Cleaned after self came on time

Great! The technician responded the same day I called for service. He was punctual, professional and friendly. He located the chronic problem immediately and corrected the problem (clogged drain line that caused the float switch to engage). He found a compressor capacitor that was showing low readings. He provided an immediate quote for the repair and upon my approval immediately replaced the defective component. He performed system checks on both systems. He provided a detailed report of his findings and corrective actions. I will definitely use Precision Heat & Air again. Thanks to Angie's List for recommending the service provider.

All was fine. We had a leak in the coils. Since units were still under manufacturers and builders warranty, we chose to let them do the work.

James provided a detailed commentary on what he was doing and what he found. We just moved into the house and I knew the a/c systems were 16 years old and approaching the end of their useful life. However, with all the expenses associated with moving, I was hoping to delay replacement for a year or so. One of them (there are 3 systems) did not seem to be cooling very well so he checked the freon level (added a small amount) cleaned the condenser fins, measured temperature differentials, etc. We'll probably need to replace all three systems in the next few years and James explained some of the options to consider when we start that process. Overall I was very impressed with James and Precision Heating and A/C, they certainly appear to deserve their Angie's List "A" rating. These are the guys I will call next spring to get information and prices on replacing the old HVAC systems.

very smooth without problems

I had to cancel appointment with Precision. They were due out today, but my air conditioner totally went out Monday afternoon. I called Precision to see if they could come out that night since it was now an emergency. They couldn't fit me in, so I called another company that could come out that night. No need for the tune-up now. I bought a new air conditioner.

He was very professional and friendly. Vacumed the inside unit as requested. On time and will call again.

They were fast, willing to come out on a Sunday evening and called when they said they would.

It turned out OK. My husband primarily dealt with them and was happy with the work.

They did a horrible job. They put the right parts in and everything, but it was incredibly loud. It would wake me up in the middle of the night. I had them come back out about a week and a half or two weeks later, and he said that’s just the way it is. We had another company come out, and he determined they left four loose screws inside the motor which were causing the loud noise.

This company was great to work with. I had a sale of a home pending and needed someone out right away to check on the air conditioning unit (per suggestion of my home inspector). Precision was out there right away, and called me to discuss the findings. I did have to pay extra because I live further than their normal service area, hence I will probably find someone closer next time. Very professional company and I would recommend.

I had a loud noise coming from my air conditioning unit and I called them to take a look at it. They charged me for the service call but the customer service was excellent. I called on a Saturday and left a message to call me back on Monday. The woman that called me back in the morning was super nice. They were able to get a technician to come out that same Monday. The service was prompt and I thought the technician was nice and professional. He was able to diagnose that I just needed a new filter because mine was damaged.

James called within the time frame I was given by the company. He identified himself and immediately got to work checking the thermostat, inside and then headed outside. He came back to tell me the capacitor was the problem, the cost, and to make sure I wanted him to replace the part. By the time he came back inside there was cool air.

My experience was great. They were able to come out the next day to get the job done. They seemed knowledgeable and they came on time for the appointment. They diagnosed the problem quickly.

I had to call back to see if they were still coming out. The service man was nice, he figured out it was the capacitor when the outside fan wouldn't turn on. It took him about 5 minutes to replace the capacitor. It took him longer to fill out all the paper work. He left the box and gave me the old capacitor, a quick look online showed that the part was only five to fifteen dollars. So for 5 minutes worth of work and a 5 dollar part I was charged $300.00, it seems outrageous to me. Especially since that was the price after the discounted through Angie's List diagnosis and 10% off. My mom a week later had the same work done in Miami for $200.00 which I still feel is expensive, this should of been a $100.00 service call including everything in my opinion. What it did was leave a bad taste in my mouth that I won't be using their service again. Yes, they diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly and they were nice and somewhat professional, but how can you trust someone that overcharges by so much?

I wasn’t too happy about that experience. They were prompt in responding and coming out. I just wanted my A/C tuned up before getting into the dead heat of summer. However, I felt that once the tech found out that the unit was 10 years old, all sorts of issues popped up. He basically recommended that I replace the unit. I called another service provider to do another check who said that the A/C still had life. I was disappointed that I wasn't having any problems and he wanted to replace the unit.

Representative from Precision A/C, Derek, responded to my call. He was here within 3 hours of my initial call for assistance. He was courteous and professional and was able to give me an overall assessment of what the issue was with my A/C unit. The motor needed to be replaced, and he informed me that the parts could be ordered and be here the following day. He placed the order and returned today, early afternoon, to replace the A/C motor. He made sure the Freon levels were good, and got my A/C unit working again! I am so grateful for the quick response, and commitment that Derek had to making sure my home was cooled down. I was so afraid that our entire unit would have to be replaced since it is older, however, I was hoping to wait another year before replacing it. I really was impressed that Derek gave me the two options of replacing the motor, or going ahead and getting a new system. I opted for replacing the motor, and he performed this request as we discussed. I will definitely consider using Precision A/C when I am in the market to replace my air conditioning unit next year. Thanks for a great job!

Precision was quick to follow-up and schedule the Big Deal that I purchased for a complete Furnace and AC Tune Up. I had never had the furnace looked at and was excited to see the details about the 26 point inspection. The AC tune up was equally comprehensive with 15 different items they looked at/adjusted. The technician was professional, on-time and gave a detailed quote of some upcoming maintenance I might need in the coming years for a 10+ year old unit. I purchased a Big Deal for each of my units (89 each) and I feel it was a great bargain to have them look at both the furnace and AC on each of my units in my house.

The service was okay, but all they did was looked at the furnace and gave us a quote for a new one. I was not particularly satisfied thought, because my furnace was still broken, which was their take on the situation and they said we would be better off getting a new furnace. I was not satisfied, but I can't say I was satisfied either. I paid them to basically tell me that I had to pay several thousand more dollars to get the problem fixed and that didn't feel to good.

There were very responsive and arrived on time to the appointment. They examined the air conditioner and found that one of the capacitors was having issues. They had the part with them and were able to replace it that same day. They completed the job in under two hours. Everything turned out well.

I contacted them to see about scheduling my one time check of my unit. They told me they were all booked up for one time checks until the end of the month (two weeks away), but would be happy to get someone out today for a service call, but that was not covered under my coupon. I felt very mislead. I am having them come out because they can get here today and it is summer in Texas.

My experience with Precision was very smooth. I dealt with a very responsive scheduler, the sales/service consultant provided me a quick estimate and was responsive to my follow up questions. Once I made my decision to use Precision I was on the schedule within 2 days and the work was completed. The installers worked quickly and were hardly noticed during the process. I would recommend this team.

Since our AC unit is quite new, we didn't have any serious issues. The service call was just for a tune-up and our AC is running great now, especially since we completed some of the DIY solutions ourselves.

While the work was not performed I am glad that Precision Heating & Air called me back to apologize for delay in sending me the proposal and estimate.
