Walter, the owner, answered our call early on July 8 and indicated that he would be at our house b/t 1 and 2. He did not arrive until 4 because of issues with another job he was on. He did call to let us know he was delayed and continued to update us by phone until he was on his way. After diagnosing the issue, he gave us a detailed list of parts and work required to fix the problem. Walter committed to completing the work the next day if the parts were available. In addition, he provided information for replacing our HVAC unit based on its age - 12 years. Walter called at 8:30 the next morning to indicate that the parts were available and he could complete the work that morning. we discussed the pros and cons of repairing the unit vs replacing it and we decided to replace it with a brand new HVAC system (after I checked Mr. Cool's "A" rating with the Houston BBB). Walter took his time to explain all of the details of the repair and replacement as well as the technology, SEER rating, available tax credits for us to make an educated decision. After verifying the parts and his crew were available to do the work, Walter and his team of 4 showed up at 11:30 and completed installation at 6 pm. The crew cleaned up after themselves inside and outside of the house as well as in the attic. Walter did a final inspection of the system with me and reviewed operational and warranty info with me. To our surprise, Walter called back on July 13 to ensure that everything was working well with the A/C - it is. Working with Mr. Cool was a very positive experience. We will be using Walter's expertise for all of our HVAC needs.
