Foundation Repair
He was very honest, helpful and professional. He was not put out at all to come out and inspect and seemed happy for us that we didn't have a problem. This is a company you can trust and Tony is a great representative.

Foundation Repair
They came on day one and dug the holes and poured the concrete. The men were very courteous. I was worried about the ones digging, as it is all dug by hand and it was roasting hot outside. I was not there when they finished for the day, but when I arrived home, I noticed PVC pipe in our yard from the sprinkling system. I called Amber (she rocks!), and she sent someone over that day to repair the pipe. It is normal for them to have to cut through the PVC, but I wasn't aware of that and they were not able to discuss what they did that day since I wasn't there at the completion. The following week, they sent another crew that did the lifting. This method is the most gentle on your house on the lift, as it only lifts once - - unlike the concrete pilings that use the weight of your home to pound the pilings in, so apparently the house goes up and down several times. I can't even imagine using that approach, as it sounds pretty scary when the lift actually occurs (popping, cracking noises). Noe, the lift supervisor, (really nice and great at explaining the process) came in several times to do measurements. He always took his shoes off so as not to track in dirt in the house. The great news is, they were able to close the expansion joint perfectly, and the ceiling crack closed significantly. So far, we don't have any additional cracks in the house. We did have quite a bit of cracking/large gaps in the mortar, especially at our entry arch where it is mostly cosmetic rather than structural. They have suggested waiting 90 days before we do any fixes. The lack of mortar looks pretty bad, so I don't know if I will be patient enough to wait that long :o). A plumbing assessment was completed the following day, and everything checked out fine. I'm pretty high maintenance in terms of wanting to know what is going on/when things will be done/what to expect, and Amber was awesome at answering all of my questions/calls/concerns (did I mention that she rocks!).
Another thing that impressed me about Brown was that most of the work crew that I interacted with had 15-20+ years of experience with Brown. That says alot about the company. As far as price, I can think of a lot more fun ways to spend $5,000 than lifting the foundation, but that being said, they were in the ballpark of the other estimates. Brown was a little more expensive per pier, but I felt like this is a better solution. Even though everyone has a lifetime warranty, it's a pain to have the work done, so their solution felt like I'll be less likely to need the warranty.
I've already recommended Brown to a friend of mine. The inspector measured and said that they didn't need to have work done, so she was also impressed with their honesty.
I'm anxious to see how it fares in 90 days, but they indicated that if we see anything concerning, they will come back out and remeasure/fix if needed.

They have been in business for quite a while. I had 4 other estimates and I would use this company as soon as I can round up some financing. They seemed to be more thorough than the other companies who came out to give an estimate. They didn't try to push anything on me. Out of the 4 companies who came out, only 2 companies including Brown Foundation Repair bothered to go under the house to look.

Foundation Repair
They were able to bring up the back half of the house about 2 inches and raise a sinking mantle/hearth area by about 4 inches. Also, the cost of the work was almost exactly the same as another estimate I got, so I was comfortable that it was fair. Work was completed in 1 day as promised. The person I dealt with was very responsive, professional, and helpful.

Foundation Repair
We noticed cracks in our walls above door frames and called Brown Foundation Repair to assess the situation. Tony measured the house and indicated we were less than 1/4" off in one spot. In his eyes, there was really nothing they should do. The situation did not call for any action to be taken given the age of the house (built in 1958) and the measurements taken. He mentioned if they did try to level it they could potentially cause more issues and that it just didn't make sense to try and address it, just continue to monitor as we are today.
The results from Brown contradicted what we heard from All-Pro who tried to sell us $2500-3000 worth of work to level the house. I have a friend who recently went through bidding out foundation work with several foundation companies and he found All-Pro was the only one who recommended putting in new piers (slab foundation). Now they have $7500 worth of plumbing leaks in their slab.
Thank you, Tony, for being honest with us, not trying to find something to sell us. That goes a very long way in my book, and I have been more than happy to tell friends and family about the experience.

I was very pleased with Brown Foundaton work. Mr.Wormington found cracks in places the other companies missed. I had a very good experience with this company. The workers placed the soil around other parts of the foundation that did not have work done. They sent their plumber after the work was completed to make sure there was no leaks. Just a good experience.

