About us
G&M HAULERS MOVING AND STORAGE CO. is a College Station moving company that provides a high quality moving service in and around the Brazos Valley area (College Station/Bryan). We will also move various items such as motorcycles, 4-wheelers, playscapes, hottubs, pool tables, and many other items. This is a company owned by two Aggies who found the need to provide a high quality moving service at a reasonable price. Our commitment to our customers is to move people at a fast rate while providing the best quality service that we possibly can. Our number one goal is to keep our customers happy and in doing so, they will let others know about our excellent yet affordable service. This is why we are the fastest growing moving company in the area. Our prices will always stay reasonably low to keep gaining new customers. Find somebody with a lower rate, which is near impossible, and we will beat it! We do move people to other cities inside the state of Texas. If moving outside the Bryan/College Station area, please contact us for a price quote because these prices would vary depending on the distance traveled and the amount of material needed to be moved.

They were also the cheapest by far of the 5 companies in my area that I got quotes from, and the actual cost was very accurate to the quote.
I called G&M Haulers in early April 2015 to schedule this job for first thing in the morning on July 7, 2015. I spoke to Jose. I received an email confirmation within 20 minutes of our phone call, confirming the details of the job. I LOVE THIS!! This kind of professionalism gives me confidence!
My Boulder, CO son graduated with his master's degree in May and is moving to Germany to work. My College Station, TX son graduated with his undergraduate degree in May and moved into his first apartment in July. We needed to get the Colorado son's belongings out of the Colorado apartment in May and into the Bryan, TX apartment in July, and we needed to store everything for 6 weeks in the meantime! For that reason, I used PODs -- hired 2 guys to load the POD in Boulder, Colorado in May; stored the POD for 6 weeks in Colorado prior to having it moved to Texas (shockingly, the Bryan, TX POD location is not climate-controlled!); and hired G&M Haulers to unload the POD on July 7 in Bryan, TX.
THEY WERE WONDERFUL!
A crew of three guys showed up promptly at 8:15am on July 7th. They were so polite and friendly from the start! They introduced themselves with a smile and a handshake. John, Ron, and (oh, dear! I feel bad! I kept teasing the third guy and saying his name was "Don" -- to go with John and Ron, and now I forgot his real name! Was it Dwayne? Wayne? I'm sorry!).
They opened up the POD and got right to work. Everything went so quickly! They were cheerful the entire time, which put me and my son in a great mood. They knew exactly what they were doing. They worked super well together as a team, and they worked really well together as individuals. There was so little verbal communication between them at times, about what needed to be done, and yet they each knew exactly what to do, and they each did it so well! It was like clockwork!
They carefully maneuvered each piece of furniture and each box, no matter how big or cumbersome, up the winding staircase and into the second-floor apartment. Nothing was damaged in the slightest.
Nothing was too heavy or too much work. They removed all the tape from the moving blankets and threw it away. They were very neat and tidy! Love that.
They each offered, several times, to fold the moving blankets when they were done. But I wanted to fold them myself.
I found two little dowels on the bedroom floor as Ron was putting the queen-sized bed together, and he apologized for missing them and then happily took the bed apart again at two of the corners to put the dowels in, explaining that he was looking for those two dowels earlier and couldn't find them. (They blended nicely with the carpet!)
This was a complicated job in some respects because not all of the stuff in the POD was going to stay in my Texas son's apartment. Some of it had to go back with me to my home -- for the Colorado son to keep after his move to Germany. So, there were times that I had to ask the guys to take some heavy box from one room, where they mistakenly placed it based on its labeling, into another room, where I could remember to bring it home with me. This problem also caused a few miscommunications between me and the guys in the beginning of the unloading operation because I didn't do a really good job explaining the situation at first. They had to move a few of the same things a few different times!
But no matter! These three guys were cheerful, smiley, eager to help the whole time, no matter what happened!
They mentioned that the crew that loaded the POD in Colorado did a very good, professional job. That made me feel really good.
I forgot to bring my checkbook from my home when I came down for this son's move. And so, I needed to run to an ATM for cash. When they were done, in just about 50 minutes, I asked them if they would mind wrapping the used blankets in the green plastic wrap, to keep them all together and clean for the next move, while I ran to a nearby ATM. They very happily obliged! The "blanket pouches" they made for me while I was at the ATM are so convenient to move and store! They did a great job with that, too!
This was a really great experience! Professional, cheerful, hard-working crew. Got the job done in an hour! (It took the loaders 2 and 3/4 hours to load the POD in Colorado, which is, admittedly a more time-consuming job.)
I cannot say enough good about these guys and this company. I am a nervous customer about this sort of thing. It's a lot of money to move, and it takes a lot of forethought and physical and emotional energy! Had I known just how awesome these guys were, I would have been a ton more relaxed for the past few months! Haha!
Thank you, John, Ron, and ... Dwayne? .... (Don!) for a job very well done!!! Thank you, Jose, for keeping your promises, running an excellent company, and making it all come together!
