Lone Star Air Cond & Heating

When Mike initially visited to give a quote, my A/C was working but poorly.  Before providing the quote, he initiated a conversation about what I wanted most (which was mainly a quiet outdoor unit).  He stated that although most businesses encourage people to buy the same brand for indoor & outdoor, that he mixed and matched all the time when appropriate.  Also that he could provide a quieter outdoor unit that was not the same brand as my indoor one. 
His quote was the lowest one I received.  I decided to go for replacing the outdoor unit alone.  Then the next day when my A/C went out completely and I was desperate (it was the beginning of 100 degree days in Austin).  I called him up and he agreed to fit me that evening; I realized it was after a full day of work for him. My new outdoor unit has been working well since then.  Early the next week he dropped by to install a sound-reducing blanket on the outdoor compressor to make it even more quiet, free of charge.
I highly recommend him, both for value and for fitting me in at the last moment, during an extremely busy time of year for him.

We purchase a whole house deal for $149. They arrived on time, did their work efficiently, and we were very satisfied.

The first AC guy that came out charged me $100 to look at my unit and quoted me $4500 to replace it. I called Lone Star, and they came out the next day, didn't charge me *anything* to look at the unit and quoted me $1950 to replace it. So I went with Lone Star.
I like Lone Star because they are very personal and professional. He answered all my questions (what went wrong with the original one, what would be necessary to replace it), he even called me back on the weekends! Then, he took the time to explain the difference between the types of units, but didn't pressure me to make a decision. When he took out the old unit, he made sure to show me what went wrong with it. He also upgraded the installation (improved connectors, stand-offs for the unit on the pad, etc.)

Everything goes smoothly with this company.

Did a wonderful job. Fixed things that had been done wrong. Provided service at a very reasonable cost (about 2000) less than others. Put in a Rhuud unit, which we choose based on cost. I would recommend going with another brand and this one has a hard start that is pretty noisy. Lone Star submitted our City of Austin rebate for us. It was a good experience to work with this company.

We have known Michael Lucky, the owner of Lone Star Air Conditioning and Heating, for almost 20 years. He has maintained, repaired and replaced two air conditioners and furnaces for us: one in our former home and the other in our current home. He has always done excellent work for a very reasonable price. He has always been very accommodating to our schedules and the weather, performing his work so as to avoid temperatures in the teens and 100+. Everything was cleaned up thoroughly when the work was completed, and any trash or boxes were removed each day. We will continue to use Lone Star as needed and highly recommend him for members of Angie's List.

Everything went as planned and on schedule. They worked with me so I could submit the paperwork for rebates from the city and the state.

We were very satisfied. He was a very straightforward guy. He was prompt. The quality of his workmanship was very good. The price was very reasonable. There were no surprises and he got the work done.

They really helped us out and are very understanding. I really enjoy the working with the people at lone star. I have already recommended lone star to my neighbor. They do good work and I would recommend them to others.

We thought that they did a very thorough job of checking out our systems before we moved in. They gave us a price quote and stuck to it. I am really not sure what they all did to them however what they did work.
