Needed to have a 26KW Briggs and Straton home standby generator installed. After getting a few plumbing quotes Jeff with Thunderbird Plumbing came out on top. His team showed up early and went straight to work despite some rainfall. It was a small workforce there to lay a gas line from the home to the generator. These guys were a digging machine and the entire job was completed in 5 hours. They laid down tarps to capture the soil then carefully cut the sod. They hand dug a 45 foot long, two foot deep trench. They laid the poly pipe, labeled for safety then connected cutoff and pressure controls on each end. Then installed the battery and test ran the generator. Purred like a kitten. They watered in and tamped down the loose soil as they filled the trench. Won't be long until your won't even be able to tell they did anything in the back yard. His team comes highly recommended! Jeff replaced a tankless water heater. He was intelligent, personable, experienced, efficient and did an excellent job. Plus, his price was very fair and much lower than another well rated plumber that I had gotten a bid from. I liked him so much I referred him to family members. I now have a new "go-to" plumber. Knowing you are going to get the job done right and for the right price removes the stress of searching for and getting exorbitant bids.

Jeff took care of our family promptly. He seemed interested in finding the source of our plumbing issues, but not so that he could manufacture more work. His estimate stayed correct through the process even though he fixed a few extra small things.

My water heater went bad on friday around 4:30. I left them a message and they called me back on Monday. Out of the 6-7 plumbers I called on friday; they are one of the three plumbers call me back. The guy comes in around lunch time; told me about the issue and taught me how to get the part as my water heater is still under warranty. Charged me a single job price. I have people gave me a 75% more expensive quote on the labor. This company has a good rating in Yelp also. 
I will recommend people to get a quote from them on any plumbing service.

We are on 100% rain water (external cistern) and during the few cold months in Austin, the incoming water temperature can drop to 50 degrees or less. Our water heater was unable to keep up with peak demand during these months. I noticed that our insulated  mechanical room stays at 75+ degrees year round and figured an uninsulated tank would passively pre-heat the incoming water feeding the water heater. We spoke to several plumbing services and since this wasn't a standard installation, they either declined the business or submitted very high quotes.
Thunderbird Plumbing took the time to understand what the job really entailed and came back with a reasonable quote. The installation was clean and efficiently plumbed. The job took less than anticipated so they actually reduced their fixed price quote - yes, you read that correctly.
The team at Thunderbird were pleasant, positive and very knowledgable.  I highly recommend them.
PS: The tank solution worked perfectly!

Ted is fantastic - professional, friendly, and trustworthy.  I had no qualms about leaving a key and having him do his work during the day when I had to be at work.  Highly recommended!

Ted called back the same day I left a message on his phone.  He was professional and enjoyed explaining everything he was doing.  The water supply valves were completed corroded, and he patiently replaced them.  The washer hookup had a confusing wire hookup that he adjusted until it was exactly right.  He returned several days later to complete the rest of the checklist.  Most impressive was digging up and repairing the shutoff valve for the entire house.  Instead of just replacing the valve, he had a feeling something was off.  He cut part of the pipe out and found that the pipe had been occluded with some type of caulk/concrete mix and some previous plumber had just DRILLED A HOLE THROUGH THE OCCLUSION to supply water to the house.  Ted cut the entire segment out, replaced it, and put in an easily accessible shutoff valve that wouldn't ever get buried again.  Whenever we need plumbing work, Ted will be our go to plumber.

I called on Wednesday morning of Spring Break and had a call back from them no more than 2 hours later. Since I commute the timing was really  important... I explained my situation and threw out Friday as a long shot to see if we could set up an appointment -- and they were able to fit me in... Ted was actually able to get out to me a bit earlier than
planned and that worked out even better!
Ted was great to work with -- very friendly and funny. Very professional, clearly experienced,  and helpful in diagnosing the
problem (I had them out to fix a garbage disposal which turned out to be a clogged pipe) and he gave suggestions on how to avoid it in the future.
Wonderful wonderful wonderful customer service! I'm calling these guys for  plumbing needs in the future for sure and I'm glad that I can give this  company a 5 star review!

He was very prompt, quick to call us back, and quick to do the work.  He looked at the hot water heater and said that it should still be under warranty and we were able to get a new hot water heater and paid him just to install it.  He was very good with the pricing and the quality of the work has been very good.

He was good about explaining the problem and what he'd have to do. He gave me a couple different options for repairing since the was a significant price difference. One would hold for a while depending on use and the other was the correct way for long term. He was willing to do either choice I wanted.

Jeff cleared up the problem in no time and our sink was back in action. He was very responsive and professional.

They are easy to work with, kind, professional. We will use them for any needs in the future. Only reason I gave a B for quality is aesthetically some of their work was awkward... but it's all tucked way behind the toilet or sink and I haven't noticed it again since the day I was looking over their work. Two thumbs up.

Ted is always great at fixing everything. I first met him when an HVAC company botched my gas line. He fixed it. Brought me up to code so I didn't fear the inspection. A young friend of mine needed work of a similar nature and I knew Ted would take care of the problems. He just came out and replaced a hose bib for me, quick and efficient and always friendly and fair!

I discovered after purchasing my condo that my hot water keep cutting out. This was my first property purchase and I was already stressed out. My mother took the panel off of the hot water heater and found that all the plastic parts on the control module had completely melted. It looked and smelled like at some point it had caught fire.

We found Thunderbird Plumbing through Angie's List and decided to try them out.

The repairman (can't remember his name) was on time and very professional. He assessed the module and determined that there was no hope of repairing it (which we had already figured out) and said that it would have to be replaced. He gave us an estimate of $250. My mother thought that this was very reasonable since she (an avid DYI person) did not want to attempt replacing burned out wiring. The repairman had to completely empty the hot water heater (which took awhile) and he told us that there was a lot of calcium build up in there so it was good that he had to empty it anyway. He promptly replaced the control module and cleaned up after himself. He was very pleasant to work with. The cost was exactly what he quoted! No more no less.

We were very happy with the service and would not hesitate to use Thunderbird Plumbing again, Thanks Thunderbird!

They did a great job! They were very professional and did great work. They weren't the easiest to get a hold of but, in the end, they did good work for a great price.

I can't remember the specifics, but I have used them many times for various jobs over a large price range (from leaky hose bib to replacing the hot water heater) and have always been very satisfied.

It went great (other than finding a bigger issue). He answered all my questions and was a real pro. The price, service, and attention were laudable.

Thunderbird (working with Ted) was courteous and did good quick work throughout the process. Ted came out for our estimate to remove the old water heater and replace with a newer unit. Their pricing was competitive, and they also used a Bradford White unit, which is supposedly very good quality and much better and longer lasting than anything from the big box stores. Work was done cleanly, fully, and quickly.

The crew was punctual, polite and professional.
