Called Mr. Castro on Saturday April 7, 2012 early afternoon when we noticed the tree down. That's right, not only on a Saturday, but it was Easter weekend. Mr. Castro came over early that evening and gave an estimate. On SUNDAY...yes EASTER Sunday. He had his crew over at the exact time he said they would be there. Within one hour the tree was down, both yards cleaned up and all debri was stacked neatly on the curb. I still cannot believe how fast and professional this was done. I would recommend his service to anyone.

We had a very large tree fall that caused damage to corner of our house. We called Jeff Castro, who had done much work for us before. He came promptly and cut up the tree and left the wood in small sections (for fire wood). It was after a recent rain and his truck had left ruts in yard.....which he came back and filled the ruts with soil. He work is always exellent and his price is fair.

I contacted two companies through Angie's list on Thursday about pruning my trees. Jeff responded immediately and asked me to send him a photo of the trees so he could see how much work they needed. I had an estimate by Friday night and we negotiated a price that I thought was very fair. His crew came out on Monday and the whole job was finished before the other company even had a chance to respond to my initial email. I was very happy with how communicative Jeff was through the whole process; he seemed very knowledgeable and eager to please. I will definitely use this company again.

After a day of high winds, we lost a huge section of one of our 70-year-old elm trees, which fell next to our house, over/on our fence and into our back yard. The tree itself had suffered from what I will charmingly label "crotch rot"... i.e., the crotch of the tree had accumulated so much rain water over the years that the tree began to rot, from the inside-out... live tree on the outside at the base, dead on the inside. High winds and rain one day finally did it in. It sounded like an explosion, like the sky was ripping open. I located Jeff's tree service through Angie's List. Jeff came out the same day, just a few hours after I spoke with him on the phone... he was prompt and courteous and gave me a more-than-fair estimate for the work to be done, which would entail first removing the fallen section of elm tree, then cutting down the rest of the gigantic tree, then finally grinding the stump. Castro's Tree Service came out to do the work about four days later, to coincide with our bulky trash pick-up. We've had the unfortunate experience of old elm tree removal before, at our previous residence, and we've worked with three different tree services, prior to Jeff. Without a doubt, Jeff and his guys are the best and the fastest we've had the pleasure to work with. They showed up to work early and got busy. After a few hours, the entire tree, thousands and thousands of pounds of wood, was NEATLY stacked along our easement and the stump grindings had been spread across all our flower beds! Really outstanding work. We can't say enough good things about these guys. And not only would we use them again, a few weeks later, the day of all the tornados in Dallas County, we did use them again. But that's another great review for another time. :)

Jeff and his crew were punctual, professional, did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. Best of all, Jeff did an excellent job of reassuring a very nervous homeowner about removing a dead tree that was in danger of falling onto the house. I would highly recommend Castro's Tree Service, for price, quality of service, and professionalism in getting a difficult job done! Bravo!

Jeff and his crew did an outstanding job. They arrived on time, went right to work, and were finished in about 3 hours, They raked the yeard when they were finished. They also spread some of the wood chips from the stump grinding in my flower beds next to the house. I got 4 quotes for this job. Jeff not only had the best price, he was the only one that would demolish the planters around the trees abd haul away. He was also the only one that could do the job within a couple of days after I got his quote. The others wanted two to four weeks before they could do the job. I am very pleased with the job Castro's Tree Services did and would highly recommend them.

Again, Jeff and crew did an outstanding job in shaping the trees and trimming / cleaning them out. Both times the crew did a great job in cleaning up the yard afterward. He has hit 2 homeruns with me and I will use him in the future!

Called Jeff for an appraisal. He was able to come by a day earlier than expected. Once we decided to use them (best deal) on a Thursday, they came to perform the work the next Monday. He called on Sunday (concerned about looming weather) and then communicated closely, working to get everything done before the weather front arrived. I was really impressed with his responsiveness, professionalism, complete work, pleasant crew and concern for our yard. They did a great job cleaning up too! I will higher Jeff Castro when we need tree service again!

Jeff's crew arrived on time and worked until the job was done. The quality of the work was excellent -- they did a great job.

Jeff said they would be at my house at 8:30 to start working and they were. The cut down some branches, removed all of the small branches all the way to the top of the tree. They cleaned my yard up better than it was before they started. I have had my trees trimmed before and have seen other trees in the neighborhood after trimming, and this is the best job I have ever seen.They literaly were at the top of my trees and the very end of the branches. Excellent job!!

We knew that the overhanging limbs above our room was a very big problem and we wanted the tree down before the Spring storms or we would be looking at considerable damage to our house. Not only that, the tree was in-between our phone and power lines and our neighbors phone and power lines and was very close to the houses of the two properties. The possibility of expensive damage made the job very difficult. We had bids anywhere up to a laughable $6,700 involving large cranes blocking the street, city permits and insurance problems for an all day affair . Castro's provided an insurance policy and a guarantee along with a reasonable price. They were on time and did a very professional job. We have hired them to take down more trees this month.

