Hutchins Garage Doors

Called me ahead of time to let me know when they would arrive.  They arrived when they said they would and got the work done promptly.

It went fine. They were very good. I appreciate it. It it was better than the one before. It was much smoother and quieter and worked more efficiently.

This was a great deal - I was very pleased with the work provided.  When I asked questions he answered from his obvious wealth of expertise and experience; when I asked for him to walk me though the proper procedures for maintaining my garage door rollers, he readily agreed.  He was quite professional and friendly.

the job went well, in general.  the only problem was that the installer didn't know that the keypad he was installing only could open one door, and not both.  He did tell me that when he found out and gave me the option to have him stop, but I went ahead and let him finish the work.

The down side was the confusion about arrival time.  However, after that
everything really went great.  I have a very old garage door that had
many more rollers to be changed than what the newer doors require.  Who
knew there was a difference?
The tech called the office, sent pictures to show the unusual aspect of
my door, got permission to install the extra rollers, did a good job and
was apologetic about the late arrival. I am pleased with the work.

The service man came on time , exchanged the old worn out rollers with new ones and oiled it's roller tracks. The service itself did not take very long, maybe 20 Minutes.  The garage door has a much more quiet sound now when in operation,  opening and closing it.

Matt came out on time and walked me through everything that was going to be performed.  The work was done with good quality and Matt also replaced the bottom seals on both of our garage doors as one was beginning to stick.
Matt left his contact information and I needed to call him a few days later for some minor tweaks and he came out quickly to address the items that needed correcting.  My experience was great and I will call in the future for any garage door needs.

Very good.  Could have pushed for doing more service on the second door, but said it didn't need it.

I bought the deal for new rollers and maintenance on my garage door which turned out not to be a deal at all.  Because I did not need rollers, I could have paid $49 instead of $87.
I thought he did a good job for what he did (20-30min) and have used this company and will use this company in the future.
They scheduled me the next day and came out exactly when they said the would.  They were punctual and considerate.
I just think you have to do your homework and call the company before you purchase and angie's deal to make sure you need or
can use the offer.

Garage door was 17 yrs. old.  The original comes with plastic rollers and eventually wears out. The main overhead spring which holds up and moves the door was worn out, too. The tech replaced all the plastic rollers with metal ball-bearing rollers and the main spring and inspected  and adjusted the door to close properly. He gave me the Angie's list discount and I was very happy with the whole process. I admit the cost was a little more than I expected---but still less than replacing the entire garage door!

The entire experience went very well. I called Rick at Hutchins Garage Doors to schedule the garage door tune-up service for our 2 garage doors. They were running a deal of $39 for each garage door tune-up. Their technician Anthony came out the next day and did a wonderful job. We just purchased the house and noticed that the garage doors weren't opening and closing properly and were jerky in their movements. That is no longer the case. 
In the course of calling around for quotes, I found out that Hutchins Garage Doors is owned by Cedar Park Overhead Doors. Though Cedar Park Overheard Doors was also running ads for services, their advertised prices were a bit higher, so I went with Hutchins.

I will recommend it to family and friends.  My contractor was credible and knowledgeable.

This company has actually been purchased by Cedar Park Overhead Garage Doors. I called on a Monday morning and someone was out to my house within 2 hours, and the replacement of the springs was done in 30 minutes. Rusty also did a "tune-up" and informed me about the warranties. Said I was in good shape for a long time to come. Couldn't be happier with service, performance, quality and professionalism. The coupon on Angie's List is actually better for Hutchins Garage Doors than for Cedar Park Overhead Doors, 10% off all parts (not labor). Highly recommend them!

This modifies and nullifies my report submitted yesterday.  Ted, the service technician called at 8am today (Saturday) to apologize for inconveniencing me on Friday, July 22nd.  Indicated he would come today and perform the requested service this morning.  Though I was still disappointed from the lack of communication on Friday, I realized it was a one time aberration in this companies otherwise excellent performance ratings by other customers. Ted arrived promptly as he indicated, apologized sincerely for his/the company's failure to communicate effectively. I appreciated his sincerity and he began his assessment of the garage doors.  Although the doors were installed in the home during construction only 3 years ago, there were a number of issues that he quickly identified and corrected.  He explained the issues and his corrective measures, even to the point of replacing track mounting screws that were of the incorrect length and loose allowing the track to move excessively during opening and closing operations. Ted documented all the work performed and even reduced the service charge to compensate for the previous days inconvenience. I will use this company again for routine or other types of service.  They/Ted restored my faith in the companies willing to do the right thing to be the king of company people want to do business with.  Thanks to Ted, Hutchins Garage Doors received my revised rating of A on all counts. For anyone viewing Hutchins Garage Doors for possible service call, please disregard my negative report dated 7/22/11. Angie's list has my permission to remove that report if it is permitted to do so.

They were out within 3 hours of my call.  They looked it over and suggested a new door, but I declined.  So, they worked for about 2 hours, and got the old one back to working.

Couldn't be happier with the service we received from Hutchins Garage Doors.  I called for an appointment and spoke with a professional, pleasant gentleman who scheduled us for the very next day.  In addition to giving me an estimate (which was extremely accurate) he also suggested that we replace the singular spring with two springs so if (I've learned it'll be when) the spring lets go again someday we'll at least be able to open the door manually until we are able to have it repaired.  He explained the cost difference was minimal ($40) so we went with his suggestion.

Derek arrived the next morning, he was knowledgable, professional and very good at his job, he was finished in under an hour. He also repaired a broken garage door cable and the trolley as some of the teeth had been stripped when the door came crashing down once the spring broke.

All in all, extremely pleased with Hutchins Garage Door, would recommend them without hesitation and will call them again if ever necessary.
