete in 1.5 hours. I was VERY impressed that they were able to get my 2 trees completely cut down, limbs chipped, stumps ground up and everything cleaned up in that amount of time. The photos that I have posted are exactly how the yard looked after the work was done.....minus the new trees that we had planted. The before photo was actually taken a couple of years ago. So, my trees were even bigger than what is shown in the photos. I would definitely recommend Chippers to anyone that is looking for a professional crew to do tree service.

Varo was spot on in everything....I watched the work proceed....fascinating and when you do this you'll want to stand well clear of the field of operations! Varo had two of his best men on the job and they worked quickly, efficiently, and were pleasantly agreeable with my watching from a safe distance. They were safety conscious, respectful of our other plants in the backyard, and really took care of business in finishing the job on the two trees in back...the job on these two required one of them to use mountain climbing type gear to climb the tree and saw off the branches and hand them down to his partner below and then take down the trunk in sections as he came down. It was obvious these two were no beginners! The tree in the alleyway came down in the preferred direction because they'd gotten a rope around a major branch and were able to get it to lean in the direction it needed to fall....worked perfectly and I never would have thought to do it that way. Entire job took around two hours or so, and I told them I was totally satisfied with the job, which is the complete and honest truth....it's 100% perfect!

They removed the tree and ground down the stump. They did an excellent job, because it was super easy for the crew that installed the new tree I purchased. They were extremely thoughtful, making sure not to cause any damage to my lawn, furniture, or property with their equipment. Not only that, but it was very affordable! They're coming out soon to do some tree trimming!

Great job! This crew was very professional and efficient. They did more than I expected and totally opened my yard up to more sunshine! These trees look much taller now and you can see the trunk and branches better. There was a lot of cleanup involved. They removed all branches then used a blower to get the leaves out. They even cleaned out the rain gutter with a blower. I would have no hesitation to call them again.

I contacted Chippers this past Saturday, and they responded to me the same day. Before calling Chippers, I had just canceled scheduled services with another company as we had waited three weeks to get scheduled. All that to say, I was impressed with Chippers promptness in responding. We got a consultation scheduled for Monday. They called us Monday and asked if it was okay they showed up thirty minutes earlier than our scheduled time which was fine by me! They were knowledgeable about what needed to be done, friendly, and professional. They said we would be contacted to schedule the services. After he left and within ten minutes, we got a call from Megan in the office to schedule. We got scheduled for the following day! We were scheduled for around 10 AM, but the guys called us around 8 AM and asked if they could come early which once again was fine by me. Within 2 hours, all four trees had been trimmed and the limbs taken care of by their chipper machine. The trees looked awesome. All our concerns were addressed and taken care of. They cleaned up after themselves and no mess was left behind for us to worry about. They offered for us to pay in check or contact the office to pay with credit card. Megan sent us an invoice and we were good to go. After weeks of rain in DFW, many places were behind by a couple weeks (understandably). We had some limbs that needed to be addressed immediately, though, and Chippers was able to do so! Their prices were comparable to other companies. Their professionalism and punctuality surpassed our interactions with other companies, though. We will definitely be using their services again and hope others have the same great experience with Chippers that we did.

A couple of weeks ago I discovered that the massive old hackberry tree in my alleyway was rapidly approaching end of life.  Because of its size (over fifty feet tall with massive trunk and limbs) and weight, it posed a clear danger to people walking and cars driving in our alleyway, and the problem needed to be handled immediately.  I began to research companies that appeared qualified to handle the removal of such a tree that was within striking distance of two detached garages....mine and my next door neighbors.  When I read customer reviews, I noted that Chippers had a solid record of satisfied customers over a long period of time and handling different tree related jobs.  Many others were good, but from reviews I decided that Chippers was the company I wanted to trust to handle this delicate procedure....delicate because my garage is valued at 8,000 and my neighbors garage is equally valuable.  I decided upon Chippers from among seven possible contenders.

Meghan in Chippers customer service was easy to talk to and understood my situation.  She asked the question necessary to set up an appointment time and day that would meet my needs and was open for Chippers.  Also....understand that Chippers was not the least expensive option available, but from reviews I understood that this was a case where I needed the best, not the least expensive.  The set-up was incredibly smooth and easy.

Chippers Team showed up right on time in the alleyway and set right to work.  Now, you all know what a chain saw sounds like, however imagine what a couple of chain saws and a huge chipper all going at once sounds like!  I was absolutely amazed at how fast this operation proceeded.  I had guessed the entire tree removal procedure would take five or six hours, but the Chippers Team was finished in half that time!

Now, before I even called Chippers in the first place I had an idealized image in my mind of how I wanted this jobsite to look when the crew that performed the tree removal left at the end of the job.  It almost never happens, but in this case I'm thrilled to report that when Chippers Team left the job as completed that the jobsite matched my idealized dream exactly!  It was neat, clean, tidy, and all that remained was a perfect short stump where this multi-ton tree used to reside.  In my Humble Opinion, Chippers Tree Services delivered more than I'd paid for by solving the problem of this giant "rat-trap" threat of a tree that was certain to harm people and property if left alone, and when they left they had the problem solved one hundred per cent. 

I can specifically recommend Chippers Tree Services if you have a big old tree that's damaged, diseased, or dead/dying and you are searching for a company that can come and take the old tree away for you.....this company is the company to call!  And, my guess is that they're pretty darn good at the other tree services they do, and I'd not hesitate to call them if I ever have any problems with any of the trees on my property.
