Alpha Garage Doors Garage Door opener Install Review This review is so that others do not make the same mistakes we did. First of all, if this is your first garage door opener, you will need to call an electrician to make sure everything is copacetic before having the garage door opener installed. Especially if you have a high garage ceiling. Our original quote did not include brackets, so that was an extra cost that we were not prepared for. The other things that we had to buy that we were not aware of was a light bulb (yes, your newly paid for garage door opener does not include a lightbulb), and an extension cord [to plug in the garage door opener to the ceiling] as the garage door plug was too short for our ceiling. If you make a morning appointment it is quite possible that the installers will not show up until the end of the day. If you have a high garage ceiling let them know before you make your first appointment or they will not bring the right ladder for the installation and will have to set up a second appointment. They do not take credit cards. Check or cash only. You will not be able to get a second garage remote door opener. Do not believe them when they tell you that you can use your car or your cell phone as a second remote for your garage door. Lastly, communication was subpar, to say the least, with lots of phone tag and more of us calling them than the other way around. It felt like we wanted their help more than they wanted a customer. When we were able to get ahold of the owner, he was very friendly, however, for this being our first garage door opener it was not a good experience for us, I do not recommend this company and I will not use them again.

Tyler arrived at the scheduled time and completed the replacement of both torsion springs on my 18-ft door in 15-20 minutes (at most). He adjusted and tested the door balance and explained everything he did. He was courteous, efficient, and clearly knew what he was doing. If I need garage door service again, I will call Alpha first.

My garage opener broke late in the morning. Alpha Garage Door Repair was the first company to call me. It was repaired and working before the end of the day. I really appreciate their great service. It cost $175to repair. I think that is a fair price.

After submitting my need for service to HomeAdvisor, this was the only garage door repair that could come out the same day (Monday). In fact, they contacted me within one hour of my placing my request for service, and discussed my options (with the advantages and disadvantages of each). I received a very reasonable quote and was informed when the installer would arrive. He arrived on time and finished the install by 1:15 pm. Yes, I will definitely use this company in the future.
