Borchardt's Gas grill Repair & Cleaning

We called Borchardt's Gas Grill Repair to give our grill a throughout cleaning.  He called me back the same day, and we were able to schedule a time on my regular day off.  He arrived on time, and as he was cleaning, he noticed a break in the hose.  This would explain the other problem we had had with the grill.  He replaced the part at a reasonable price.  He is very professional and his work is top-notch.  So glad we found him through Angie's List!

Our built in grill was not igniting properly, combined with burner sketchy performance.   They responded promptly to my call to assess problem.  Much to our surprise, all it needed was a good cleaning and some screws tightened.  No replacement parts were required.  That spoke volumes to us about the honesty and integrity of this company.  We will definitely continue to use and recommend them.

I was not home but was told that he was detail oriented in testing and fixing the problem. Had a problem when trying to use it the first time after repair, but received a callback quickly and was able to walk me through getting the grill to work.

I spoke over the phone about the fact that I had no idea what the problem was. The owner was very professional. Since I work and the grill is in the front part of the house, I asked if he could come and email me the invoice. He did so. The invoice was thorough.  I was very pleased with the service. I would definitely use the company again.

Service was pretty quickly arranged.  Borchardt's cleaned the grill, found the problem and had it working again within an hour or so and at a reasonable price.  I would use them again.

He called me back a couple of days after I called him and came in about 2 weeks.  He arrived early for his appointment and looked over the grill and repaired the controls.  He had to order the other parts and then he came today to install them.  He wouldn't take any money until the job was completed.  A very fair price.  Would definitely  use him again.,

The grill would not cook or heat evenly.  The burners were fine and clean.  He took his time trying to figure out a solution and deemed a different size hose may work for the gas flow.  It seemed to do the trick.
I would use him again as he seemed very knowledgeable.

Entire grill, side burner and rotisserie is fixed!

I needed an old gas barbecue grill removed from my patio. The grill is on a post set into the patio slab, so the post must be cut out or excavated out, the old gas line sealed, and the concrete restored. I contacted Borchardt's to do the work, and Mr. Borchardt came to my house at the exact date and time agreed on. However, it was immediately evident that I had not made clear the nature of the work: Mr. Borchardt had understood the gas grill post to be set in a concrete footpad planted in soil, and thought that the grill could be removed with only a shovel. When he saw that the job was much more extensive, he readily said that he was the wrong professional for the job, and recommended to me a company that could do it. I was impressed not only with Mr. Borchardt's punctuality and ease of communicating, but his candor and professionalism. Although he didn't do the work I needed, he pointed me in the right direction to get it done, at no charge. These are qualities that let me recommend him with no hesitation.

I contacted Jonathan & made an appointment for him to come out.  The outdoor gas grill at our house is about 10 years old & had been installed by the previous owner.  The post had not been set in concrete, but only covered with some concrete, so it had tilted until it was leaning against the house.  Also, the grating holding the "charcoal" rocks was almost in pieces, so it needed replacing.
Jonathan arrived a few minutes early and promptly started working on the problem.  He noticed that there was a kink in the brass line running from the gas line into the grill, and replaced it with a flexible line.  After letting the concrete set for a day, I was able to re-fill in the dirt around the post.  The grill is nice, upright, & should last a long time now!

I was very impressed and I would definitely use Borchardt's Gas Grill Repair again.  Very responsive and arrived early for appointment. Also cleaned grill and provided great maintenance tips for future.

Background:  Early last summer (2012) while grilling, we noticed that flames were not coming out of the jets on the burners and were instead coming out of the base of the burner.  This was heating up the front panel and the smell of plastic was in the air.  A weak attempt to get the grill repaired didn't yield results and it sat dormant for the year.  This year we swore to get it back in use.  Enter Jonathan.  After we failed to engage another highly reviewed Angie's List service provider, we turned to Jonathan.  So glad we did!!  I called him and reached his voicemail on which I left a message.  Not even 20 minutes went by before he returned my call.  I explained our situation and he responded "No problem."  He schedule us for his first opening inside 2 weeks and when the day came he called ahead and arrived early.  He proceeded to dismantle, clear all the clogs, clean, reassemble and check out the grill.  It looks great and works great now.  Bring on the ribs!  Jonathan is great guy and I would highly recommend him to others.  Great value!

Jonathan came on time and completed the work even though there were a couple of twists and turns related to the old grill.  He is very courteous and helpful - goes the extra yard to be helpful.
