Jeff Castro quickly returned my call after I'd left a phone message. He came to my house that afternoon and gave me an estimate and a detailed explanation of what he would do by phone as I was unable to meet him. A 55-year-old red oak tree was removed and the work was done efficiently the day we had agreed upon. The stump was completely removed. There is no visible sign that a huge tree had once stood in that area. Firewood was neatly stacked in my fireplace rack, ground mulch was spread in a large area of my yard as I'd requested and along my backyard fence bordering the alley. He did exactly what he said he would do and did it perfectly.

Jeff arrived on time and performed a superb job, leaving it cleaner that it was. I plan on using Jeff in the future when I get to that phase of my project.

This is the second time I called Mr. Castro for Tree service. We used him to trim some large trees before. We were able to purchase a 1/2 lot next to our house that also had some trees that needed work. They did a great job. Not only were the trees trimmed, but you couldn't even tell they had been there. I would highly recommend.

After talking to two other companies, even though he was the lowest price, decided not to use him.

Jeff and his crew cut down the tree, cut it to firewood size, delivered it to our neighbor and completely cleaned area in just a couple of hours. We couldn't be more pleased!

Wow I have nothing but great things to say about Jeff and his company. He showed up on time and removed a huge elm tree in the front yard and also removed two large trees in the back yard and removed several stumps and he cleaned up every bit of the mess. He did a great job. TWO THUMBS UP!

I met with Jeff one afternoon and he was able to work me into his schedule the next morning. Jeff and his crew arrived on time and had the job completed and cleaned up within 4 hours. Jeff provided excellent and very professional service and supervised/worked with the crew during the job. Considering the proximity of the tree to the house, Jeff and his crew did an excellent job of roping all of the limbs before dropping to avoid any damage to the roof, gutters, fence, pool, and adjacent ornamental trees. They also left a very large stack of firewood, cut to length, and ready to be split for next year. I would highly recommend Castro's Tree Service and would not hesitate using them again.

This is perhaps the best experience I have had with a contractor. I called Jeff Monday afternoon after receiving a notice from the city, He explained that he was really busy but would try to get to me by Friday. He understood my concern that I was under a time constraint. Tuesday he gave me a call and said that they could squeeze me in on their lunch hour. They came and did the job far better than I ever expected. I even tipped him. This is a company you can depend on for timelyness, price, and integrity with their work.

I called Mr. Castro on the afternoon of the 22nd to inquire about an estimate. Jeff, had some time in between jobs and came over within an hour to take a look. He quoted me a reasonable price. His crew had time the next day to squeeze us in for an appt. They were very punctual with time to spare. The crew of four were courteous and professional. The job was done in less than an hour. I would definitely hire them again in the future.

The owner, Jeff Castro, and his crew did an excellent job. They arrived promptly at 8am. I really liked that Jeff stayed and supervised his crew and he cared about their safety. Jeff was very considerate and would have me come out to be sure they trimmed the trees exactly the way I wanted them. He even trimmed a few things for me for free. When they finished, they did a great job picking up all the branches and raked the grass to pick up smaller debris. I would highly recommend them for all tree work.

It went great. Jeff called the night before to let me know when he and his team would be arriving. They arrived on time, and pruned everything we'd discussed around my property, as well as my trees. They stacked up all the branches for the bulk pick up this week. I'm delighted with the way every thing looks and so grateful that I've found such an knowledgeable and professional company that I can count as one of my favorites.

The foreman is as knowledgeable as he is professional and courteous. His knowledge of arboriculture helped me make better decisions as to what needed the most attention. You will not do better than Castros, and you won't beat the price.

I attempted to remove the stumps myself. After about 15 minutes in 105 degree heat, I decided I wasn't getting anywhere fast. I contacted Jeff by phone around 3pm. He quickly called me back and gave me an estimate over the phone. He said he could be out at 8am the next day. I found this to work very well because other companies I called had to schedule weeks out. Jeff showed up right on time. They had the stumps ground down in under an hour. By my own admittance, I didn't get other estimates but I thought that $200 was fair for 12 stumps. I would recommend his company to others.

The owner of Castro's Tree Service came out to look over my yard and give me a quote in May 2010, just a few days after I contacted him. Mr. Castro and I decided to wait to do the work until my next bulk trash pickup, which was the week of June 20, 2010. Mr. Castro and his crew showed up early on June 18, 2010, worked quickly and did a wonderful job. Not only was all of the work I commissioned performed beyond my expectations, but Mr. Castro noticed a tree limb that could have fallen on my house and removed it for no extra charge. Additionally, once the work in my front yard was finished, Mr. Castro noticed that my crepe myrtles were looking a little ragged (they weren't part of the original job) and he trimmed them up for no charge as well. Midway through the job I came home and Mr. Castro walked me through the progress he and his crew had made and advised me of what was left to do. The brush was stacked neatly on the curbside for the sanitation department to pick up. I would whole heartedly recommend Castro Tree Service to anyone needing this kind of service (and I have already recommended him to many of my friends).

His team was very quick, very accurate, and preformed beyond expectation. (The only downside of the whole afternoon, was our own failure to have a pool cover over our backyard pool. Since many chainsaws were used, we ended up with an incredible amount of saw dust which fell in the nearby pool; this ended up clogging our pump & filtration system, costing us a $250 repair.)

Their service was great. They charged me $900 for the service. They were quick; I didn?t have to wait very long after I had called them. Also, they were a lot cheaper than everyone else I had talked to. I will use this company again in the future.

They were not tree surgeons by any means. The price was reasonable.

They are wonderful. They were very reasonable. Their price depends on the work they do. They aren?t the cheapest, but they are insured and they are bonded. I was satisfied with their service. I have very tall trees. I could always find somebody, who was cheaper. However, I like them because they are bonded and insured. I have giant water oaks. I was trying to save one of the trees. One giant branch fell on the house. They removed the branch from the house and they did the work very carefully and safely. They didn?t damage the house in the process. I was very happy with them. I have used them successfully for years. I had a tree which was so huge that it took four men to reach around. At one point, I had it removed. It took 5 or 6 of them about 4 days to get it down and remove it. They cleaned up beautifully. They ground the stumps down. It was very expensive at $1300, but I felt like I got a really good deal. I felt like they were honest. I especially like a particular guy?s work in this company. I really like his work. He is very responsive. I called him on a Sunday and he called me back that very night. He came out on Monday and checked everything. As he couldn?t do the work right then, he came out on Tuesday. He came out on time. I will use this company again in the future.

It was such a relief to talk to Jeff Castro. He didn't ask that I get Oncor to come out and remove the wires the tree limbs were over. He took care of everything. He even verified when the bulk trash pickup is in my neighborhood so that I would save on removal costs. He and his team showed up on-time and completed the work in about 5 hours. I was amazed at how quickly it went. Jeff did a fantastic job.

This company is very good. They were professional. They finished the job and even did a good clean up so I did not have to clean up the yard myself.

Great job, didn't damage anything and did an excellent clean up afterwards.
