They sent one guy that didn't have a ladder. He had to use a handheld device with a long extension pole. We have windows that you have to be up on a ladder to clean thoroughly. The price was good for the number of windows we have.

First, they called me soliciting business (even though I am on the Do Not Call list). I listened to their pitch (they were in the neighborhood and had a special of $149 for all the outside windows no matter how many). My windows haven't been cleaned in 5 years and $149 seemed reasonable. I live 30 miles west of Austin, so to get someone to drive out to my house for that price seemed to good to be true. I scheduled them to come out a week later. They were a no show. I called to find out what happened and they said I wasn't on the schedule. Okay, so we rescheduled for a couple of weeks later. I called the day before and they verified I was on the schedule. Waited again the following morning and when they didn't show again, I called and was told they were not able to reach "Dylan". He missed his first appointment and did not return their phone calls. I don't know why I agreed to reschedule, but I did. A couple weeks later, they called to verify my appointment for the following day. A few hours later they called to verify again. They transferred me to the Austin office and I was told, my appointment had not been verified the first time they called. So I played the waiting game again the next day. They were supposed to be out between 8-10 AM. At 10:15 I called to find out what story they had now. First, I was told they needed to reschedule due to the rain-It was a sunny sky outside, they came back with "We thought you were in a different city." The next excuse was the cleaner sat outside my door this morning for 1/2 hour waiting. However, nobody rang the doorbell or knocked. Certainly nobody would drive all the way out to my house and not knock. Ridiculous. I was then told they would send him out again and he was on the way. About 2 PM, "Trey" appeared. I couldn't believe someone actually showed up! Trey was at my house for about 3-4 hours and did a decent job. The window cleaning was done faster than it would've taken me so in that regard it was a good thing. I'm not sure how they stay in business, but somehow they have managed.

I hardly ever use anyone not on Angie's List, but made an exception this time. I received a call from Spotless Window Cleaners earlier this week. They said they were cleaning some of our neighbors windows and had a special while in the area for outside cleaning only. This should have alerted me, but I agreed to have them clean our windows anyway. They set up an appointment for last Thursday (8/18/2011) and failed to show-up (This should also have alerted me, also). I called and they rescheduled for today (8/20/2011). I started checking the windows when they were nearly complete. We have a lot of windows in our house. Every window that had spray from the sprinkler system did not clean. The guys cleaning the windows were real nice but said they could not get windows clean that had hard water spots from the sprinklers. The two guys were not employees of Spotless (as their web site says), they were contractors, but they were very nice. I talked, again with a Spotless Rep and he said he was sorry, but he wasn't licensed to use any chemicals or to scrap windows to get them clean. None of this was disclosed up front even thought their web site says they do. I told Spotless that they should have told me that they couldn't get the windows clean before they started. There was no offer to adjust the price even though their web site says 100% completed satisfaction guarantee. In the past, we have used Pinnacle Window Cleaners with great satisfaction. They were able to get the sprinkler spots off the windows, but they were not available this week. I do not recommend using Spotless Window Cleaners unless your windows are spotless to begin with. This just reconfirms I will not use anyone not on Angie's List.
