My experience was mixed for my move. My actual movers were exceptional. To the 3 who moved me into the truck (Fransico, Andy, and Jeremiah), to the 2 who moved me out of the truck (Jeremiah and George). However if I could give the company as a whole ZERO stars I would!!! I was under the impression from the start that the 3 who moved my belongings into the truck would be the ones moving me out of the truck. However it did not go that way due to the company making an error on another move and that in turn negatively affected my move. So I was affected due to the companies short comings. My original estimate was quoted for 3 movers into the truck and 3 movers out of the truck. Due to the company’s errors I was only given 2 movers to move out of the truck. And only 1 mover was my original guy who moved me into the truck. So the company required someone else last minute to unload my stuff due to their failure. The assistant manager at the Corpus Christi office (David) stated that my estimate would not change even though they shorted me one mover. Again I have high praise for the movers who were doing the work but if I could give the company ZERO starsI would. I WILL NOT be using all my sons movers again due to the lack of communication and failure to assist there customers with simple requests that were made. Also the lack of effectively running other moves so they have to short other customers experience for their failures.

The Corpus office and our movers were all very courteous and helpful in advance of Moving day. I was so impressed with the preparation and wrapping of the furniture. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Our movers were so good. They say Moving is one of the top most stressful experiences, right up there with the loss of a loved one or a job. All My Sons made the move an easy and smooth experience.

Absolutely the worst mover experience I have had in the 5 times I have hired movers. 1 star is too much... Held my stuff hostage while we had cash in route to cover the absurd bill that doubled what they charged us less than two years ago in August 2014. It took them from 9 AM - 4:45 PM just to load the truck (4-bedroom house with plenty of room to move around). Check BBB.org and ripoffreport.com for more details and even email transcripts that expose them for what they really are. Here are the details I submitted to the BBB (this is just a summary of multiple emails sent to the owner and corporate Director): ***What I have asked for*** 1. A detailed bill of my last move 2. A detailed bill of my 2014 move (for comparison) 3. A discussion about why my move was more than double? We moved less, required less furniture breakdown, zero furniture setup at the new location, and my father and I moved almost every box and 1-person-lift item upstairs. Apparently, All My Son's corporate and Corpus Christi only make "good faith efforts" to resolve consumer complaints when it involves the BBB. I have made multiple attempts to discuss my situation with All My Son's. I made contact with one of the corporate directors once, but she said I needed to discuss with their partner in Corpus. Since then, she has not even responded to my email. She continually directs me to the Corpus office. I have relayed messages through front desk employees to inform her the Corpus office is not responding, but nothing seems to work. Though I am sure they will deny it, they are obviously ignoring me until I go away. If they could provide me a detailed bill of this move and my 2014 move, I know I could prove they moved relatively the same amount of items (I am positive it was less). My 2014 move cost about $1,100. Why would the bill be more than double? Why would it take them so much longer to move when they had a 4th person? There are a lot of questions that need to be answered to justify the extreme increase in cost. ***MAIN QUESTIONS*** When does the hourly cost of "van-lining" exceed the value in adding a few extra items to a truck that is too small for the job? Why did I have to take 4 car loads and a trailer full of stuff if so many hours went into "van-lining"? How can adding a 4th person to the crew yield slower results? Why did they insist on trying to fit it in that size truck when the driver admitted to my wife later he could have gotten a bigger truck to speed up the load time? Though the workers were friendly, what makes any worker think it is a good idea to make accusations to me about my parrot talking about "smoking weed"? Why were workers walking on each other's backs to pop them; sitting on the stairs talking multiple times; seen leaving the truck empty handed countless times; watching each other work multiple times (2 people watching, not spotting, two others lift large items up the stairs)? Who thought it was a good idea to send **two** new movers (I can understand sending one, but sending two definitely impacted their already questionable efficiency)? ***Result Desired*** Drastic reduction in our $2,400+ bill for moving a 4-bedroom house that took nearly 9 hours of loading, 2-3 hours of which were spent "van-lining" (maximizing what he could fit in the truck). On a side-note: Holding my stuff hostage while I had cash in route to the house was unnecessary. We had $700 cash on hand that could have been used as a "good faith" assurance that we (a 4th time returning customer) would pay the bill in full. Locking the truck and delaying the workers an additional 45 minutes was over-kill.

No services were provided.  We had phone contact only. They may do a better job at moving and other services however they need to improve their front office training to include professionalism.

AMS did not protect my belonging while in their possession, nor take responsibility for missing and damaged items.
I hired AMS of MD to move and store my belongings. After I retrieved them and relocated, I discovered:
- 9 antiques, mostly family heirlooms, damaged
- 1 extremely expensive camera missing (including the backpack style case it was stored in, and many accessories also missing).
I paid them a total of $4,884.20 for moving and storing my belongs for 14 months. I lost over $4,000 in missing and damaged items. After filing an official claim with AMS , they offered only $222 in compensation. I denied the offer because to accept would have legally bound me from writing a review - well worth the $222.
This has been a long and drawn out process ending with nothing but complete disappointment and regret that I did not have time to read reviews before choosing their services.
I HIGHLY recommend you choose ANY other moving company for moving or storage.
(The location I used was based in MD, but offices/employees in TX were involved in negotiations when the claim was filed.)

