They did great work, were on time, made sure they got all the limbs and pieces of trunks out in time for the bulk trash pick up. I have no idea if I got a great rate or not, but I wouldn't go with anyone else. They knew what they were doing and that's important. Jeff very easy to work with.

I called last week and he came out the next day and gave me a price. His crew came out on Mon. morning right on time as promised and cut down a huge tree, very neatly stacked it at my curb as promised and had someone come to grind the stump. His guys know what they're doing! This was a HUGE mountain cedar right between 2 houses. They brought down this tree limb by limb. Limbs dropping were very controlled so that both houses were protected and they were cautious about sprinkler heads in the yard, as well. I've had them out before for tree work and probably will be calling again in the future. This is definitely the first tree service company I'd ever call. They know their stuff, work quickly, and prices very competitive.

Jeff and crew did an excellent job. They are very punctual, professional and cleaned up immaculately after job. In trimming limbs over pool, they offered great ideas on which limbs to cut or not cut based on sun coverage. We had party lights strung in trees which they took down and then re-strung after cutting limb. I highly recommend Castro Tree Services for quality and price.

His crew was on time and very professional. Two other tree service companies had higher bids and said they could not grind the stumps due to the location of the trees. Jeff got the job done. Will use again for any future tree work.

A tree fell from my backyard and into my neighbors yard, threatening her storage shed. I called 5 different tree services and Jeff was the only one who was willing to swing by for a quote (the same day!). He spoke with my neighbor while he was at the house and arranged for a time the next day to gain access to her backyard to remove the tree. His team came the next day and my neighbor did not meet them as promised nor answered their calls. They figured out a way to safely remove the large tree without damaging my property or hers. All of this was I was at work. I was grateful for the fast and courteous service and have since used them again for a second fallen tree. Time and again, Jeff has been professional and courteous. I've recommended him a number of times to my friends.

It was a too-good-to-be true series of events. I put the work request online on Angie's site: Jeff called immediately to say he had a crew finishing up in Oak Cliff and was headed my way with a half-loaded trailer: my small job might fill the trailer and, if I agreed to the price estimate, the job could be done and debris hauled away that morning: he had already checked my bulky trash schedule by my zip and knew pick up was two weeks away. I felt $350 was a reasonable price for the big job that had to be done on the pecan tree. The crew carefully lifted all my feeders from poles, carried them out of the way, placed them back on poles when they finished, closed and locked the gate.

The owner (Jeff) responded very promptly to my online request for services. He very quickly came out to the property to look at the overgrowth and then contacted me to discuss what all I wanted accomplished. The amount of work that needed to be done was significant and I was very pleased with his bid. His crew showed up exactly as scheduled on the day and time requested. I walked the property with the crew forman to review what I was wanting to done as his crew unloaded. They immediately set to work and it was very obvious that they worked well together as a team. I was very pleased to see a crew of five on the project. When I returned home that evening I found everything done as requested. The limbs and debris was as neatly stacked as possible considering the massive volume on the parkway. They had done an outstanding job of cleaning up the rest of the property and anything cut was raked up and stacked up for pickup. If your looking for one of the big name companies that shows up in huge shiny trucks with a chipper in tow, this is not your company. They do not have a chipper and your choice is to have the limbs stacked for pickup by the city or pay them to haul it away. If your looking for a good company that provides quality work at a very reasonable price then you will be very happy with Castro Tree Service.

The recent high-winds apparently blew a massive oak tree over that bordered the creek and the corner of my 8' cedar privacy fence, but just snagged a slightly smaller tree on the inside of my yard, preventing the massive tree from falling into my yard and destroying 3 sections of my fence. To give you an idea, the tree was an easy 3 stories tall and was now leaning at a 45 degree angle, with the 3' diameter trunk leaning 1.5 feed from the top of my fence. The smaller tree was on very-limited borrowed time. I called Castro's Tree service immediately, and Jeff came over within 20 minutes to assess the damage. He agreed to send a crew out the next day and remove the tree. Sure enough, a crew arrived the next day, and removed the tree without leaving a scratch on the fence. They were very professional and amazingly fast given the challenge of removing the leaning monster of a tree bridging over my fence without the need for a crane, but with keen experience and expertise. I was amazed when I got home from work and witnessed their handiwork. I have hired Castro in the past and they did excellent work then, and today I am certain they are the absolute best tree removal/trimming service in Dallas. I would recommend them in a heartbeat for any tree removal challenge, no matter how extreme.

I called Jeff on Wednesday and left him a message to ask for an estimate. He messaged me in the afternoon and asked for pictures of the tree I wanted to take down. I sent him the pictures after I got home. He then gave an quote over the phone. I discussed with my husband and the next day we decided to hire them to do the job. Since the bulk trash pick up is this week, Jeff worked around to squeeze our job into his busy schedules. Friday morning his crew came in on time. We checked the sprinkler system before they started to work to make sure they won't damage the sprinklers. Then they worked very hard for 4 hours to take down the entire tree and stump grind it. They also helped me to take down another big shrubs in the side yard. They did a good job in cleaning up as well. Although they are in a hurry for another two smaller jobs in the afternoon, they try to clean up as much as possible for me. The crews are very polite and nice. I would highly recommend them to my friends for the future tree services.

