It went very well. Lon came out and gave an estimate. I had contracted with him before on a more extensive project so I was familiar with the quality of his work. Said it would be a couple weeks before he could get to it. The crew showed up at that time and completed the work in a little over one day.

I could not have asked for a better lanscaper. He finished the job quickly and it was completed to perfection.

Sandy the designer was professional and helpful. She listened to what I had to say about what I liked and didn't and what issues we were trying to solve. She made recommendations for plants and gave good choices. On the day of install, we had rain forecasted they kept me informed of late arrival due to the weather. The installation crew was very professional and Sandy was here the entire day as well. The plants were of high quality and they were open to slight changes in the plan. I asked for some additional work, including a small amount of brick work under a gate. They cheerfully did this additional work at no additional charge. A day or two later, we noticed a break in one of the sprinkler lines near in the vicinity of the work. They quickly came out to repair the issue. Three weeks later, everything continues to look good and all plants are surviving well. Pinkard is a great find and it is easy to see that they care about the quality of their work and the satisfaction of their customers. I highly recommend them. The price was very reasonable for the value of the service and product that we received.a

Every time it rained we had a pond in our back yard. Lon Pinckard came out and explained what needed to be done and provided a itemized quote. They showed up on time the day they were scheduled. They put down plywood walkways to the backyard to protect the landscaping. They dug a 135 ft trench from backyard to street, under a fence, through a gravel pool equipment area, and under the sidewalk. They dug a drain in backyard and installed a sump pump. Lon had the electrician there the next day to run power out to the pump. The following day Lon's crew filled in the drain field and trench. They sodded the drain area and cleaned up the yard. This company does everything right! They are prompt, crews are in uniform, and the quality of work is excellent. Lon goes the extra mile keeping you informed. He also went with me to discuss an issue with neighbor and did a final walkthrough after job was complete. These guys cleaned up and left yard looking perfect, even hosed off patio. I will definitely use Pinkard landscape services for any future landscape, drainage needs.

We have used Lon for 2 different jobs. We chose him first to install a French drain, which we desperately needed. He was extremely knowledgable,and the work was completed on time, on budget, and works great. We then used Lon to regrade our backyard and install sod. Again, the job was completed on time, and the work was professionally done. Absolutely no problems. We've been very happy with the results. If we ever need more landscaping work done, we will definitely look to Lon.

We should be so lucky to have all our home projects go this smoothly. We called for an estimate. They were our third estimate. Work started the next week and was done in three days. The level of professionalism and neatness of the gentlemen that worked at our home is unmatched. The wall is absolutely beautiful.

The work went very well overall. They do very good work and I've received many compliments from neighbors and friends. The workers showed up on time and worked diligently until the job was finished. They added a step from the flagstone patio that wasn't in the contract and they built landings into the walkway that I wasn't expecting.... both of which I am very happy about! Lon strives to make everything right and I will definitely use them in the future.

We had a wait time for Pinckard Landscape Services to come out. They wouldn't leave their plants with us so we could look up the types of plants they wanted to install so we opted not to go with them. He really couldn't tell us anything and I'm even sure why he came out because we ended up having to have another meeting with a landscape designer and I don't know why he didn't being her out on the initial meeting.

Lon from Pickard Landscaping was wonderful. We had a major drainage issue and he came out immediately to help assess the situation. We ultimately decided on another route, but not because we were not happy with him or the quote he gave us. I have kept his card and plan to call him in the future when and if the need arises.

WORK WAS PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL AND WELL DONE

I worked with Sandy to describe what we were looking for. We paid for a landscape design and then selected the elements that we wanted to go ahead and address. We scheduled the work. I don't remember the day it was started. However, it was started and completed in 2 days as planned. The workers were organized, professional and tidy. They have to make a little mess. You break a few eggs when you make an omelet but considering the scope of what they were doing, I thought they did a good job of keeping things clean. The fence guys came out and did their portion, including removal of the old fence, in a morning. We had a couple small concerns after we inspected the finished work and they were addressed immediately and quite satisfactorily. One thing that impressed me is that Sandy recognized that drainage on one of the new beds was going to be a prooblem. She engineered a solution that required extra parts and labor to implement but did not charge us more for it. She could easily have overlooked it altogether. The impression that I have is that Pinckard is a high integrity business and that I got a good value for the money I spent. I may paid a little more - I don't know for sure, but if I did, it was well worth it. They stand behind their work and are a pleasure to work with. And, of course, we're delighted with the finished product. Our yard looks much better.