An appointment was set up by my wife for an estimate on 4/21/15 for between 3-3:30. The owner, Stephen Staffieri, showed up at around 4pm. We toured the house and he totaled up everything to be moved on a tablet computer. He finished and told me he would email me an estimate by either that evening (4/21/15) or the following day (4/22/15). Several days had gone by with no estimate so I called him on (4/24/15) just in case he might have typed in the wrong email address. I reached his voice mail and left him a message as to what happened to the estimate he promised. As of 4/26/15, I have yet to hear from him. if this is any indication of how he does business, it would be best to not have him make my move or yours either.

I am a female and I was home alone, therefor I was nervous about two men coming into my home. They set my mind at ease right away! They were professional, courteous, friendly and fast. They worked hard to get the job done in the allotted time, but were very careful with all my stuff. They went out of their way to help me with anything I needed. I would use their services again in a heart beat!

Response from All My Sons Moving & Storage of Corpus Christi Inc

"This is clearly an attempt to Bash my good name and family as there was absolutely no damages on this job, As far as the time it took to complete the work is relative to the amount of goods being moved. All moves are unique and some persons have more than others and or of higher value, all time spent is under the supervison of the client from start to finish and at anytime a client feels the move is taking longer than anticipated is encouraged to communicate that with the office. Atleast two times during the move a Q&A call is made to ensure all work is being done professionally and in a timely manner. At no time was there any complaint of such concern. We are extremely articulate on our approach to move ones household goods as we take great pride in the process is how we continue to grow and provide excellent moving services throughout this great community. Furthermore [member name removed] had made a settlement via the BBB regarding the stop time which is standard practice to credit back any time that was not utilized during any move being charged by the hour as is in this case. Part of [member name removed] agreement was to NOT DO THIS???? Continue to write negative reviews, speak derogatory and untruths or slander my family business. Clearly you can see that even after resolving a simple matter with the BBB [member name removed] has no respect for the process and after almost two years felt the need to spend time trying to hurt my family business perhaps for personal satisfaction. All the while communications were handled with [member name removed] and to his satisfaction there were no hard feelings and we moved on. I trust that anyone who reads this will in fact find that we will always do what's best for our clients and work hard to fulfill on all our obligations to our client base to ensure the "Best Moving Experience"!!"

The owner was very professional...came out to give an estimate for the move.  The price offered was good and we felt confident that they would do a good job based on the time we had spent with the owner.  The movers were very nice, however, they showed up 6 hours late to start.  They were to bring 2 trucks and they only brought 1.  All My Sons ended up charging me more for packing the kitchen than we had agreed to.  The move ended up taking 3 days instead of 2.  A few items were broken (my outdoor table, 8 of my dinner plates, a piece of crystal, and my desk was damaged) and I have been trying to work with their claims department for 3 months.  They did not even offer to have someone come out and try to fix my desk, they just offered me a minimal sum of money to settle the claim.  I will take it just to be done with them.  Moving is hard under the best of circumstances and in the end, they did move our stuff from our old house to our new house, but it was a painful experience working with All My Sons.

The crew were quick and seemed to know what they were doing, however, the next day when everything was received at the new house John (the supervisor) and I saw there were multiple pieces of furniture damaged. Also everything in the drawers was tossed around so bad that some drawers were completely empty and others overfilled from the exchange.
John called "his boss, Steve" who told him he would call me Monday because he was "at his kid's ball game". I decided to give him that opportunity. Several phone calls and emails later, with no response, I have now called the corporate claims department. I don't know if they will do what is right, but I know the Corpus branch definitely does not care about it once they have their money. (I got the information for the claims department through another branch; meaning that possibly not all of them are bad).
Damage to property is possible and likely with such moves, but their refusal to take responsibility is unacceptable. I am having to take time from my schedule to do that which they should have handled. Terrible customer service!
Also, when I first scheduled the move they told me they accepted American Express but when I went to pay was advised this is not the case.

The move went fairly well.  The movers that came out were very nice.  They worked very hard and efficiently.  It took them almost twice as long to pick up and deliver as they predicted it would take.

From start to finish this experience was a nightmare. I had to temporarily moved into an apartment so I hired them to move and store my items. They were supposed to charge me monthly for the storage but didn't so I was charged for 4 months of storage at one time. After my belongings we delivered, they charged me for storage for two months. It was extremely difficult to get my credit as the owner dodged my calls. Also, while I was unpacking, I found numerous broken items. Along with the fact that they lost bolts and screws to put my bed back together and broke the handle on my outdoor grill. I will never use this company again.

