Jack Adams provided a very accurate estimate, and was instrumental in procuring many boxes for packing at no cost. The original estimate was $10362, and final cost was $10200. We received a refund for the difference. The entire load weighed in at 19000 lbs. and filled the entire trailer.
Ricki Palacious did an excellent job of handling and coordinating the financial and other details of the move. The driver, Tony Behrig, was on time at both the origin and the destination. He was very energetic, actively supervising, then participating in, the execution of the loading and unloading of his trailer. He also worked with us on the delivery date, which  allowed us to get to the destination and make the necessary arrangements for storage. Of special importance to us, the customers, was Tony's care at unloading and storing our furniture (see below).
The loading crew was energetic, fast, and knew exactly what they were doing. The loading started at 8:30 AM, and was done by 2:30 PM. My only negative comment was that there were some noticeable scratches on an area of the oak floor of the home we were moving from. They looked to have been made by a hand truck. In all other  respects, the load was excellent. A good effort was made to protect flooring, walls, and bannister in the house, as mist was falling during the load.
The unloading process, in contrast, was not of the same high quality as the loading. The two contractors provided by United in Nevada were not careful storing our furniture. Fortunately, our driver, Tony, was there to correct their work. Thank you, Tony. 
Our overall experience with Armstrong Relocation, was just outstanding. Jack, Ricki, and Tony are all consummate professionals, and bring great credit to Armstrong. We got estimates from two other major movers, and all were withing $300. But we feel like the value we got with Armstrong makes them the best choice. We would not hesitate to use Armstrong Relocation in the future, and highly recommend their services.

I was not going to say anything and just be done with it all but I keep getting requests to rate Armstrong Movers so here goes. In a nutshell...nightmare.    I will say that the men who came and did the moving were very nice, overall the experience was terrible. From the so called "not to exceed quote"..well, you guessed it. When all said and done, my "not to exceed quote" went up dramatically. We NEVER bid a move without a 'not to exceed quote' but I didn't notice that the salesman conveniently didn't write that on the paperwork.  So, when I went to have my stuff in storage delivered, they wouldnt give me my things until I paid more !!!!! They said they never do storage with 'not to exceed'. I told them the salesman bid me this type of quote or I wouldnt have hired them. Unfortunately for me, I didn't notice the lack of verbiage on the paperwork.  Next, I was getting behind in packing so hired them to send a team to help me pack. Was supposed to be two people, only one showed up. She wasnt too happy about it and althought got the work done, when I unpacked, things were crammed into the boxes. Alot more was damaged than I claimed because  couldn't claim for onsey-twosey type things. Then came the day of the move. Again, very courteous crew but some were inexperienced. At the end of the move, a very expensive painting was left on the wall. I let them know...they replied "oh, you're taking that?". To which they then were going to wrap it in a blanket and load it on top of everything else already piled in the truck. It was a very hot day....the paint would have stuck to a blanket not to mention that it was supposed to have had a crate built for it. We ended up moving it ourselves with the help of a personal truck because at this point I didn't trust them.  When crew arrived at our new house, the stairs in to the front door go down a slight slope. I asked them to move the heavy furniture on the grass so wouldn't bump and jolt all the way down each step(because oh yes, they wouldnt carry the stuff...put it on a dolly which I have never had movers do before). Well, every time I got busy with something else, my furniture was being bumped down each step.  Need I say more?????

We're still waiting on a table that couldn't make the first trip, but they did a pretty good job. We wanted one antique item wrapped a bit more, and one of the crew didn't want to do it. Someone else stepped in and did it, but my wife was still a bit upset. Other than those things, they were very polite and professional.

I can't speak more highly of Armstrong Relocation, they made everything so easy.  They were on time on both ends, actually I was extremely surprised they were on time to unload in Lubbock because its a 5 hour drive from DFW.  They were on time, very professional and courteous.  The staff kept me informed the whole way through the process concerning the how's and when's. They were extremely efficient and everything was unloaded prior to the expected time given.  This was a painless move and I wouldn't hesitate to call Armstrong again for my move.  Great job to everyone involved and my family and I really appreciate the way you treated our move.

The moving team showed up on time with everything they needed to pack up my 5 bedroom home along with my game room.  They were very professional and did a great job of getting everything wrapped and secured in the storage containers.  I was very impressed at how efficiently my crew worked and how seamlessly everything went.  They took great care of my furniture and wrapped everything very well so nothing could get damaged.  Very nice job, Erica from customer service even checked in from time to time to make sure everything was going well.  Great all around experience and I will be asking for the same exact crew to move my furnishing out of storage and to my new destination once I find a house here.

Armstrong is an agent for United. The United crew were excellent. They gave us a heads up that they were on the way and arrived when expected. They were very thorough in putting down protective carpeting / cardboard that kept both the house we moved out of and the one we moved into from any damage. The crew were very polite and professional. They all worked very hard under the direction of the crew leader to move us out / in. They put most all boxes and furniture in the right place in the new house which made unpacking / furniture arranging much easier. Nothing was damaged. Very happy with both service and price.

