I thought they were extremely good.  I've had them back, and they've always been very good.  They are not what I'd call the cheapest, but I've never had a problem with any of the work they've ever done.  They're prompt, efficient, and they clean up after themselves. The other thing they have, which is helpful, everyone in their crew will speak enough English, so it's always nice to be able to communicate. 

I would definitely recommend them, and I would have them back if I needed them.

We gathered bids from several roofing companies and J-Conn was prompt to provide a thorough bid.  They followed up with more information and even mailed a packet of roofing information even though we had not made our choice yet.  We have used the information they send including photos of our roof - the only company to do that.  I would feel comfortable using them and would recommend them.

Excellent.  A service tech was sent to the house and sorely after received a very detailed written estimate with pictures of the problem areas.  Also included in the package was a list of references and insurance information.  A date was set-up and the repairs were performed as scheduled.  The whole experience was excellent.  Very professional from start to finish.  Thought the price was a little high, but not aware of cost of doing this type of repair, so may well be in line.  I would recommend this company and use them again if needed.

They were a little higher than another company; I have not got the work done yet but they were almost double the price.  

Everything was fine except they said they would do something in the attic and they didn't do it.  They were supposed to redirect an air conditioning duct for me.  Their price was reasonable.   I will continue to use their services in the future.

JConn office staff and crew were professional and performed a quality repair for a fair price.  They did not produce the cheapest bid but I selected them for their quality of work and I will likely continue to use them and recommend them to others.

We used J-Conn Roofing & Repair Service couple of weeks ago for roofing.

We were happy with their work. They did a great job. We had hail damage from a few years back, and they did a good job of fixing those issues. They also contacted us and made sure of the color of the shingles and everything like that. They were very professional.

The appraiser was very good, he even caught things that other appraisers didn't catch. Workwise, they were a little slow, it took them all days to do my roof (9AM-9PM). There were only 3-4 guys working. I would have liked to have them in and out a little more quickly. I found a couple of things after cleanup but nothing major. The ridgevent does make the attic a little cooler.

Shingles were delivered just before we got all the rain this summer, so the start date was delayed by ~3 weeks, but this was reasonable given the weather. Contractor took great care not to start the job if there was a likely possibility of rain - thank you. Roofing crew (~5 guys) arrived ~9:00am on the agreed date and went straight to work. The crew was very careful not to drop anything when it was necessary for anyone to leave or enter the house - we were careful, too. OK, I'll admit that I did go out and check to see if they were cutting corners anywhere cuz that's the kind of guy I am. I even sat in my office counting pops from the nail gun to make sure they were using the right number of nails per shingle. They only took 3 or 4 breaks all day, one of those was for lunch. The roof was finished after 8pm and they did a reasonably good job of cleaning up all of the big debris and almost all of the small stuff. The sales/tech guy came by the next day to double-check the work and make sure there were no potential leaks. I pointed out one concern I had regarding a rain divert-er that the crew had re-used which appeared, from the ground, to have a low spot which could hold water and he corrected the issue while he was there. I don't know that there actually was an issue, but he made me feel like I was heard and did what he could to make me happy. The sales/tech guy asked if he could leave their sign in the yard for a week and told me he would come by and pick it up. It was gone a week later. Some of my neighbors still have signs from their roofing contractors propped against the side of their garage months after their roofing jobs were completed by other contractors. I did continue to find nails in the yard every time I looked for the next several days, but I don't think that is unreasonable, and I discovered a pile of granules from the old roof that weren't swept off one window sill ~8 feet off the ground, but my biggest complaint about the whole job was that while using a blower to blow granules off the back patio they actually blew granules into the kitchen, under the sliding door. Not really that big of a deal. The bottom line: I'm very happy with the work and I would use J-Conn again, even though they were not the lowest bid. Just FYI: I had four bids ranging from $7K to $10K.

Contacting the company is a pleasure. An informed representative answers the phone and takes down the initial information. From there, you can tell that each person you speak with is experienced, polite and professional. The company was very responsive to my inquiries and even patient with any changes I made. Their price was unbeatable and their attentiveness to detail was surprising. They started this major job one day and were done by the end of the second day... amazing in itself. The completed job exceeded my expectations and looks fantastic. The company did a thorough cleaning of the grounds surrounding the property in addition to contacting me after the job was done to assure all my expectations were met. It just doesn't get any better than that. Highly recommended.

We had three other estimates and J-Conn Roofing was by far the most professional company to deal with. The work was great and their clean up was perfect. I've known Jon Connor since 1981, when I first used his company JConn for a roofing job; in all, I've used them no less than 5 times, on roofing for 3 different homes over the years (three full roofs, and two repair jobs (prior, not subsequent ;) ) He is honest, good to work with, and devoted to good quality. The when I had hail damage, he was very busy but I didn't feel lost in the shuffle. He was knowledgeable about the insurance issues and worked well with the insurance company. JConn is not the cheapest roofing company in town but I think the value-for-money is first rate because of the quality of their work.

I called for a reroof estimate due to hail damage. I received an estimate within two days. They did a very professional Job. They guided us on dealing with our insurance. The crew was clean cut and polite.

From start to finish, J-Conn did an excellent job. Everything from the bid process to the final inspection was prompt & professional. I highly recommend J-Conn Roofing.

They came by as promised and then were very quick to mail a professional estimate which included references and their company insurance info. I was impressed with the professionalism and would give them a good reccomendation based on first impressions.

I had a lot of concerns with the paper work of the insurance company, so I called J-Conn. They looked at it and deciphered it for me. The lady at J-Conn called me back after she found the mistakes done by the insurance company, which resulted in me getting a little bit more money. They were good about taking the time to make sure that I got the right shingles. When they came out, they were very careful about not making a mess. There are a lot of nails and shingles that come off the roof, so they parked the trailer close by. They got everything in to the trailer. Everything went very well, so I was pretty impressed and happy with their work. They were several notches above other service providers.

I called and specifically asked if they did metal roofs. They sent a person out the next day. He was nice but seemed a little confused and not interested in taking on our large metal roof. He again confirmed that they did metal roofs and he would be sending me an estimate. No estimate and then I get a phone message from them that they "don't do metal roofs" and gave me the number of some other company they recommended. I do not like to be lied to! If they didn't want to do the job because it was too big, etc. they should have told me the real reason so I could at least have something to go to the insurance adjuster with! Very unprofessional, disappointing and my first bad experience with a company on Angie's list.

I requested a bid from them from their web site, and I never heard back from them. Ever. So much for J-Conn... ~sigh~

They were on-time and stayed on budget; however, they butchered the area where they were working. Because some flashing was damaged, they removed siding from a very small area, replaced the flashing, and put the boards back in place. The boards were badly damaged and look horrible. The decking still looks warped. When I talked to the owner, he basically said that they did nothing wrong and that it was my responsibility to repair the siding in that area. I sent him detailed pictures of the damaged area and he continued to claim no responsibility. Granted the roof doesn't leak anymore but I would have expected at least a little courtesy since they did visible damage. I would never use them again.
