Castro's Tree Services

I called on Monday and Mr. Castro was out that day to do a walk thru. Five men were there the next day at 8:15 a.m. and they worked quickly and professionally. They completed all the work in two hours and had all the debris cut down and out front in time for the monthly city pickup. They did everything that I asked them to do and did not have to tell them twice. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend them to others.

The five member crew arrived at around 8 AM and worked steadily through the day, taking only a brief lunch. The team did a nice job of cleaning up and stacking the limbs in the appropriate place for bulk pick-up. Jeff Castro, the owner of the business, dropped by several times during the day to touch base. He followed up to make sure that we were pleased with the work. This was a great experience with the work professionally done and reasonably priced.

Service was good, they were very professional and took all debris with them - kind of pricey but were highly rated on your list.

Nicely dressed individuals and the main person spoke English. Did not litter the yard or smoke. Cleaned up the yard meticulously.

Upon initial contact I left a message and he promptly returned my call. Once he inspected what we wanted done, he gave me a price and told me when his crew would arrive. They arrived at the agreed time and promptly went to work. He sent 4 men to complete the job which was done very efficiently. After the trees were trimmed, they wasted no time in cleaning up the brush from the yard. Since I indicated that the city would haul the branches, they neatly stacked them along the street. I am very impressed with the job done and the manner in which his crew performed. Castro's Tree Service certainly gets my recommendation.

Jeff came by the day we called and gave a quote. He also made a few excellent suggestions about trees under electrical wires that he thought should be cut down. He followed up with us and was able to get us on the books and his team came a week later and were efficient and when they left our yard and roof was free from debris. I thought they did an excellent job with fair prices and will be using them again when we need our trees trimmed!

Great service. Had a dead very large tree in a spot with limited access. Mr Castro went out of his way to accomidate me due to time constraints. Crew came on time, I had to leave due to a previous appt. When I came back the job was done and the crew had cleaned up the area spotless. Highly recommended

I am not only pleased, I am seriously Impressed! I just chose him using Angie's List. He was booked solid when I initially called, I told him I really wanted it done fast, he moved around his schedule to fit me in exactly when I was hoping to have the work done. I had called several people previously and he gave me a great price right away I didn't even have to negotiate. It was exactly what I expected to pay and an excellent price for the work. That's not what made him so amazing though, I had a branch in the way and was planning on removing it on my own in a day or two. His men saw the unsightly branch and removed for me at no additional cost. They said it was right where they were working and just wanted to help out since it was no trouble. I've dealt with a TON of contractors as I use to be home builder and I can honestly say He was perhaps the most professional and trustworthy guy I have come across. Not only would I recommend him, I asked his guys about another job I was planning on having done and they gave me another great quote so I will DEFINATELY be calling him again. I can not express my gratitude and happiness in dealing with this company enough. ABSOLUTELY TOP NOTCH!! I'll never doubt Angie's List again, this guy really has deserved all the good reviews he has received. He was Fantastic!

I was very happy with this provider and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Jeff returned my call quickly and at my request was able to set up service for the soonest date corresponding to our bulky trash pickup week. The crew that came out was professional, fast, and tidy. They did just what I asked and the trees looked great when they left. One of the crew members was even nice enough to change an outdoor bulb for me that I would never have been able to reach otherwise. The icing on the cake is that their quote came in lower than other services. Give them a call!

Excellent work by Jeff and the crew. They are experienced and skilled, the work was done quickly and throughly. The clean up was exceptional, it seemed like every last leaf was cleaned up. Highly recommend them and will certainly use them again.

Jeff Castros's crew did a great job cutting and removing the trees without damaging our flowers and plants directly underneath them. They obviously knew what they were doing. They worked very efficiently and professionally. I would definitely use them again if needed. Highly recommend their services.