I submitted an online quote request, and received a prompt call back from a gentleman who was extremely helpful and professional. (I don't know if he was at a central call center or in the local office.) He told me the owner would call me back ASAP to provide a quote for my move. The owner never called back. About three weeks later a lady from the local office called asking if I was still interested in their services so I explained what happened and added that I don't think I could trust them with my things if they can't even return a phone call. No apology, no attempt to make it up; she just said "ok I'll remove you from our call list." I guess they're too busy for my business.
Response from All My Sons Moving & Storage of Corpus Christi Inc

"The facts are simple.....All My Sons Moving & Storage never did business with this person. My sales agent never told anyone that The "Owner" will be calling to give him a quote. As much as I would love the opportunity to speak personally with all my potential customers it is virtually impossible to do so, that's why I have sales agents. at no time during any sales presentation, pitch or confirmation would my team make that statement. which is why I have reservations as to who this person is and what experience he claims he had with my staff and my business. Much like any other successful business, Wal-Mart, McDonalds etc etc. would a cashier or sales clerk tell a customer " Ill have the owner call you to give you a price on merchandise or a sales price".. I have worked for many years to preserve my reputation and sometimes that means we may not be a good fit for everybody however, I trust you will read all my reviews and clearly see the trend of my companies overall performance is impeccable. I welcome anyone who may have an interest in doing business with All My Sons Moving & Storage to consider all the facts and information before you make any decisions on hiring any Moving & Storage Company."

We found out that we would be moving on short notice and quickly decided that we would hire professional movers to do the job.  I called around to several different places and finally decided to use All My Sons.  I spoke with one representative at the company and she even gave me her cell phone number so that we could coordinate some of the details over the weekend.  We had a two bedroom apartment on the third floor and they recommended a three man team to do the job.  The charge for this was $129 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.  They would charge a flat 7 hours for travel time and then the actual time to load and unload the truck.  There was also a 12% fuel surcharge added on to the bill and the cost of any of their materials they used.  We packed all of our own boxes and tried to wrap a couple of pieces of delicate furniture in bubble wrap and shrink wrap.  The move was to happen on Tuesday and I was told to expect the truck to get there between 7 and 9 am, but that they normally arrived ~8:30.  They got their at 10.  Two guys immediately started loading boxes into the truck while the crew leader went through the apartment and put stickers on big items and electronics.  The wrapped all of our furniture in moving blankets and taped them up.  The crew worked very steadily to load the truck, but unfortunately, mother nature was working against us as it rained off and on through out the day.  It rained hard enough several times that the guys could not continue to work.  This turned our one day move into a two day move.  During periods where they could not work, the crew leader called into the home office to let them know so that they stopped the clock on our hourly rate.  It ended up taking about 5 hours of work to load the truck, but around 6 1/2 hours to actually get it done.  They drove the furniture up to New Braunfels and there was a little confusion about whether they would go unload the furniture or come in the morning as they had another job's furniture in the truck too and were scheduled for other jobs on Wednesday.  It took a couple of phone calls to sort out.  The crew ended up staying in a hotel overnight (we were not charged for that) and bringing the furniture in the morning.  We stayed with relatives that night and slept in because we were exhausted from packing and cleaning and they had been late the day before.  They called at 7:30 and said they were ready to unload the truck.  We hurried to the new place and it took them about 2 hours to unload the truck.  Many of the boxes they unloaded were crushed.  We had packed them ourselves, and I'm from a military family so we have moved many, many times on our own.  I know how to pack a box.  So maybe they put the smaller heavier boxes on top of the lighter, bigger boxes, maybe they did not pack them quite as tightly as I would have.  I just know some of our boxes were crushed so badly you could not stack two of them on top of each other without them falling over.  Thankfully, nothing important was damaged.  Overall we only lost 1 drinking glass and 1 glass vase (neither of which were in a box that had been crushed) and two old, cheap plastic lampshades that had become brittle with age.  None of our furniture was damaged and all of our electronics were delivered in working order.
All in all, our experience with All My Sons of Corpus Christi was positive.  They were able to schedule and execute our move on short notice.  They were very accommodating and did not take advantage of us when circumstances out of anyone's control intervened in the move.  Finally, there were no hidden charges, everything was billed exactly as it was described to us beforehand.  There were a couple of small things that keep me from calling this a perfect experience, but nothing that would keep me from recommending this company to my family and friends.  Thanks guys!

This was a big job and the crew did a great job! They arrived right at 9am and finished a little after 6 pm. They took 3 15 minute breaks for water and they were really only 10-15 minutes long. It started as a four man crew but they sent over other men as they finished earlier jobs. By 3 pm we had 7-9 men working! Anything that could be scratched or torn was wrapped and covered with blankets. Nothing was damaged. The foreman for the crew was polite and professional. All the men on the crew were very professional and seemed very well trained. One of told me "no exposed wood is allowed in the truck". They may cost a little more than some other companies in town but they are worth every penny. We have several antiques and to see them carefully wrap and blanket our family heirlooms was very reassuring.
