La-Z-Boy's slogan should be "BOY, are we LAZY!" We bought furniture in Aug 06; the reclining sofa was broken from the beginning - gap between seats and tilted on the left side. We complained within a few months as it got worse; they insisted on pictures before sending anyone, then the first guy just took more pics. The second guy worked on it, but within days same problems. The third guy said the second guy ordered our part but left it sitting in the warehouse & just pretended to fix the sofa! Then they wanted to take the sofa in to their shop, 1 year after we bought it and countless hours back and forth trying to get results. By then, sofa was badly broken. They never voluntarily called me to update me, never showed up when promised. After complaining to HQ, they finally gave a full store credit. Our new sofa was supposed to be in last week; as usual, they never called me to tell me when it was in or to schedule delivery; and then scheduled it for the only time I wasn't available.

It was terrible. We invested our time in choosing everything to custom order our sofa. The sales person had been eating corn nuts and her breath was obnoxious. She was also vague whenever we asked about prices. She would dodge the question or give us a confusing answer. We persevered, however, and picked out everything, including a fabric after she had us look at 100s of choices. This took two trips to the store over two weekends. Then, when she began to place our order, she found out that the sofa we had chosen (after she directed us away from a couple of others and specifically to this model) was discontinued. To her credit, she was dismayed, but she also said that it had been discontinued over a month before. She should have known that, yes? She suggested we go to another store down the road.
