They came out the same day and put in a new air conditioning unit the next day. They were really flexible about making the payment in two installments. They did all the work in four hours. They were very pleasant and professional. There was a tiny bit of installation left that they didn't clean up.

From making the appointment, to the actual estimate and through the installation, the staff were professional, knowledgable and courteous. They gave me a fair and accurate estimate along with information on new systems so that I could decide which one I wanted. They told me about things they may encounter during installation and, if those items were encountered, how much they would cost. (Fortunately, none were encountered!) They were on-time and cleaned up after themselves. The staff made sure I understood my choices and also ensured I knew how to work and take care of the system. They helped me with the rebate paperwork as well.

The project went exceedingly well. We appreciated the fact that they handled getting the rebate from the city. Not only have we used this company but my son used him for a very large airconditioning installation, my daughter and another son also have used them, and we all have had an excellent experience.

Eighteen year old a/c was on its last legs. Went with Service Wizard based on bid (lowest of five companies that came to my house) and recommendation from a friend who used them last spring. A/C installation was scheduled for 8:30am on Thursday. Tech called at 8am Thursday morning to let me know that they'd be there at 11am because they had to go back to the house they worked on the day before. Tech showed up promptly at 11am. They were quick, professional, and very tidy. There were a couple of hiccups, though. At 2pm, they were cleaning up and getting ready to leave. I inquired about the duct that needed to be repaired -- tech was unaware that it needed fixing. I took him up in the attic and showed him what needed to be done. He didn't have the material, but he went back to the shop to get the flex duct, quickly returned, and made the repair. I asked for the manual for the new thermostat but they didn't have it; a minor inconvenience that was remedied by downloading it from the Honeywell web site. The weatherstripping/insulation crew showed up on time. As with the a/c installation, this crew was quick, professional, and tidy. They also were packing up and ready to leave when I pointed out to them that they missed an item on their list (weather strip the furnace closet). They quickly corrected the oversight and departed. The next day, in preparation for City of Austin inspector, I reviewed all of the work that was done. I then realized that they had not installed two solar screens. I also discovered that the filter door on the inside unit was warped and allowing unfiltered air to enter the a/c. I called the office and they assured me that the problems would be corrected before the inspection. Both problems were addressed before the inspector arrived. However, the City of Austin inspector pointed out that the breaker for the outside unit was too large (40A vs 30A specified on the outside unit). Fortunately, I had the proper sized breaker and John quickly installed it. The bottom line is that I would use Service Wizard again. The quality of their work overshadowed the oversights during installation. Any problems that I pointed out to the workers were promptly corrected.

It went very well from start to finish

The job went exceptionally well. Everyone arrived when they were supposed to and were very easy to work with. They work very hard to please the customer. The equipment works exceptionally well. It would be next to impossible to do a job of this scope without a few small problems. They came out promptly to fix the minor problems and very definitely stand behind their work. Service Wizard gave me excellent value. I compared their quotes on this work with several other bids and their price was the lowest for for comparable equipment (I couldn't do a job of this scope without other bids even though I wanted to use Service Wizard). If you get comparative bids, make sure you get bids on comparable equipment (including thermostats, media filters. See rating, etc.)

We were very pleased with this company. They responded immediately to our call, they had a friendly attitude and are extremely efficient. The price was a lot lower than other estimates we received. We highly recommend them to others in our area.