I got about five estimates from all the major vanlines.    Prices were all over the map.  Some salespeople were very detailed in describing their process, quality records, public accolades, etc.  Some just gave you a price and said take it or leave it.  Armstrong impressed me in all areas.  Gary Gartman was our salesman and was very professional and helpful.  They were a little higher than the median with price, but i felt the best with them and decided to go with them.
We had a team of three pack us in one day.  The foreman (Kevin) was extremely nice and professional, excellent communication by the entire team.   They were experienced, and not day-labor hires.  They clearly asked questions when needed to make sure all was packed as expected.  They were very careful.
The second team loaded the truck at our old home and unloaded at our new home.  Again- the foreman was exceptional (Eric) at communicating, very courteous and professional.  The entire crew communicated well and asked great questions as they loaded/unloaded to make sure our expectations were met.  They did not so much as ding a wall (that we can find) and so far as we have unpacked everything looks great.  
And at the end of the day, the weight estimate from Gary was just ONE POUND off from the actual truck weight.  Other movers had estimated 1000-2000 lbs more than Gary did.
So this was a great experience for us, and highly recommended.

Everything was packed and loaded with pure professionalism.  I could not have asked for a better crew.  When I asked for special handling on a few pieces that were very important to me the request was met with genuine care and understanding.  I truly felt like they cared about my goods.  I would use them again no question asked.

A totally terrible experience with claims still unresolved three months later.  Move was about 40 mile local.  Selected and commited to high price because we needed a professional packing job.
Packing Estimate
4 packers for two days for 190 1.5 Cu Ft boxes, 69 3.5 Cu Ft boxes, some wardrobes and larger boxes.  Four packers.  Foam wrap/cell pack for lots of antique glassware.
Packing Reality -
2 packers
30 small boxes, all very heavy - books, liquor cabinet
70+ 4.5 Cu Ft boxes, and 30 wardrobes weighing from 70 to over 200 pounds with stuff from multiple rooms tossed in a random
glassware wadded into big balls of paper - We;re doing a kitchen remodel.  I just moved the glassware from 4 giant boxes to 12 managable small boxes with contents unknown.
Things dumped randomly in boxes.  Expected dressers that were emptied to be put drawer by drawer in small labeled boxes.  In fact, things from several rooms ended up in the giant boxes. 
I complained about the glass packing early on the first packing day.  Was told, "This is how we do it, regardless of the estimater."
Moving Estimate
23,000 pounds including chest freezers with food, portable dog kenneling, 100 bankers boxes we packed
Moving Reality
We moved the kenneling in a U-Haul truck, bankers boxes in a POD, virtually all art work, kitchen dishes and glasses in 15 Exterra, pickup and trailer loads.  They declined the freezers on Wednesday when they loaded the truck.  They finally brought out a bob tailed truck and moved them that night based on the estimate. 
Loaders were really great people, but they left us with 9 foot high piles of extremely heavy boxes.  The polished concrete floors are deeply scratched.  Antique doll folded over among clothes and broken.  Antique clocks under heavy stone globe, etc.
On the way out, they stalled the truck twice across a well traveled road, and side swiped a tree.  Was told claim work started 1-Sept.  In fact, nothing happened until we called multiple times, and nothing has been resolved despite three claims inspector visits. 
We got a supervisor out four days after our move.  His comment, "We should video this as an example of how not to pack."
If you use them, get everything in writing, plan to supervise packing full time and be prepared to argue for your rights for a long time.

The owner Joe and his crew showed up on time, were extremely professional and friendly, and worked efficiency and safely to unload our items in the locations we wanted.

They even laughed at my father's corny jokes!

The commercial did a great impression on me. Unfortunately if the packing went well, the loading was a nightmare as it seems the commercial did a very bad job to communicate with the team in charge of the move on how much things they had to move. Time passing, movers getting frustrated, the job ended up to be done poorly and I was the one to be blamed on......Furthermore the commercial showed up late asking us to pay some extra costs while we were since 8AM with the movers...Sure you don't want to use as well the unpacking service as what it means is that they are going to drop everything on the floor without any consideration on if you can move around the place. Finally we had damages...If I had one positive note to say is that some of the crew members were trying their best but when things are going wrong since the begining what can you do...

Many of the moves we have made in the past with other companies ranged from just plain bad to total disaster. This move was absolutely flawless from beginning to end. Worked with Craig (sales) who was very helpful and provided a very accurate estimate. Paul (scheduler) keep us well informed during the move. Ken and James (the moving crew) were outstanding. They were very courteous, careful, and friendly. Everything was well packed and wrapped with pads and/or shrinkwrap, and any glass panels on furniture were protected with additional cardboard. As a result of choosing Armstrong Relocation, we had a move that was on-time, on-budget, and with zero damage.

My company assigned Armstrong Relocation to move my stuff when I moved to Dallas. I was required to pack everything myself, but they took it from there. They were very punctual, in fact I'd say too punctual (they were supposed to be there at 8 am, but they arrived before 7 am, long before I was ready). My friends and I were still throwing things in boxes, and our packing job was less than stellar. But somehow they got all of my stuff to Dallas with only one broken bowl. The company did a great job, but I would never have been able to afford them if I'd been paying out of pocket. Plus it took over a week to get my stuff because it was a small move (but I was warned about that in advance).

It was GREAT. We first called another company who estimated the move would take 9 hours and $2100-2800. My realtor recommended Armstrong and I called Bruce Waller. He met me, surveyed our move, and promised me a quote the next day. I was sure it would be more than the first company since Armstrong is an affiliate company, but instead it was less than half! The movers showed up, as promised, and completed the move in five hours. They put boxes and runners down to protect the carpet. They padded and wrapped everything. They joked and laughed and really seemed to enjoy their job and each other, which really helped lighten the stress of our move. The crew supervisor, Melvin set the tone. He was the best!