Workers arrived on time, very professional, cleaned up after job. I'm very happy with the end result, a very professional job, even better than I was expecting. Will use Pinckard Landscaping for any future job and recommend them highly.

Thanks to the professionalism and expertise of Lon Pinckard and Pinckard Landscape Services, this project went magnificently from start to finish. I am elated with the finished product! When I first met Lon Pinckard, my yard was in terrible disrepair. I had hired a different landscaper originally but felt the need to let him go for substandard work and a belligerent attitude. I found Lon on Angie's List and asked him for help. Not only did he have to start from scratch in some portions of my yard, he also had to find a creative solution for some of the problems created by the previous landscaper. Lon and his highly skilled team of subcontractors left me with a gorgeous finished product at a fair price with absolutely no hassle. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish! Moreover, I know I can count on Lon of Pinckard Landscaping to stand by his product. He's a man who keeps his word and truly cares about his customers. Nice! As you can see from the list of services above, Pinckard Landscaping did a whole lot of work in my yard. I am so pleased with the quality of the work and the materials that they installed. My plants and landscape rocks were all hand-picked by Lon's subcontractor and landscape designer, Sandy Rogers. To a plant, they were extremely healthy-looking, beautiful specimens. The rocks were handpicked for their colors, shapes, and sizes. Sandy designed each of the beds and assigned plants to each spot. I was particularly happy with her contributions to this project. I love the red oak she picked for me, too. She has a real knack for creativity and design! Jaime, Lon's subcontractor for stone work, was equally adept at his craft. He and his crew built a gorgeous stone retaining wall, to include two useful and attractive stone landings that join the wall to my cedar deck. Jaime had a particularly difficult task in that he had to come up with a structurally sound work-around within my budget that could accomodate a previously-built, poorly-designed stone 'facade' (built by another company) that would not have stood up to the planned amount of backfill without Jaime's intervention. They did an amazing job! Again -- great quality along with appreciable beauty! Andrew, Lon's subcontractor for irrigation (Enhanced Turf, Inc), did a lot of work and showed great concern for my happiness. His crews laid the sprinkler system prior to the installation of the beds by the landscaping crews. Unfortunately, Andrew then had to come back and correct several issues that were naturally created by all the activity that followed his initial visits. But he returned promptly and cheerfully and went straight to work making things right. After the entire project was completed, I discovered that I had too little water in one area of my yard and too much water in another area. I called Lon. Lon called Andrew. And before I knew it, Andrew and Lon were out there again, cheerfully and expertly correcting the problems I had noted. In fact, they were there within a few hours of my call! I know I can count on Lon Pinckard and all of his subcontractors to make things right when there's a problem. One of the best benefits of hiring a general contractor like Lon Pinckard of Pinckard Landscaping Services is that I can make one phone call and leave the problem in one reliable, professional person's hands. Worries instanteously off my back. Easy! Sweet! From my very first contact until the last, Lon and all of his subcontractors were exceptionally responsive. In almost every case, over a period of about a month of project-planning followed by a few days of installation and a few weeks of fine-tuning, Lon answered the phone right away. If he couldn't answer the phone, he returned my calls within minutes, 100% of the time! I knew I count on him. He is an exceptional communicator. He's a go-getter who truly knows his business, works very hard, and clearly puts customer service first, but he's also got a very sweet, accomodating, calming demeanor. At times, I think I put him to the test. By the time I met Lon, I was stressed and wearing thin from 3 months of 20+ projects going on in my home with various contractors of all types. On top of that, I can be a pretty nervous customer. But Lon handled it all with grace and kindness, and he put my concerns first. I felt blessed to have found him amongst all the providers on Angie's List. Lon and every one of his subcontractors were extremely punctual. In all the planning and work that was done here over about a month's time, I never once waited for Lon or one of his subcontractors to show. I never once had to reschedule. Lon told me when each of them would be here and -- poof -- they were here! What a joy! Just that alone put Lon's team of professionals in the category of Exceptional, in my book. I would definitely hire this company again, and I probably will someday. From start to finish, this was an outstanding experience. I got a high quality product for a fair price from an extraordinarily customer-service-oriented professional. Lon and his subcontractors were reliably responsive, punctual, conscientious, knowledgable, and effective. I highly recommend Pinckard Landscaping Services!

