Ron took care of us so well. He installed a very expansive drainage system in our backyard since it was flooding consistently last August, and now almost a year later it still works perfectly. We have had awful rains this year, but no flooding at all. I highly recommend him!!!

This was our second time using Pinckard Landscaping, and once again, it was truly a job well done. This time, we decided to have new landscaping installed in our front yard. We worked with Sandy and after meeting with us, discussing our preferences and taking meticulous measurements, she came back with a color rendering of her recommendations for the project. We made just a few adjustments and the work began the following week. The yard looks amazing!

Three years ago (Sept 2021) I contracted with Pinckard Landscape for a major drainage project. While another contractor did a repair years before we bought the home, that effort didn't hold and we were getting significant water seepage into our indoor areas during heavy rains. Lon and his crew correctly identified the problem. We changed out the flexible black pipe which had collapsed with 6 inch diameter PVC drain pipe with and additional 6 inch French drain pipe under that pulling water from the gutters directly into the pipes and connecting them once they were clear of the house. (Yes 6" diameter rather than 4#. Good move!). They also added new plastic sealer affixed to the foundation and a ton of drainage rocks. The result was brilliant! We eliminated 95% of water issues with this job and the rest were fixed with some new grouting. I recommend this company to everybody for quality work. Good job, Pinckard.

We had Pinkard put in a drainage system with a sump pump. They did an incredible job at a very reasonable price. They cleaned up very well. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I would highly recommend them.

We waited a long time to update our front and side yard. We needed extensive rock sidewalk and edging plus landscaping work done. We had a design prior to the start of work and they were very helpful with suggestions as the project progressed to changes/improvements to the design. They showed up when they said they would, they didn't have to borrow any equipment from us which is a big deal to us; you would/will be surprised how many contractors show up and ask to borrow something. They completed the work on time, responded anytime we called. Our project was in the $45,000+ price range. We have received many compliments from neighbors and people walking by on the final project. We've had people stop to take photos for their future landscape projects. We would and will use them again and highly recommend them.

I don't remember how we stumbled on to Pinckard Landscaping, but I'm so glad I did. I remember one of the first things that impressed me was that Neil Sperry has great things to say about them and totally recommends them (especially for drainage problems). They are the drainage experts (especially french drains), and that's exactly what we were needing. Lon came out personally and looked at our problem and made recommendations, and then Sandy came out to look at things to draw up landscaping ideas for both our front and back yards. We decided to do the front yard first and will be doing the back later. Let me just say that, from beginning through the first stage of the job, Pinckard Landscaping did everything perfectly and first class. They transformed our front yard and bedding and it took them only one day to do it! And Sandy was on location the whole time! We can't wait until they do our back yard now. Pinckard gets an A++ all the way around! We recommend them highly!

Lon and his crew were excellent! We have a basement in our home in the DFW airport area. Half of the basement is under ground and was flooding enough during storms that we had to run wet dry vacs and dehumidifiers for up to 48 hours whenever there was a big thunderstorm or extended periods of consistent rain. Lon did his work over a year ago and I hesitated to write a review until some major rain came around. But since he did his work, we have not had any water related to seepage in the foundation reappear. What a blessing! This was not an easy job for his team. When they got in to create the ditch, we found the previous homeowners tried their own fix with less expensive corrugated black pipe buried a little higher. This had collapsed and the massive number of rocks for drainage were quickly taking the water to our foundation rather than out to the street. Lon's team removed all of those rocks, dug a new trench, used a sledgehammer on some bedrock to ensure they were below the foundation with all of their drains and took a new 6" diameter solid line out almost 100 yards to the street. They also laid a second pipe on top of it to drain rainwater from our gutters. The result is incredibly impressive. When we get drenched, it's no big deal. Drains that used to be overwhelmed during severe thunderstorms were replaced with ones that quickly take the water out to the street. An engineering miracle. I highly recommend Lon and the team for their integrity, quick (and hard) work and getting it right. The guys really know what they are doing when it comes to drainage.

Lon Pinckard just finished a big job for me. I couldn't be more pleased. Drainage, driveway, fence, replace railroad tie retaining wall with stone, flagstone patios, and landscape all around. Lon and Sandy (landscape architect) were involved each step of the way, and made sure the job was completed to our satisfaction. He and his team are excellent.

Have been trying to get it completed correctly since June 2018 (Finally had to find someone else). Rocks are cracking, mortar is flaking out, drain issue and all around shoddy work. They continue to want to patch a brand new patio instead of doing to correctly the first time. When I disagree with his continued repairs, he cusses me out and gets so upset that he spitting in my face as he speaks. He then files a lien on my property for his sub-par and unfinished work. He admits after all of this that he hadn't finished screwing down all the drain covers and wanted to come back to do just screw those down. nothing else. Be very careful if you decide to with Lon Pickard.

They started and completed the job well ahead of schedule, the work was done with high quality and workers were very neat and respectful of surrounding landscape. WOW! What a great group of professionals. We can really sing the praises of Pinckard Landscaping Service for the job they did on our front lawn and flowerbeds. We give them ten stars (on the five-star scale). We met initially with Sandy Rogers who was very helpful in outlining our ideas for a low maintenance, Texas heat tolerant plants for our flowerbeds. She made several great plant selections and had a book of pictures of the various plants in case we weren’t familiar with them. We also had a section of our front yard that needed to be cleared and covered with St. Augustine sod. During the sixteen years we’ve lived here, the front hedges and other plants have grown out of control and some serious removal work was needed. The bid was very reasonable for the amount of work involved. Sandy and her crew arrived right on schedule and began work immediately. Each member of the work crew knew exactly what they were to do and they worked very efficiently. Sandy was there to oversee the work and assure each plant was placed according to the plan. We were pleased she was on-site so that any questions or issues could be resolved immediately. Thanks to her advance planning, there were none. They cleared all the old plants, flowers and soil from our flowerbeds, then put in fresh, clean soil. Next, they rototilled the beds to assure a good mix of soil in the beds and a welcoming environment for the new plants to grow. The crew exhibited extreme care for the rest of the lawn by placing plywood planks over the grass for the wheelbarrows of dirt and mulch to follow. They also placed covers down for the mounds of dirt and mulch unloaded for the job. The crew was very careful to pick up any debris as they worked. After they finished the job, they had us run the sprinklers to be sure nothing had been disturbed during the project. They cleaned up everything and it looked perfect. Should we need more landscaping work done at a future date, Pinckard Landscaping will definitely be our first choice. Their knowledge, integrity and professionalism are stellar. Based on his observations and a few questions, he did not think it was necessary to install a drainage system. I appreciated that he gave me his honest opinion and provided clear explanations. Very well on both projects. Lon and his crew worked efficiently and expertly from start to finish. They exceeded my expectations which were high. The 80 foot retaining wall draws compliments from my neighbors and the extensive French drain has saved my marshy backyard. I would absolutely hire them again. $5,160 for the wall and $5,000 for the French drain.
