Service person showed up on time and let me know what was wrong, gave me a quote and did the work quickly

did a great job will use again.

Found a small leak but what i don't like is that this check is a lump sum procedure which cost ~$135 for 30 min. of work. always better for a service provider to charge by the procedure instead of by the hour which, invariably, they are able to do in short order.

They performed a quick review of my heating system ... I thought it was really fast, but I have no complaints.

They said my coils needed to be replaced. The cost was excessive

I called Precision before 8 AM today, based on their ranking with Angie's List. I was told a technician would get to me between 8 AM and 12 Noon. At noon I called, and the very helpful lady on the phone apologized, called the technician, and relayed to me the job he was on was taking longer than expected. By 2 PM there was still no word, and I had to cancel another business appointment for 4 PM so I could get someone here to fix my A/C before this evening. On the advice of friends, I contacted another company, they say they'll have someone here between 3 PM and 5 PM, and I cancelled my service call with Precision. While the lady on the phone was unrelentingly polite and sympathetic, I find it a little ludicrous that a large company like theirs couldn't get a technician to my house in a 6 hour period. I understand jobs run long - I also understand that some jobs run short, and another technician could have been sent. The review for the company I now have a call in with will be posted with the appropriate company listing on Angie's List.

They were very good to work with. They came out on time for the appointment. They were able to fix the problem and they did not try to up sell any unnecessary services.

Salesman was prompt and professional. He provided us with 3 options and discussed them in detail. We did not feel pressured to buy and they understood this was a big expense and would be requesting quotes from other companies. On the installation date, James and Nathaniel arrived as scheduled, were very courteous and left their work area spotless when finished. They explained the system and its maintenance. They were very professional.

Went ahead and purchased a service plan from them...they were THAT good! (I have two units, so the price was fair..and I got a nice break on the second unit.)

The service call went fine. The price was "Excellent" because it was a "Groupon" discounted service call. As to "Quality" rating--it was an A/C system inspection from a company I've never done business with before. My "Good" rating was not "Excellent" simply because I've no other experience by which I can evaluate Barrett's service. The service rep, Gino asked me to come out to look at what he'd found; namely, our A/C unit was drawing more amperage than recommended. He showed me amperage reading and explained what the recommended draw was and our unit was, according his information and measuring device, clearly drawing more amps. He also noted that our unit was old and would only be "legal" until 2020: i.e. the date when the unit's freon could be replaced). Gino recommended we replace the capacitor and "something else" which would cost about $620. Never having used Barrett and that our A/C was operating just fine led me to decline any "repair" for the time being. I will seek a friend's recommendation (as we're new to Austin) of an A/C Service and get a second opinion.

Saul is very professional and this was the second time in just over 1 year I had him out to my house. In july, 2013 we needed to replace a coil in one of our units. This time my pvc pipe was a little clogged causing the unit to shut off for safety reasons. Saul is very thorough and patient. He listened to all my questions and then gave great explanations! He made sure I understood how my system works from the inside units---to the attic units---to programming my many thermostats! I highly recommend him and won't hesitate to request him to come out again should I encounter any AC problems. Bonus for the most recent visit was I purchased the diagnostic fee on Angie's list website and was able to save $$$$!!!!

robert - the technician - was great fixed everything in 15 minutes even gave me a few pointers about AC maintenance we will definitely be using them again

They are very prompt, curtious, and professional. They come out every six months to maintain my heating/ac unit. I have also, just recently called them to repair my ac unit. I have been very pleased with their service and would recommend them to others.

there was a hitch in scheduling. First appt didn't happen because someone didn't call the phone number I gave to use. Second try went fine.

I purchased the inspection voucher from Angie's List but didn't get to use it because I ended up needing a repair. The technician efficiently located the problem and took care of it. The voucher was then applied to the total repair cost.

The service call resulted in what we expected after several yrs of a failing HVAC system. We needed a new one for our 14 yr old house. Salesman was very patient and spent a good hour answering our questions and came back with three separate quotes when we were confused by all the alternatives. Spent lots of time again explaining all the alternatives with a final recommendation that fit our needs. Crew arrived on time and worked hard and steady on a very hot day to complete the installation. They were competent, polite, and as quiet as one could expect given the job. After installation spent a good deal of time explaining how to set and change the system both upstairs and down. After they left we noticed the upstairs unit was quite loud when running so I called them about it. They sent a technician out and he said the original vent space in the hall was close to the unit up in the attic and they would add another return vent in the office off the hall to mitigate the noise at no cost. They did and it helped some but didn't completely solve the issue. The tech said it 'substantially' reduced the noise level but given the old original unit made no audible whistle or noise at all for all the yrs we've been here I wasn't all that thrilled with the solution given the money spent and the supposed excellence of the Carrier product. But there isn't much we can do about it and it is liveable even if not perfect. The efficiency of the unit is much much better than the old system. Although July and August were definitely cooler this year our two month savings vis a vis last year was between $100-$150 each month vs LY. So it will pay for itself in about 12 yrs! :) If it wasn't for the low level noise upstairs (and we're not up there all that often) Precision would get an A+ from us.

