I had contacted Jeff Castro on the 6th of March and he actually came out that evening to give a quote. After receiving the quote and seeing some from other companies he was by far to most reasonable for the work that I had requested. I did add on work after the original quote but was willing to pay extra to get the whole job completed. The reason I called Castro was because of Angies List and low and behold he knew my neighbors next and right behind me. This put me at ease with Jeff and his crew, knowing that he has either done work for my neighbors or attended school with them. Jeff was willing to to do whatever he needed to do to get the job done. I found it to be quite cool of him to bring his crew some lunch so they would not have to leave and be able to complete the job in one day. From day one he said he would get all of the work done in 1 day and yes I was skeptical of the aggressive timeline but it came true. They showed up at 930 and had everything completed by around 530. Watching his crew work was entertaining, What I mean is they were all on the same page and communicated well. We had no issues arise during the work and was impressed by that since there were only 7 trees that were out of range of the house or power lines. I will be using him again to trim up a beautiful live oak and to also cut other trees down once I get one replacement tree planted to replace the ones that were removed.

I was concerned that the limb could fall and cause great damage to my roof. I contacted Castro on Sunday, He called me to get more details and sent a crew to my house by noon the very next day. Tree branch was professionally cut and removed. And, the cost for the service was fair and reasonable. Recommend highly!

It was great dealing with Jeff. He did what he said he would do, when he would do it, and timed it all so that the city could pick up the brush the next day. Communication was superb and I could not be happier. I asked him what else his crew did because I wanted to have some new trees planted to replace the dead trees he removed ! That's how highly I thought of Jeff and his crew. I highly recommend Jeff and Castro's Tree Services.

Excellent. Crew showed up when expected and gave a fair estimate. Did the job quickly and hauled away the refuse at no extra charge. I've used Castro's twice now and both times have been very positive experiences. Will definitely use again!

Jeff arrived when he said he would arrive and finished the job when he said it would be done. I would definitely use him again.

I called Castro's tree service and booked an appointment to have him come and cut out some of the dead wood from two of my trees. One of which was over the power line. He came out and looked an both trees and even let us know that one of them was suffering from borers and who we should contact about that. His crew came out on time and did a great job trimming and thinning out the trees. They stacked it neatly at the curb for pickup and even blew away the debris! They were timely and very easy to work with. Thanks so much!

It went great. Mr. Castro got in touch promptly. He came by and bid the job. We set a tentative date. He called every 2 or 3 days to keep me informed on weather and schedule changes. His crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, cleanly and stacked everything. The trees are beautiful, healthy and safe.

We are a return customer. Jeff and his team did a GREAT job! After the storm blew through in early October we had one of our large cedar elms partially fall on our house/power line. At the time Jeff was busy and wasn't able to help with the initial removal, so we had to go with another company. They only removed the portion that was laying on our power line and left a mess of a tree in our side yard. I called Jeff on Nov. 5th to see if he'd have time in the next couple weeks to take that tree down with the possibilities of some other smaller jobs. After looking up my heavy trash pick-up, he said that he could potentially come out the next day but needed to see what work needed to be done. He came out that same afternoon, called me and walked through my yard asking me what I wanted done as well as other items that his team could do. He quoted me a price, we agreed and the next day his team was able to complete all of the work. And our yard looks great! We didn't realize how large our side yard was with all of the overgrown brush gone! We are looking forward now to the spring planting season as well as we are ready for whatever winter storms that may hit us. We don't live in fear of the next storm hitting Dallas! Plus his team did a great clean-up job. The tree debris are neatly stacked ready for the city pick up next week and his guy that ground the stumps spread and mulched around our house. A HUGE thanks again to Jeff and his team! Highly recommended and we will be calling him again in the spring for additional tree sculpting.

I had some storm damage break a limb from my tree, and the branch was laying on my roof, still half-attached to the tree. Any future storms would likely cause the branch to drag on the roof and break shingles. Due to all the other storm damage in my area, Jeff was super busy, but he still found time to come and examine my tree, and make recommendations. He determined that I need a tree surgeon to see about why my tree is so brittle, and gave me a contact number for one he recommends. Jeff was sure that he could not get a crew out sooner than a week away, he told me after giving me his estimate. However, come the next business day, I was surprised to find that his crew had arrived to do the work. Jeff called me later to tell me that the crew had finished another job early, and he had sent them my way, knowing it would not be possible any other day. Jeff is a good man to think of me like that. The crew did a great job, trimmed the branches expertly without any damage to the house, and even swept up the leaves on my patio while taking the debris out to the curb. Excellent work. I will definitely be continuing to use Jeff for all my future needs.

Jeff contacted me a few hours after I called for an estimate. He arrived the next day and provided an estimate and went through a detailed explanation of what work would be done. He even fit me in for the next day (today) so that the brush debris would be available for city pickup next week. His workers were great as well and cleaned up after themselves. I'll definitely look to using them again. Very prompt and professional.

At midnight my wife and I were awakened by the crackling sound of our tree falling. Fortunately, the diseased and dying tree was very slowly bending and breaking coming to a rest on our house and fence. The very next morning we contacted Castro's Tree Service. The owner Jeff was out of town, but was able to coordinate the estimate and work that day (Friday). The crew of 4 arrived and quickly got to work. In only a few short hours, they had the tree down (except for the stump) and off our house and fence. This was done without further damage to the house, fence or the wires that also posed a problem. They were very nice to my mother-in-law who was home while the work was done. The cleaned up after themselves, hauled the tree away and even stacked some firewood for us to use (our request). All in all this was a good experience and we would recommend them.

