A-1 FITNESS EQUIPMENT

We hired A1 fitness to disassemble and move our workout equipment. They damaged our hardwood floors, said they would fix them, and now won't respond. On July 27th, A1 Fitness came to our house to disassemble our workout equipment and move down the hallway while repairs from water damage were made to the exercise room. The guys showed up and were very nice. After completing the job, one of the guys said he wanted to be honest and show me the damage to the hardwood floors. There are gauges and streaks all the way down our hallway. Upon signing the contract at the end of the job, giving my consent the job was complete, I noted the hardwood floors were damaged and wanted them repaired. I spoke with Allen at A1 Fitness that day, and he said he would "arrange for guys to take care of the floors" the following Saturday when the guys came back to our house to reassemble the workout equipment. The following Sat., the guys did come back but no one was there for the flooring. Our house is new construction, with $10,000+ in hardwood floors. We had one contractor come and look at the floors. As he said, "I don't mean to throw anyone under the bus, but this mistake is something you fire employees for". The contractor said the gauges in the hardwood floor would not be easily repaired. The floors would need to be sanded down and stained, all hardwood area to match color." The contractor was shocked the damage would have even happened. He said this is basic...the guys should have put cardboard down on the hardwood floors, and used a dolly to move the heavy equipment, rather than dragging it across costly hardwood floors. I have called A1 and left messages more than 8 times, documenting the dates. No one has called me back. I should mention that we hired this company 2 times before and it has never been this difficult to get ahold of anyone. I believe they are purposely avoiding my phone calls. I am very disappointed in the integrity of this company! They need to pay for a company to come sand and stain our hardwood floors, and restore them to their original beauty.
