They completed the job sometime in February, a week after the snow storm in Dallas. I paid him extra to get to the figure. He was timely and he had a good crew, a big crew. They were very good. He was available at that point and time. It was a very bad situation. But the main thing is that he had the people to out on the trees. He was fine.

After our big snowfall the last of February, I noticed my tall cedar tree in the back yard was leaning precariously towards my shed. Several large branches had fallen and peeled the bark off the tree, but were still attached to the tree. If the tree had fallen, it would have taken out my shed, my fence, my neighbor's fence and some utility meters. I called Jeff on Thursday and he was very busy but said he would come over to look at it that afternoon. It was going to be a windy, rainy day on Friday and I was aftraid the tree would not make it. Although he had a full day the next day, he talked to his men and they said they could do it the next morning before the rain hit. They did come out when they said they would, they went right to work and cut down the tree and cut it up and placed it out front for the Cedar Hill storm pickup the next Monday. It took them about two hours to do it all. They also cleaned the up the yard and moved a very heavy birdbath back to where it was. They worked together and were very professional about it all. I would definitely hire them again.

They were on time and did the job quickly. They did excellent work removing and trimming trees, and their cleanup was great. They left my backyard in much better and cleaner shape than when the crew of four arrived. Jeff seemed knowledgeable and was very easy to deal with.

They were very punctual. Jeff and his co-worker cut down the tree, cut it into pieces, carried the cut tree away, and ground up the stump to below ground level.

Jeff and his crew came exactly at the agreed time and did the job quickly and efficiently, with no damage to the house, the tile roof, or anything else. They hauled off the debris and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The price was very competitive for a job that size, and they did a beautiful-looking job. Castro's Tree Service will be trimming my trees as long as he's around.

Jeff (the owner) was very prompt returning my call and staying in comatct with me. We had some weather delays to deal with and he was very good to communicate the rescheduling and timing. He showed up when he said he would and completed the job on time. He did a great job and wanted my input throughout the process to make sure I was pleased.

Great, Jeff was prompt with scheduling both the estimate and the actual work. Jeff and his crew went above and beyond and did a great job even spreading the fresh mulch from the stump grinding in the flower beds.

Overall, I could not have had a better experience. Jeff did more than I asked him to do. I would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend his services to anyone. He does a first-class job.

Jeff Castro was prompt and did the work well. He worked out fine for us and I was very pleased with him.

Jeff responed to our call on Friday that late afternoon. He came to the house and though he could not do the job right then, his men went up into the tree (massive oak) and secured the fallen portion to prevent further damage to the house. He said that his guys would be back Monday morning at 8:00am. A few minutes before 8:00 I heard the guys unloading equipment. The lead man, Felipe, met me and discussed what we wanted done, though Jeff had lined out the job quite well. Up into the tree he went, properly equipped with safety gear and roped off from above. 2 1/2 hours later they were cleaning up. He helped me move potted plants etc back on the porch. They swept the porch, the roof, and raked all around. We have city large trash pickup and the guys stacked everything properly to be removed. They were professional, neat, safe and polite.

Jeff Castro of Castro Tree Service did an excellent job on my call. I clicked on his name first because he was in the neighborhood AND he had the highest ratings in my area! He has a small operation, so I left a voice mail and he returned my call within 90 minutes. He knows the neighborhood, so I felt comfortable giving him my address to go and look at the tree. He gave called back with an estimate and was able to save me some money on hauling - he knew that the city's brush pickup was scheduled for that week and he didn't need to charge me extra to haul away the enormous amount of brush and clippings left behind. He stacked everything neatly behind the curb and cleaned up the area very well. Except for some sawdust at the actual site of the tree, you can't even tell that a cedar tree was even there! This is good, because my husband is allergic to cedar- I have expected to be raking and sweeping smallish cedar clippings FOREVER to remove debris that would aggravate my husband's allergies. BUT THIS WAS NOT NECESSARY! Jeff did it ALL! What a great job! He definitely OVERDELIVERED for me! I will call him again and highly recommend him to my friends. We live in an area that is prone to high-wind and storm damage-- I hope everyone will give Jeff Castro their business! Great Job!

Jeff was very quick to respond to my call for an estimate. Excellent follow-up. He provided me with an estimate of $200, which seemed high at the time. I felt comfortable with Jeff and he indicated the he knew exactly what needed to be done so that the tree would not be hacked (like my neighbors!). Jeff showed up on time as scheduled, with two additonal workman. I left Jeff with payment and returned later in the day. The tree looked great upon my return. I am glad I did not waste my time with further bids or attempt to find the lowest bid. The yard was completely clean and he did a great job. As the old saying goes, you get what you paid for and I got just that. I will use this company again!

It went great! Jeff and one of his guys were there bright and early to get the work done before the city came by to pick it up. They stacked all the limbs/branches neatly by the curb and did an excellent job with the stump grinding. I've had stumps ground before and the guys usually leave a big mess behind. Jeff and his guy spent and lot of time and effort to make sure the yard was swept nice, clean,level and they even put all the Cedar clippings in my empty flower bed where I told them I was about to start a big landscaping project. The cedar will make a great mulch amendment to the soil! In fact he did so much extra work that I gave him $500 instead of $475 because I got much more than I expected for the money.

Really well. I called on Friday and Jeff came by on Saturday to give me an estimate. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He recommended some work on my live oak in the front yard to make up for substandard work done by the previous owners. I will use Jeff to complete that job and some others in the future. Jeff came by at 8am on Monday as promised and did all the work i asked him to do. The yard is clean and I am already thinking of other projects to do! Also, Jeff does not have a $300 minimum like some other companies and he will do smaller jobs.

Jeff and his crew came right over and worked around the electricians and power lines to cut up the limb. He inspected the tree and talked with me about options. Unfortunately we agree that the tree needs to come down. Jeff scheduled the work around my bulk pick up day so that I could save some on hauling it away. He gave me an estimate of $1200 to remove this very large tree and did not charge me for the emergency visit.

It went great!!! They arrived at exactly 8 AM, 5 professionals, and begin to work. They moved all plant pots and decoration from around the trees and then began to trim the trees. They worked quickly and neatly, moving cut limbs and leaves from the back yard to a trailer to transport to the front. When they finished trimming the tree in the back they cleaned the ground completely and moved the pots and decorations back in place. They then moved to the front of the house, unloaded the limbs at the curb and began to do the tree in front. They proceeded as in the back. It took them 6 hours but they did a fantastic job.

Jeff dropped by to give me an estimate the same day that I called him. The work was done within three days after that. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. I will call him again next season for some more tree work I have planned. I feel like the price may have been a little high, but this is the first time I have had work like this done so I'm not quite sure.

It was amazing. I called Jeff Castro on Thursday and he said that he could get his guys out on Saturday at 7:30am. He provided me with a written estimate as well as a copy of his insurance and was very nice and very efficient. We were having guests over at 2p on Saturday and he promised that they would be done close to 2. The guys showed up at EXACTLY 7:30a on Saturday and worked worked worked all through the morning and were done by 11am. They ground the stump and took EVERYTHING out to the curb (bulk pickup is Tuesday, so Jeff said that it would be cheaper for me to have his guys put all trash out on the curb rather than haul it off) and swept my sidewalk of all sawdust and debris. The tree that was trimmed looks fantastic and my yard just looks great! I highly, highly recommend Mr. Castro and look forward to calling him again in the future.