Jeff Castro, the owner, called me the day after I sent an email requesting his service. He came by and saw the tree, and provided an estimate within 2 days. I have a friend who works in the landscaping business and he provided a company for me to get another estimate. Castro's estimate was slightly lower. While we were not ready to have the tree removed due to out-of-town travel, when I called him back a couple of months later, he made time to get to our job and honored the bid he had provided previously. Jeff scheduled the job within a week and showed up on time to complete the work. His team was quick, did a fantastic job, and the cleanup was immaculate. I could not have asked for a better job. I would generally use a certified arborist for tree work, but this was removal and the expertise of an arborist was not necessary. I would absolutely recommend them and would use them again.

i needed 2 tree stumps removed, jeff came by called me with an estimate of 150.00 for removal of both.I felt that was a very fair price and agreed to have the job done. since the rains were coming in , he told me that as soon as it dried out a bit he would call me call me with an exact date and time, which he did. I had agreed that i would haul off the stumps myself, everything went smoothly and i was very satisfied with the job, and had him give me estimates for a large tree removal in the future

Jeff Castro gave a very competitive bid and was professional and very prompt in his service. They completed the work on two different days. The first day, they cut off all the limbs from the tree. They came back another day and brought the tree down and ground the stump down. Jeff was very conscientious not to damage any thing and they even had to work around electrical lines. They also cleaned up the yard very well after they were done. I was extremely pleased with the work they performed and after they left, you couldn't even tell a tree had been there. I will most definitely use Jeff Castro's service again in the future and will recommend him to all my friends and neighbors.

They arrived on time and did their job as contracted. One tree hung over the Garage and they took great care to not damage anything. They ground down the stumps and removed all runner roots. We are installing a Driveway where the tree's were and they painstakingly ground down all that was necessary. They cleaned up and Jeff made sure that all went well. I am an A rated company on Angie's List in the Concrete business and I know good service and quality of work when given. He also trimmed a huge red Oak at my home and did a great job there also. I would recommend Jeff to anyone needing tree's removed or trimmed.

I originally called another top ranked company on Angie's list to get a quote to take down a large dying maple tree in my front yard and grind the stump. After getting a quote I felt was extremely high I decided to get some competing quotes. I decided to go with Jeff because he gave me a reasonable price from the start and I didn't get the felling he was trying to start high and negotiate down to get the most money he could from me, like the other two companies. Jeff came when he said he would and called me 30 minutes before he finished like he promised so I could meet him, inspect his work, and pay him. I was surprised that he got it done so quickly, he took about three hours (the company with the ridiculously high price said it would take all day). I was even more please to discover that not only had he taken down the tree and ground the stump, but he also cleaned the gutters, cleaned up the leaves in my yard, and used the ground stump as mulch in places that needed it. I highly recommend Jeff & Castro's Tree Service. I could tell he understands what it means to earn someone's business and I plan to call him 1st the next time I need someone to take care of the trees on my property.

Called Castro Tree service for an estimate to trim cedar tree in backyard that hadn't been trimmed in yrs. Jeff responded promptly came out an provided estimate on tree trimming and on some bushes that needed trimming and to haul away debris. We agreed on price and he said he could do the work the next day. Jeff and crew arrived at appointed time (0845) and started immediately. Jeff and crew were professional and respectful, they hauled off all tree debris and cleaned up with blowers and raked. They even removed a stump that needed removing at no extra charge. Jeff gave information on what he was trimming on the tree and why, he cleaned up many broken branches that could not be seen. Tree is approx. 20 ft high (give or take) so the branches were high up. Tree looks ten times better than before and opened up the whole backyard, wish i had taken before and after pics. Jeff shaped the tree beautifully and i love it!

He quickly responded to my request for a proposal. His company did a great job. Prompt. Thorough. Complete. Easy to work with. I will definitely use them again.

The job went very well. Jeff Castro called me throughout the day with progress updates, since I was unable to be there. They were careful to move my patio furniture in case of a mishap, which there were none. They cleaned up so well, you could not tell they had been there, except for the brush piled near the curb. They piled the brush neatly in the appropriate place for bulk trash pickup and cleaned up very well around the tree. They had to work around electric lines and had no mishaps. Next month they will remove the tree and grind the stump. I will definitely use Castro in the future and will recommend him to all my friends.

Normally, an estimate with a high and low range ends up at the high end. In this case, the actual cost was at the lower end so I was impressed by that. The medium to large tree was removed completely. There was no damage to my fence or my neighbor's property. They were cleaned up the job site entirely. Couldn't even tell work had been done. I was very impressed and highly recommend them.

Great experience. Jeff Castro gave me an estimate which was way more than fair considering the amount of work to be done. He and his four men crew showed up on time and did the work impeccably. Not only that, but they volunteered to clean out the debris which had been previously left from a fallen tree AND trim a crepe myrtle which limbs were threatening the integrity of the roof AT NO CHARGE. These guys were absolutely awesome!!! Kudos! I recommend them 100%.

I called Jeff and let him know I needed a Loblolly pine removed. It was almost dead and I did not want it falling. He let me know that he could come to give an estimate that afternoon. Jeff quoted me a price that was Awesome $350.00. I got 2 other quote that were almost double the price. We made the date to remove the tree for the next morning. Jeff arrived as promised with a experienced crew that handled the removed with precision and cleaned up well afterward. I'm tickled to death to have found him. Castro Tree Service is my go to team from now on. I have lived in homes with big trees for the past 30 years and wish I had found him earlier.

I contacted several services here on Angie's list and several said that it was too far for them to travel or that they would not just come out to do stump grinding. Also, I contacted these folk via email and requested an email reply. Several insisted that I call and they refused to contact me via email or give me any idea of their charges. Jeff replied promptly via email and then via text. It is difficult for me to arrange things during the day via phone due to my job. I was grateful for him taking care of most of the arrangements via text and email. I was able to send him pictures of the stumps and he gave me an estimate. After i had investigated renting a stump grinder and doing the job myself, it seemed like a fair estimate and saved me a lot of time and effort. He worked me into his schedule and then showed up when he said he would. He did a very nice job of grinding the stumps and then he took the time to fill in the hole with the saw dust and surrounding soil. He then advised me on how to fill the hole in after it settles and gave me an estimate for future work that I do need done on the existing trees in my yard. I never got to meet Jeff as everything was done via phone and I dropped a check off to him during my lunch. I recommend him and will use his service to shape up the remaining trees at my home.