The entire experience went very well from my first call to completion of the job. I called Castro Tree Services about two weeks ago and spoke with Jeff Castro. I described my situation and based upon my description, Jeff gave me a rough estimate on the phone for the services and told me roughly when it could be done. I told him that I wanted to move forward with having him perform the services and he said that he would come by my house to look at my tree. He did come by a couple of days later and after seeing my Magnolia tree, he said that his original estimate was the price that he would do the work. He and I also went around my property and identified some trees that needed some trimming. When Jeff left, he said that he expected to be able to do the job in just over a week later, subject to weather complications. Early in the week of May 13, he called me and said that he was planning to have his crew do the work on Tuesday, May 21. He also called me on the evening of May 20 to confirm the appointment and mention that predicted rain might delay the service. Even though rain threatened the next day May 21, it had not started in the morning and Jeff's crew of 4 men arrived with their truck, trailer and equipment at exactly at the 8:45 a.m. appointment time. All four men wore uniforms identifying them as Castro Tree Services employees. I spoke with the foreman of the crew who speaks very good English and confirmed the services that were to be done. After that, the crew began the process of cutting down and removing the large diseased Magnolia tree and trimming the other trees as agreed upon. During this process, all of the crew seemed to know what to do and when to do it. All worked diligently and there was no one just standing around. The entire process took about 4 hours. After the work was completed, the crew did a good job of cleaning up my yard and rooftop. I am very pleased with the work and the people of Castro Tree Services. Highly recommended.

Jeff Castro and his crew must stay pretty busy! He answered my first call and scheduled a time to come out and take a look. Since it was a fairly small job, his crew worked it in to their schedule about a week later. A crew of 3 (or 4?) guys came, climbed up into the tree and removed a lot of small nuisance growth as well as some fairly sizable branches. I am amazed at how well they clean up afterwards. All the branches were gone - you'd never know they were there! I also had them haul away the branches. I used Castro last year to cut down two large trees. Same crew this year-they even remembered our yard! I am very pleased with their work and prices and will call them again in the future - those trees just keep growing!

I am a loyal fan. I have used this company 4 times now....and referred them to most all of my friends with trees! They are excellent.

I called Castro's in the morning. Jeff called back within an hour and came by that afternoon to give me an estimate. He said he might be able to do the work the next morning and would let me know. Jeff called later that afternoon and said he could have a crew here at 9:00 the next morning. The crew actually arrived a few minutes early. The foreman walked around the property with me and reviewed what they would be doing. He said it should take about two hours. The crew got right to work. The crew loaded all the downed limbs and were very meticulous with the clean up. They even used leaf blowers to get any leaves or twigs that could have been left behind. Actually, the yard was cleaner after they left than it was when they got here! Once they were done (almost exactly two hours), the foreman checked in with me to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Within an hour Jeff called back to make sure everything had been done to my satisfaction and to make sure I was pleased with the work. I found the whole experience--from getting a quote to the follow-up call--to be top rate service. I will definitely hire Castro's Tree Service again when our trees need trimming in the future. A+ service all the way around!

I called on Monday; onsite visit scheduled for Tuesday, and performed work exactly how discussed on Thursday. Price was significantly less than other bids. Absolutely will use Castro's Tree Service again.

Great service, great price... I got bids from 3 other tree service companies and some were as high as double. Jeff and the crew arrived on time, took less time than what he had promised. Was careful not to damage the roof the tree was over nor the fence. It was a huge Bradford Pear that had gotten hit by lightning last year. I would definitely use them again and would gladly recommend them.

Castro was the second company I called. The first company gave me a quote for $1300, which seemed high, so I decided to get another. Spoke to Jeff from Castro and he asked that I send him some pictures, which I did. Based on the pictures he quoted me $1000 but said he would need to see it in person. He cam the next day at the scheduled time. When he saw how much of the tree was hanging directly over the house he implied that it would normally cost more than he quoted but that he would honor the initial quote. He checked to see when our bulk trash day was and it turned out to be that same week so he asked if he could move the tree to the sidewalk to be picked up by the city instead of hauling it away, which was fine with us. The next day his crew arrived before the scheduled time and the entire job was completed within a couple of hours. Everything was cleaned up nicely and no damage to the house. Jeff is an honest, nice guy who seems to take pride in providing excellent service to his customers. We will definitely be calling him for all future tree work.

The estimate, date/time of arrival and quality of work were performed as expected.

I'm having a lot of work done and Jeff and his team are busy, so they squeezed the most important work (tree removal) in right away. The rest of the tree trimming is happening about 2 weeks later.

Jeff visited the site and gave me an estimate the day after I called to request one. He worked with me to arrange a service date that met my schedule and requirements. He and his men arrived on time and completed the work just as I requested. I could not have asked for a better experience. I was truly dreading the entire experience, but he made it painless.

Jeff was very responsive and willing to work with me on the price. They did a good job cutting down our sick Live Oak without damaging the grass or driveway beneath. They also trimmed our Red Oak that needed some serious work and they did a great job. His crew of four guys were efficient and left our yard incredibly clean and clear of debris. I would recommend this company and use them again.