It was okay. The technician was very frank and truthful. They got the job done in about one hour. The scheduling was fine and I had no issues.

The got the job done over 2-3 days. The cleanup was good. The scheduling was easy.

Robert came on time and performed the requested service. it did it professionally but he also explained the condition of the units and gave me some pearls for good maintenance

The tech was on time, and friendly. They were very honest with us about the cost of fixing the units outweighing the benefits, and suggested we replace them all together. Nonetheless, they wrote up a detailed report and estimate for fixing them. Not sure it was worth paying for this, as other companies came out, as well, and gave us a similar service for free. We didn't end up buying the house, so no further service was needed at the time.

They sent a technician called Chris. He was supposed to do a full service and check up which included cleaning out the water lines of any blockages. He only partially did that but did not check the ends of the lines for blockages. Came to find out later one was blocked. Did not do that. His work caused water to back up and then leak in the attic where one unit was located, above my master closet. The water dripped for days onto the ceiling of my master closet after the service without my realizing. He came on a Thursday. The ceiling collapsed on the following Tuesday. The service manager was very rude when I called to complain and demanded full reparation. Said that it might not have been his colleague's fault and tried not to accept responsibility. Eventually I was put through to the owner who was right on track. Right away he admitted it sounded like it was his company's fault. He would need to send his top guy to come and check and fix whatever he could and report back to him. After that visit, the owner admitted liability and had a very professional different firm come and fix the ceiling, replace lights that were damaged when the ceiling collapsed. They took out carpet underlay and replaced that. Carpet got wet but was not stained so after it was dry put that back in. Not happy with initial technician's terribly bad service. Service manager has terrible customer service manners and left bad taste in mouth. For these two reasons they get an F, even though owner and his top technician (who said he was leaving the company) were great. The top guys may be great but the service manager and the initial technician that was sent mean I can not trust this company and will not use them in future. For this reason they get an F.

Everything went very smoothly. The techs, Mando and Sergio, knew what they were doing, were professional, personable and worked continuously. They put mats down on the carpeting so as not to make a mess, cleaned up any left over parts and debris, put things back to where they were before they had needed to move them and were careful not to scratch or mar anything in the house. Explained the papers that I signed at the end of the installation and dealt with rebates in detail. Explained the system and the thermostat. I would most certainly use them again if I needed service. Now I have a service contract with them.

The technicians were here when they said they would be. They were very professional. Answered all our questions, showed/told us tips on maintaining the new units.The original service call was done during the week late at night. Gave us several options on how to fix the problem. We decided to just replace the old furnace/ac since it was 20 yrs. old. The told us it would take approx. 6 hrs to finish the job but they finished in about 4 1/2. They cleaned up everything when they were finished. Great guys!

Our A/C began blowing hot air at 8:30 PM on a Sunday. We call precision right away b/c of the great reviews on Angies List. They called back within 60 minutes, and scheduled an appointment between 8:00 and 10:00 AM the next day. Robert called me at 8:30 AM, with an estimated 9:00 AM arrival time at our house. He diagnosed the problem quickly (malfunctioning capactior caused the fan motor to spin backwards), fixed it, and was gone by 9:30. Incredible service, very professional.

Dale who I spoke w/ on phone was awesome! She had to explain to me that they may have to do a diagnostic before adding freon to system. To make sure I wasn't paying for a particular service that would not be needed, she offered to send me an email to show technician of what we discussed b4 going forward. My tech Derrick read email first and said he would proceed with diagnosis first before I bought coupon on Angie's list. We have a brand new (4 yr old now) Lennox zone sys that has been having issues staying cool and freezing up from week two of moving in. Brand new house brand new AC unit installed by Casa Masa. All in all our tech was able to tell us that the AC unit was installed incorrectly from the start. One: the system is designed to go up in attic horizontally with a bi pass in place versus the way we have it hooked in which is vertical w/o a bi pass. Second,the freon was low and is not being dispersed properly. I need to have TXU replaced which will be $836 . That'll be later
