"Our technician did testing at this property and located the best indications of a leak in front of units #2 and #3 where the service line may branch off the main line. We were contracted by a management company and marked the leak location, later showing it to our contact person there who hired us. We collected a deposit as proposed and sent an invoice for the balance along with the report. Never were we notified in any way, by anyone, there was a question or problem with the location we indicated. There was a delay in payment of the balance and we had a few conversations with management following up on the payment; the invoice had apparently been lost and copies had to be emailed. Never was there a remark about the accuracy of the test. No attempt was ever made by our client (the management firm) to have the bill reduced, nor negotiated; nor was a request made for a refund or anything of that nature. As far as we have known for the last year, there was not an issue except for the slow payment on the balance. We have never had contact with/knowledge of the member who posted this review, so we were quite surprised to see this review one year later. If we had been notified in a timely manner of any issues with the leak location, we would have addressed their concerns immediately."
The workmen came to the house on a very cold and nasty day and found the leak quickly and indicated that it was near the skimmer. They said that if the skimmer didn't have to be replaced, it would be about $800.
They then wrote up a detailed report and described the options for repairing it. They offered to do the work which would be guaranteed.
I opted to have them do the repair which they did a few days later. It was done on time and everything works great now. They had to break two holes through the patio that they patched very well.
All the pool (leak) repair companies were booked long into the future, so I would recommend getting on their calendar asap.
That afternoon, as promised, they called to advise they were on the way. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Noel Gutierrez showed up and got to work diagnosing the issue. He first told me that he had found a loose screw in the light that was letting a lot of water out. He tightened up the screw then covered it up with epoxy to keep it sealed. He left the light uninstalled, sitting on the side of the pool, so the epoxy could harden undisturbed. He said he would return the following day to reinstall the light. He then continued diagnosis and reported that there were no other leaks.
There was no charge, since we are still under warranty from a bigger leak job they performed in August last year. This was a surprise, because their documentation said that the warranty was 30 days!I filled the pool and noted the level with a piece of tape. The following day it was still at the same level - apparently the leak is fixed fine.
Mr. Gutierrez returned the following day, as promised, and reinstalled the light. Everything looks to be completely shipshape at this point.
