I was contacted quickly and received a very enlightening consultation visit from Norbert Solis who provided recommendations for trimming the trees in my yard and also discovered a pest infestation in one of the trees that needed immediate attention. This is something I may not have caught in time, so I greatly appreciated his advice. His quote for tree trimming sounded a bit high to me, but I had no experience in this type of service so agreed to it without question. What I discovered was that I got a excellent bargain considering the amount of work the crew did and how well they did it. They worked on 3 live oak trees, a large weeping willow tree and some crepe myrtles. I knew the oak trees needed some trimming, but didn't realize the extent to which the tree canopies needed to be thinned in order to let in light and air. What a difference this made in the beauty of the trees and the yard. The work crew was courteous, professional, efficient and quite skilled. Within a few hours the work was done, all the trees looked wonderful and every tiny twig had been cleared away. Excellent job, worth every cent. I will use this company again and highly recommend Good Morrow Land Services to anyone needing tree service.

When Mr. Solis arrived he disagreed with what my *printed* Angies List receipt stated was included for my $1500. It included tree removal also, but he disagreed. He wanted to leave them on my easement for the once-a-month heavy trash pick-up. But the city had come just days prior so that was not an option. It was a deal breaker for me so he agreed to remove the cut limbs and trunks. He then overestimated the time(?) it would take to perform the services and tacked on another $200 for one of the trees which only needed a couple of rotting limbs removed. (He charged my AMEX right there in the driveway) Since his workers had not worked in a couple of days (according to them) he had two four-man teams waiting and Mr. Solis said they could come right over and finish in half the time. Great! It turns out even with the "extra" tree trimming they finished a few minutes early than half the time given eight workers. So I can only conclude the $200 was really for the tree removal I had already paid for as WAS STATED ON MY ANGIES LIST RECEIPT! None-the-less, except for the misdirected limbs falling on my dense 8' high ginger garden, the workers were great and I would have them trim my trees again... but be careful on negotiations and know what you WILL get for your $$$$. But for the extra $200 I think I was unfairly charged, I would have rated their price an "A" or "B". A printed receipt is not a printed receipt, I guess, so I gave Good Morrow Land Services a "D" for price.
I answered above I would hire Good Morrow Land Services again... but the verdict is still out. The workers were excellent (except for my damaged ginger garden) .... but.... does Angies List know that the customer is going to be challenged on what his/her clearly stated printed receipt really includes??!!! I bet not.

Guys came out and were fast and cleaned up their mess.
They did leave holes in the ground where heavy parts of the tree landed, rather than setting them down more softly to protect the turf.

This company has the most courteous and professional workers I have used to cut trees. There equipment is better than anyone I have used. They are the fifth different contractor I've used to cut trees in my yard and they are by far the quickest, best equipped, and most professional service I've used. When we agreed on a price, Norbert told me when they would do the work and made sure that was ok. They arrived on time both days, worked quickly and safely and literally left my yard in better shape than they found it. Norbert's brother runs the crew. He was very courteous, spoke English very well and they all worked very hard. Their equipment allows them to finish the job in a third of the time of most crews. As long as the price is just as competitive next time, I will plan to use them again and again. Over the last 14 years we've cut 68 trees off of our property. I would recommend Good Morrow over every crew I've hired. Excellent Job.
