I should have known these guys would be a problem when they were continuously late, delayed etc etc. Cabinets were not what I wanted but they said "these are our signature doors, you'll love them after they are painted". Then they didn't deliver on time and I had to keep continuously rescheduling the painters. Opening for a trash compactor was supposed to be 15W and it was 14 1/2. After they installed the cabinets is when they hit me up for additional money for the finishing trim. What a nightmare. It's going to cost me a bundle to fix their "signature" work.
Description of Work: I contracted for $6,200 kitchen cabinet work.

Our west facing window in our kitchen was a an energy disaster - our kitchen was super heated in the summer and frigid in the winter. The Welborns were recommended to us by a friend of my husband. During our initial consultation they made useful suggestions for how to remedy our problem. When we determined to accept their bid, they sourced a good quality window that was well within our budget. On the day of the installation they arrived promptly at 8:30. The process included removing the outside framing and the interior window ledge; this was done carefully so that it all could be reused. Our house was built in 1980, so naturally there had occurred some minor settling that caused the existing opening to be slightly out of whack and taking out the existing window was a bit of a chore. Once it was removed they made the necessary adjustments to the opening so that everything would be square. When installing the new window, they thoroughly sealed and caulked everything, replaced the framing so it looked like nothing had happened, and made some adjustments to the window ledge so it would fit. Before they left, they made sure to clean the area. The entire process took about 5.5 hours. The window looks great and we have noticed a real difference with our kitchen staying cooler in the hot afternoons. We will definitely use the Welborns again for any remodeling projects we have in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced an existing aluminum framed window in the kitchen with an energy star rated window.