Very well. They were able to work me in at the end of a bigger job on Saturday (I only called a couple days before). It was going to rain that Sunday and so they worked to help me out. And it turned out my brush pickup was the next week. They did a very good job and cleaned up too.

Jeff provided me with an estimate the same day that I first contacted him and was able to quickly work my job into his schedule A 5 man crewed arrived exactly on time. I went over what was needed with Jeff's crew and left for work. Jeff emailed me several hours later to let me know the job was to done and to check in after I returned home and confirm the job was done to my satisfaction. All work was done as requested and all trash was stacked in a two neat piles for curbside pickup. Great job.

This is the second time i have used Mr. Castro's tree service. Very responsive and his crew is easy to talk to and very polite. They clean everything up, leaving the place spotless, unlike other services where I have had to go to my neighbors apologizing for the mess. I would recommend him 100%.

It was a good experience. He contacted me quickly as my brush pick up was that week. He scheduled me in for the next day, sent his crew ou, t and they got the job done before the bulk trash came the next day. He also referred my to a stump grinder as the remaining stump was entangled in a chain link fence. He was very courteous and concerned about getting the job done quickly to accommodate pick up. I will use his services again for tree trimming, etc.

This is the second time I have used their service. The men come dressed in uniform, act professional and show a willingness to please. I will use them again.

Mr. Castro did a great job. I was not at home to see the work done, but he ended up removing enough limbs to make four 7X10X5 piles of branches from trees in the front and side of my property. Before starting the work, he advised me on which trees needed pruning as well as several trees which I thought needed pruning but he said did not. The work was done when I got home and for the first time ever, I'm actually getting sun to the grass in my front lawn and I sleep much better knowing that the chance of a storm downing a large limb over my house is significantly decreased. They had to go over my house to remove some branches and did this with no issue. He even removed some branches on my trees that were over my neighbors house. They did a great job for a great price and even came back when I got home from work to see if the job was to my satisfactions.

Service was great. Prompt results. No nonsense. Would definitely use them again. Had to remove part of a fence. Other providers would have required me to do that part of the job, but Jeff got it done.

I had a great experience with Castro?s Tree Services. I called and left Jeff a message, requesting an estimate, and he returned my call within a couple of hours. He came by the next day (sooner than he initially promised) to provide an estimate. I needed 3 large trees cut down and stumps ground, 3 medium trees cut down and stumps ground, 1 small tree cut down and stump ground, 11 large trees trimmed, and 8 additional stumps ground (3 small and 5 large stumps). The 11 large trees had not been trimmed in 5 years, so they needed it badly. Jeff was able to give me an estimate ($3,000) that same day. We wanted to schedule the tree trimming to coincide with bulky trash pick up week, which was coming up within 2 weeks. Since Jeff had some work scheduled already and the weather was unpredictable, Jeff set a tentative date for me and advised he would keep me informed. He never failed to call or text at least every other day to let me know how his schedule was shaping up. Jeff is able to communicate via text messages, which I found helpful. Since it had rained so much the week prior, Jeff?s crew was willing to work on Sunday, so that?s when they came to trim my trees. When he performed the estimate, Jeff also noted that one of my Red Oak trees was infected with bores or another insect or parasite, so he referred me to Ken of TLC Tree Care in order to get that looked at, which I thought was helpful. I never would have noticed that the tree was sick without Jeff?s feedback. His crew arrived promptly at 9am as promised, and I showed the foreman what work needed to be completed. The crew of 8 got to work immediately. They worked tirelessly and efficiently throughout the day, only taking a short lunch break. His crew did really great work. They trimmed all my trees to my specifications and had no issues getting to the upper reaches of my tallest trees. They raked all the areas where they worked and cleaned up the debris extremely well. They even left my yard looking better than when they found it. (With so many trees that hadn?t been trimmed in 5 years, there were a lot of branches and other tree debris already on the ground when they arrived.) They stacked a mountain of tree trimmings near the street, ready for bulk trash pick up. They had to stack it so high that part of the pile fell into the road, which concerned me, since I live on a very busy road with lots of traffic. I was concerned that someone would hit the material that had fallen into the road and blame me. Without me even having to mention it, Jeff?s crew cleaned it up themselves, put it back on the pile, and made sure the road was clear. I would definitely recommend Castro?s Tree Services. Very fair pricing and great quality work. I will use him again next time my trees need trimming.

Jeff came by and gave me an estimate. For all the work, it was reasonable given I had others also give me some quotes. I picked him due to the high rating on Angie's List and the reasonable quote. He called to schedule the trimming to coincide with Bulk trash pickup week. The day the appointment was scheduled, it was raining, but that didn't matter to his crew. Jeff kept me in the loop letting me know when the crew left to come to my site, and the crew was very good even with the rain. I took them around and let them know what I wanted and they started right away. I would come out every once in a while and they would ask if the height was ok, and if it looked ok before cutting anymore. After they were done, they walked me around, asked if there was anything else, and cleaned up and left. Overall great service and I would use them again. BTW- all of this was in the rain, so I give them more credit for being so good in those conditions.
