"ASP is a service company. We pay for parts a lot of times the same price as you can get on line. We have to drive to go get the part, stand in line to receive the part, drive back to install the part. We are a convenience to the customers that don't want to mess with doing any of that. The problem with ordering parts on line is sometimes those part are not what they claim. If the part comes in and doesn't fix the problem then you have to deal with an online company in trying to resolve the issue. Which can be very frustrating. By havin ASP take the problem from start to finish is we will back up our work. If the part doesn't work or quits working in the warranty time frame ASp will respond quickly to resolve it. We are in your corner. If your part you order stops working, than you mist hire someone to come out and trouble shoot it again and then you must deal with who you bought it from. They will normally say it's the installer fault, the installer will say it's the manufactures fault and you are stuck in the middle. The best solution is to have ASP troubleshoot it, fix it, and warranty it. Thank you for allowing ASP to help you with your issue."

"I'm sorry this customer feels he was overcharged. I thought we agreed upon the price before we came out and did the work. We replaced the main drain covers in his pool. The price included the cost for 2 main drain covers, tax, and the labor for sending a diver with full scuba gear to replace the covers. The old ones were stripped out and had to be drilled out for the new ones. Any time you work underwater and with safety issues the price increases. If there was a misunderstanding on the price quoted and the price given we will make it right. ASP has been doing business in Dallas over 23 yrs and our reputation is very important to us. Just read the majority of reviews and you will see that. It affects us deeply when one of our customers is not completely happy with the service they have received."
"ASP has 3 residential appliance installer licensees on staff. This license is required by the State Of Texas for anyone to be working on electrical for a pool or spa. Not all companies have this license. Before any work is done on your pool always ask for their license number, then run it with the Texas dept of Licenses and regulations just to be sure all is in order. Just having anyone do your electrical work can end up costing you a lot more than you anticipated. Be safe and ALWAYS check for proper licenses."

Make sure whoever you hire to work on your electrical on your expensive pool equipment that they hold the Residental Appliance Installers Electric License. "Thank you so much, it truly was enjoyable working for the two of you. This transformation turned out beautiful. We built an outdoor kitchen, also a water feature, removed the pavers that were the old pool deck and did a beautiful stamped concrete. We laid down an overlay of the existing patio deck that looked like wood. The two decks complemented each other nicely. The retaining walls with the natural lueder stone caps and the stone ledger veneer blended nicely with the steps and the coping. Beautiful tile along with crystal stone surface for the pool. From start to finish in less than a month. The final walk thru the same day all the family flew into town. It was timed perfect. Thank you so much for allowing ASP and myself to serve you."

"I'm sorry this customer feels this way. I(Darren) did go out and meet this couple, very nice people. Recently purchased the house on short sale(AS IS). The house needed a lot of work. The pool was in horrible condition, the decking had sunk down around the pool. The water level was at the return fittings indicating a possible broken return fitting( not uncommon due to the deck dropping at least 4") Water was swamp green with probably a lot of debris in the bottom due to the amount of trees and the neglect. My price was bundled in the estimate. I could eat the cost of cleaning it if we could get the entire project, but to only charge $350 to have2 guys, pump,Powerwasher, trash bags, all day if not longer could not be done if that was their only work. We normally charge $1500 to bring it back to swimmable condition if the pool is in this condition. Since we were not doing a filter clean, starting the equipment, or adding chemicals after we got it cleaned up was a fair price at $900. ASP is a complete company, we have been in business 22+ yrs in Dallas, I know the kind of work and finished product we turn out. If something goes wrong we are here to address it. We have weekly training, we have 3 licensed repair technicians on staff, we do background checks on all our employees as well as random drug screening. It is very important to ASP who we have in your back yard, and we know it is very important to you. We carry Workman's Compensation insurance on all our employees, we carry all and more than is required insurance, we have clearly marked vehicles, our employees wear uniforms. We are a truly professional company and don't even try to compete price wise with companys that don't adhere to our high standards. Our prices are not for everyone. But it is to those who desire a competitive price, professional company, excellent finished product, smooth transaction during the entire project, and able to reach the project manager(me) with only a phone call. Our green to clean consists of a pool that has turned green from a couple of weeks or so of no attention. We charge $98 hr to add chemicals, brush, vacuum, filter clean and get the pool running again. This is considered a drain to clean. Big difference. We never do a bait and switch as this customer suggested. This is their first pool and the shock of what a pool actually costs can be alarming when it is in this kind of condition. I'm sorry we couldn't help her."

When I first replied to [members name] call, I clearly did not pick up on her sense of urgency on the issues with the pool and could not answer the specific nature of her questions about the condition of the pool and the Polaris. I did learn of the issues and had what I would characterize as a nice conversation with [members name] the next day and thought I was on my way to both taking care of the pool situation and repairing ASP's relationship with [members name]. Obviously I was wrong. I apologize to [members name] about her experience with ASP. Darren Kesler came to give me an estimate. I really was uneducated about what was required in pool renovations. He helped me realize what had to be done, educated me, and told me I needed to get other estimates to reassure me that what he was telling me was true. He was willing to meet my son-in-law here and discuss with him what was needed and the best way to do it. I had four other estimates. Some were cheaper. Some were more expensive.....In the long run, it evened out in the end. I was convinced ASP was the company I wanted to use. It was worth more to have someone I trusted.
They were all hard workers, working all day until their job was done. They were professional, very gracious to me, willing to explain things to me (even more than once), and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day!
I highly recommend ASP if you need a large or small renovation. Darren is a jewel and kept track of what was needed. I was able to call him for immediate questions. He returned my calls and saw to my concerns or needs.
The renovations had to be done...but now we have a "new" pool to enjoy for years come. Thank you, ASP.
"Thank you for the kind words. This customer had another company doing crack repair in the $4000 range. I was called to give pricing on plaster. When arriving I thought it strange that the crack repair guys wouldn't also be doing the plaster. I examined the work they were doing at the time and realized it wasn't needed. After speaking with their boss, the guys rolled up their tools and left at no charge to the customer. I instructed that she get her grown children involved in this decision on the pool project and suggested she get several bids. I didn't want the impression I ran the other company off to only get the job, after speaking with several more companies. ASP got the job. It was a delight doing this job and even received lunch on a couple occasions. Thank you for choosing ASP"
