Welcome to Mr. Door Doctor and all the many services we provide. We achieve value for you by exceeding your expectations. I am Roger "Pete" Stoehr and I have 30 plus years experience in the construction industry. My expertise is making your expensive investment in your hardwood door(s), (the window or eyes into your house) look like new again,...which has an effect on the entire exterior look of your home. We also offer my experience in interior and exterior painting, commercial painting, decorative concrete floors, hardwood floors, garage floors, patio deck building or refurbish, and power washing your home and driveways. We are a fully insured contractor. My work is prompt and done in a timely and professional manner. I believe a contractor should do what he says he will do with no surprises. I highly recommend Mr. Door Doctor. We used them for a complete stain and varnish of our front door last year. This year we called Pete back for their annual revarnish. Pete sent someone over right away and they did a great job adding a little more color and revarnishing the front door. Unfortunately, we made a mistake while the varnish was drying and some of the plastic (used to block off the entrance) adhered to the new varnish. Called Pete and he said no problem we will send someone back to fix it for no extra charge. They just finished up this morning. Outstanding customer service!!! Pete, Mr Door Doctor, 936-777-2879

We were very pleased with Pete, the owner of Door Doctor.  His estimate was what we paid.  He was very polite and always kept us informed as to the expected time arrival of his employees.  He visited our home to check on the work that was being done.  His employees were extremely polite and we were very satisfied with their work.  They dressed professionally and cleaned up their work areas before leaving every evening.  We would not hesitate to call the Door Doctor again.

It looks gorgeous!!  They were very good at communicating if they were running behind, they completed the job on time, and the price was very reasonable.  They showed great skill in factoring in the temperature of the door and varnish, which definitely impressed me.  This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others.  Several of our neighbors used them, and the end results look very nice.

The work didn't turn out as good as I had hoped.  The work was subcontracted, and I don't think they did great work.  The stain was a darker color than the original, and the sealant is higher-gloss than we wanted.  The stain looked OK when they showed me what it initially looked like, but it ended up looking different.  The door was previously a darker oak color, but now it's got a mahogany look.  We also paid extra to get some scratches out, but they said they couldn't sand the door any further.  

Some of the doors they did for other people looked nice, but the subcontractors that came out for us just didn't do work I was happy with.  The final coat of marine sealant looks nice, but overall, I'm not pleased with it.

It went really well -- I was astonished at the care and diligence they showed!  I actually signed up for their annual maintenance plan.  They completed the work in exactly the amount of time they said for the price they quoted me.  They were very careful with the landscaping in my yard and with my property.  I come from a family of carpenters, so I know good work when I see it.  I'm not an easy grader, and I'd highly grade and recommend them.
