I originally bought porceline tile from them. It was reasonably priced. Frankly, I found deals as good elsewhere. But, I liked a particular tile I found there. Everything seemed fine until we got part way through the job and we started opening boxes that were a different color. So, I took the wrong colored boxes back. They said they had somehow got mixed together. Ok, things happen. No bid deal. But, then they realized they were out of the color I had purchased. They told me they would find it and order it.
I heard nothing from them. After a couple weeks I called them back. That seemed to create action. They found it within a day or so. A couple more weeks passed before I got a phone call saying it was there. Well, by that time my installer was busy on another job. One thing lead to another between him being busy and me being busy. A few months passed and I went to pick it up. They informed me that there was this huge storage fee because it had been sitting there. I explained to them what had happened. Nothing. I explained again saying that originally I had picked it out and taken it home that same day. It was only sitting there because they gave me the wrong thing and then took over a month to replace it. They didn't care. They wanted a several hundred dollar storage fee despite the entire problem stemming from their screw up. Plus, they didn't even have it anymore. It had been shipped somewhere else.
So, I left p*****. Now, I had a bathroom to finish and a kitchen that still needed to be done. Problem was, I couldn't even find matching tile for the bathroom that was 80% done.
I decided my only option was to start over in the bathroom and just find a different tile for the kitchen. I decided I really wanted travertine in the kitchen. So, I started shopping. While I found other places were as cheap or cheaper on tile, travertine was clearly cheaper there. I just couldn't go buy it there. But, I couldn't justify paying way more elsewhere either. So, I went there, bought what I wanted, bought plenty of extra, inspected every box to make sure it was right.
I had it installed and it is wonderful. I then returned the extra and that went smoothly. Overall, the second time around everything went smoothly. I had an unbelievable slow and incompetent guy I had to wait on to bring it out to load. But, that could happen a lot of places.
When it asked me if I would use this company again, I originally put no. Then I realized I had used them again after the first experience. So, I guess the answer is only if I couldn't find it for the same or close to the same price somewhere else.
"This customer was provided the opportunity to have an alternate floor installed. The installers had installed approximately 200 square feet of material when the customer decided she did not like the way the floor looked. We offered to remove the flooring that had been installed and allow the customer to select an alternate product at no additional charge to the customer. After visiting the store and looking at her options, she decided to continue with the existing installation, which was completed. ONLY after the install was complete did she again contact us with her "issue". The customer was able to see what this floor looked like prior to the installation being performed. While we would have had no issue with a refund or exchange at the initial stop point, we feel that since the customer allowed the project to continue that she accepted the material. We did offer the customer a discount on this material, as well as on a replacement floor if she so opted. Thank you for the opportunity to respond."