I am a repeat customer. It's been 5 years since my tree had been previously trimmed. Jeff was very responsive to my phone call and was able to complete the work with only a few days notice. He worked very hard to coordinate with my schedule. He provided me with a phone estimate after her visited my property to look at the job. Although the estimate was much higher than I expected and much more than I paid last time, I knew the job would be done right, so I agreed to the price and we scheduled a date. Jeff's crew showed up on time as promised. They completed the tree trimming within about 2 hours and left no trace they were there once they cleaned up. The tree looks great and I am very happy with the work. In reviewing the work with his crew just before they left, I wanted a few additional limbs that were near the top trimmed. His team gladly got their gear back on, climbed up the tree and completed my request. His crew could not have been nicer. Jeff runs a top notch operation. I will use him again in the future.

Jeff bid the job within 2 days of my initial call. We scheduled a crew to perform the work a couple of days after that (just before our bulk trash pick-up). The guys did a great job. We were impressed at the care they took during the work. Based on the appearance of their riggings & equipment, I'd say they're used to working even higher up than our 25 yo oak trees have grown!

Jeff came out the same day my wife called him to give us an estimate, and he gave us a very fair price. Also, his team did a great job with all the work, including cleanup. We will definitely call Jeff the next time we need any work on our trees!

There is a reason Jeff Castro is Top Rated on Angie's List. Everything you read in the other reviews about Castro Tree Service is true. I know this sounds like a TV add but Look No Further!!!! Save yourself the time and headache in looking for a tree removal service and just call Jeff Castro. I found Jeff Castro on Angie's list after getting multiple bids on this project. I was impressed with all the positive reviews on Angie's list and wanted Jeff to come out and provide and estimate. Jeff was very prompt and professional in giving me an estimate.....and he actually came in the least expensive of all bids!!!!!! Jeff made contact with me about a week before the project started. He also contacted me about halfway though while the work was being done to make sure I was happy with everything so far. Jeff's crew did an outstanding job on this project. They showed up on time. The crew was very professional and the foreman walked around the yard with me prior to starting the work to go over any last minute details. The work was clean, neat, and fast. They even cleaned up the walkways, driveway, and porch areas with a blower upon finishing!!!! And used garden rakes to comb the areas where multiple bushes and shrubs were removed and stumps were ground. Honestly, I couldn't say enough about this company. Jeff Castro obviously takes a lot of pride in his workmanship and had an old school business sense in that he strives to keep his customers happy. Since moving into my house about 8 months ago I have dealt with multiple companies from electricians to carpenters. Jeff Castro has, by far, been the best experience so far; a breath of fresh air. It's a shame more companies aren't like his.

The crew had all the equipment one would expect a professional tree trimming crew to have. I am very impressed.Punctual crew arrive an hour early took 4 hours to finish and cleaned up nicely. Nice job.

The first time we used Jeff he was punctual, professional and reasonably priced. He removed a few dead trees around our house. The second time we used Jeff was just after a storm and one of our trees fell on a neighbor's power lines. Jeff sent his crew without delay and they carefully removed the fallen tree. We highly recommend Jeff - he does what he says he will do and the cost is reasonable.

After calling 5 providers and receiving 4 quotes, Castro's Tree Service (Jeff Castro) was the only provider who was able to make it out the same week to remove the fallen tree. Although the other providers had a more professional presence, the open communication, timely service and concern for our property lead to us choosing Jeff. We would highly recommend him and we are using his services again for other trees on our property.

Happy team of workers whistled and sang as they worked and worked together to make the job easier. Even the boss man helped clean up and pack up tools.

I contacted Jeff via Angie's list email and within minutes he called me on the phone number I provided. It was a weekend and he was out of town but asked if I'd send him photos of my tree he could do quote based on those. Jeff gave a reasonable price which include hauling away limbs and debris so I agreed to hire him. He was very flexible working with my schedule and desire to be home when his men were working. His crew arrived when they said they would and completed the whole job in about 3 hours. Tree looks great and yard was left clean. I will use Castro tree service again when I need this type of service.

Communication was easy and clear with Jeff Castro. He arrived on time to provide the free estimate. With prepared questions I had, it was clear he was quite knowledgeable about trees and their care. We set the date convenient to me first and foremost and to his crew & to ensure the job was complete before sanitation arrived for big trash pick-up. Crew arrived right on time and completed the job in about 4-5 hours. They did an exceptional job; and, they ensured all debris (tiny twigs and leaves) were removed and walkways were blown. The end result was a shock but totally acceptable. Not only will my trees be more healthy, but now my grass will get much needed sunshine. Jeff even followed my request to save a particular branch that my bird feeder hangs on because it's a perfect height and the birds have become accustomed to feeding there. Jeff followed up later in the afternoon to ensure I was satisfied, which I quickly replied that I was. Ironically, big-trash arrived less than two hours after the job had been completed! Castro Tree Service was very comparable in price for the type job required - and I feel it was money well spent for such quality and professional work.

Wow, this was such a great experience! My husband called yesterday morning to inquire about getting a tree removed that was damaged in a storm and was beginning to lean heavily on our fence. They came out a couple of hours later and immediately got to work! They were very fast, professional, and friendly. I can't even tell we had a tree there! We will definitely use them again and definitely recommend them!