Foundation Repair, Concrete Leveling
Overall, very well. Our point of contact was very responsive and professional. The crews were smart, approachable, hard working and kept a clean work environment. My only criticism is that Brown sub'd out the plumbing test to Olshan, which got in over its head on a clean out installation of a 3-inch cast iron pipe in the plumbing system of my 1962 house. Ultimately, I went with another plumber to do the repair, but Brown was understanding and apologetic about the deal. Browjn paid for the clean-out installation, and did everything they could do get Oslshan to repair the pipe, but I came out a little bit to get a better plumber out there to do the pipe repair. Overall, I'd recommend Brown in a heartbeat. Lifetime, transferable warranty; reasonable price; and a great job! Only caution would be to have a good, trusted plumber in your back pocket in case Brown's plumbing sub gets sketch on you.

They were a bit high on the quote, about $800, so I chose another provider.

They did fine. I really have no way of knowing that the work was ok. They offer a lifetime guarantee though.

Foundation Repair
My house is pier & beam going through a transition from winter to summer. In my part of the country, we have wet springs with clay soil. The foundation did not need to be raised but one corner need to be lowered. Water run-off on one side of the house was causing the foundation to be a little higher. For a company that is in the buisness of leveling foundations, I thought that was remarkable for an esitmator to be forthright and say that the house didn't need to be raised but needed to settle and the foundation dry out ... I will follow-up with them again and if the foundation does need work, Brown has my business.

Lee, from Brown Foundation came out and examined the foundation. He was prompt, on time, professional and did a thorough inspection. As a result he advised that I did not have a problem that warranted putting in a pier.or any work at this time There was not charge for the inspection. I will certainly call them again if I need any foundation work

Foundation Repair
On the Friday before the work was scheduled to begin, I got a call from Kristie confirming the date. On Monday morning, the first crew arrived at 8:00am to begin digging. The crew chief walked with me around the house explaining what they were going to do. I tried to stay out of their way most of the time, but when I did go out to check on the work he showed me their progress and answered my questions. It was in August and one of our 100-degree days so a little after 4:00pm he told me that they were going to knock off for the day and come back the next day to finish. They arrived Tuesday at 8:00 and began work immediately. They finished the drilling, installed the rebar and poured the concrete. They were finished shortly after 11:00am. and told me that another crew would be out the next Monday for the finishing work. Again, I got a call from Kristie on Friday afternoon. The new crew arrived at 8:00am the following Monday morning. Again, the crew chief explained what they were going to do. We walked with me through the house and I showed him the doors that I was having trouble with and the cracks in the wall and the bathroom floor. They placed the jacks at the piers and jacked up the house. During the process, the crew chief came in to measure the floors until they were level, the doors closed properly and the cracks visibly closed. They then custom built the pier caps and finally replaced the dirt and cleaned up the yard. I was very pleased with the work and would recommend this company.

They had to come back several times. They always came back to try to right the problem. They finally got it right, but they had to come back many times.

Drain Pipe Installation
They were very professional when they came to do the estimate. They said we had a minor problem and if we took care of it now, it would prevent it from becoming a major problem down the road. This is a common problem in our area of Dallas. They gave us a very competitive estimate and told us what to expect and recommended the French drain on one side of our house. We compared them with a couple of other providers and then scheduled the work and got it done in a day.

Brown Foundation Repair was excellent for me. I had a very old house and foundation that needed repair. I called a differnet company that did not do work on my type of foundation. This company recommended Brown Foundation Repair and they did a great job. They did the entire job in two full days. Their cusomter service was great. They arrived on time and also had a very accurate price estimation. Everything I had done was worth the money.

They were able to commence the work 3 weeks after the estimate was given. Another firm had said they wouldn't be able to start for 6 weeks and their estimate was higher. They had to push the scheduled work back a day because of weather. The work was to have taken 2 days, but they sent out 2 teams and they finished in 1 day. They saved the monkey grass bed where the drainage line was dug & replanted the bed when they finished. They hauled off all excess dirt & said that if in the future settling made more soil needed, they would bring me some. They cleaned up all debris and washed off areas where dirt had been dropped. There was some very minor damage to some vinyl siding where they attached a connection to the drainage system at a down spout. The teams worked hard during the whole process and were very professional.

Foundation Repair
They sent out a person to give the estimate. Foundation repair had been done in 1990 by Alliance and completely destroyed it. These people had to re-do the job. They are employed by Brown and 'tinkle' tested-they were very respectful when it came to coming in the house; they put booties on. We had to have a plumbing company come out to make a repair on two holes. They even came out on Saturday to fill holes. They stayed on task and completed it. They were on the money. They had to initially pull out some shrubs and they even asked if we wanted them put back-we declined but it was nice of anyway. They even brought their own microwave and plugged it in outside! They wouldn't come in to warm their food.
