We started with Angie's list, looking up one realtor who had very high remarks from the same broker - Realty Austin. That person did not have deep experience with North austin areas, so she referred us to Jackie and a few days later we had Jackie in our home for an interview.
The first thing you will notice about Jackie, is that she is whip-smart and results oriented. Rather than us talking in circles about what color to paint the walls, she had concrete solutions to the real problems we faced. She is extremely knowledgeable, communicates well and gets right down to business, formulating a game plan that we could all get behind. I consider the following advantages to having Jackie and the Realty Austin team help sell our home.
(1) Best marketing in the business. Want your house to stand out from the others? Realty Austin includes at no additional cost a professional photo shoot which made our house look unbelievable. I literally could not believe it was our house in the pictures! The ones that are showing as "Featured" on the Realty Austin website are those listed by Realty Austin. Its the most popular website for real estate searches!
(2) Professional. Jackie makes you feel like a value customer, speaks to you with respect, is patient in explaining advanced real estate concepts and does a great job of representing herself, her customers, and her broker in all situations. She is just as professional at your kitchen table as I imagine she would be at a board room full of executives. She is knowledgeable, articulate, and polished.
(3) Punctual. Jackie makes appointments and keeps them. She was very flexible with our schedule and met with us on several occasions on short notice. If the stress of selling home weren't enough, this is such a huge blessing when juggling work, kids, and everything else involved.
(4) Good at setting expectations. Sometimes the best way to avoid disappointment is to not have your realtor tell you what you want to hear. Jackie was careful to set expectations properly and this helped us to be prepared for any risks. She has a great "radar" and will alert you when there is something needing your attention. She also has a team of specialists to help with such things as the listing, closing, etc -- they are in the "bullpen" ready to go to work when needed.
(5) Amazing results. Our original game plan was to list the house in April and have it under contract by May. We were able to move our schedule up to list the house on March 6th, we had 3 offers above our original asking price within 24 hours, and we moved forward with a fantastic buyer who exceeded all of our expectations. It only took us 4 weeks to close, and all thanks to Jackie's diligence, friendly reminders, and having a great game plan!
