Your hinge post on the regular walk through gate was not connected to anything down the line for added structure. We added strength to it by connecting it to next and only available spot. The board that you are calling crooked is that way for a reason. That is holding the gate up right now and is going to keep it from sagging. With out that the gate will be having issues very quickly. You can do the same thing with something called a turnbuckle. This would have cost you an additional 10 to 20 dollars in material cost. You were not there to discuss this so I fixed it with a picket that was already included in the Coupon you already purchased. I did tell your son that the gates are going to continue to sag because they were poorly constructed and we can only do so much with what we are given. I discussed with him everything we did and he seemed ok with what was done. All of these reasons is why it is best to be there when we schedule work for a client. Every client is different and one client would want us to fix it without adding any material cost and the other would want to go the other way.