It was a great experience working with Pinkard Landscape Services. They were very professional and did a great job from the initial estimate all the way through implementation of the new design. We would definitely use them again.

The work they did in back yard was superior. The design was beautiful and easy to handle. The front bed became weedy very quickly, but I think that has something to do with the wind patterns as we've had it done at least once a year and nothing seems to help. Will be using them again.

Overall it really well. I also got advice on how to trim an overgrown bush in my yard which I was surprised to find out was actually a badly trimmed tree!

I read a number of the outstanding recommendations on Angie's List prior to hiring Lon Pinckard and I was not disappointed. To begin with, Lon usessuperb materials. He uses PVC pipe instead of the flexible, slotted drain pipe which will last much longer and not clog. Second, Lon clearly knows his business and designed the best solution to my drain problem, such as, tying-in the down spouts and placement of surface drains. Third, the company did a beautiful job of coring the curb outlet instead of cutting the curb and re-cementing it. Lastly, Lon Pinckard assigned a 5-man crew, so the job was completed in one day. The crew was very professional and very well trained. The clean-up was immaculate - never seen anything like it. I wouldn't use anyone else. The crew did a great job.

Good service. Came out on time and completed job efficiently and no clean up was needed. The only issue, which was more a problem for him than me, was the owner didn't seem interested to come back out meet with me, inspect it or to collect his payment. I also offered to have him give me estimates on additional work I wanted done. He didn't respond to the voice mail I left for him. Maybe too busy. Price was lower than the other estimate I got but the price did seem a tad high for what was done. I willingly paid it and would again.

Very fast, worked w/in my budget to give me all I desired

Having battled erosion problems for years, and not able to correct it myself, I finally decided to get professional help. I had seen Lon Pinckard's ads, liked what I saw, and looked him up on Angie's List. On first visit I found Lon to be very professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I know it is recommended that one gets three estimates for a job.. I could tell that Lon is a man of great integrity, so I decided not to get more estimates. Best decision I ever made. Lon installed two French drains, new rose flowerbed,put down 60 bags of mulch, and some concrete work. He also found cap for plumbers clean-out drain I haven't been able to find for years. I liked that he gave estimates for each item in case I couldn't do all the work at once. Total for all the above was $4530 finished in two days.. I found entire crew polite, honest, professional, efficient, experienced, and easy to talk to just like Lon. Clean up was A+. Pinckard's Landscape exceeded all expectations. Got more than I paid for, and will definitely use again.

From beginning to end the process went very smoothly and the end result exceeded our expectations. When my neighbor and I decided to move forward and replace our old retaining wall, I went to Angies List and and talked to 3 or 4 companies. Lon Pinckard came out to meet with us on 2 -3 occasions to answer our questions and to walk us through exactly what he intended to do and to give us his recommendation as to the best way to proceed. Because of summer vacations and such we did not move forward until the beginning of October when I called Lon to come out. He again went over the scope of the work, asked for the business, and we said okay. A couple of days later Lon called and said that he would be starting work on Thursday and again verified what we wanted done in terms of fence removal and such. The work of removing the existing wall, garden box and fence was done first, followed by the trenching for the drainage pipe and then building the wall. The entire process, because of the size of the crew Lon provided was done in two days. Amazing! The crew was cutting rock and mixing cement in a mixer on site, When the work was completed, our yards were clean, the fill dirt was smoothed out and there were no piles of residual dirt or debris to clean up. Without a doubt, we would use Pinckard Landscape Services again.

Lon , Sandy and his team were wonderful. Both Lon and Sandy were very responsive with any questions that I had and showed up on time when appointments were set. It was so refreshing to see a crew arrive promptly when scheduled and was ready to work. Sandy or Lon would be on site to manage and guide the team in all the different tasks that need to be completed. This was one of the best things since its rare that the owner of the company or trusted employee would be at the work site the whole day monitoring the work being done. Lon's crew finished on time and the quality was great. We had quite a bit of work that was completed which included the following: - Cleaning of all front and back yard beds - transplanting my Cannas - re-sodding the left side of portion of the yard - trimming all bushes and re-designing the layout of the front and back yard beds with existing and new plants - re-mulching - cleaning out my kids kiddie play area and adding new weed liner, sand, and laying the rubber mulch down - trimming live oak tree in front yard We will definitely be calling Lon and his crew back to do the flagstone patio and the pergola.
