They were a no-show. I had an appointment for 9:30 in the morning. No one from Duhon Electric showed up, or even called or emailed to let me know they had to cancel. They also did not respond to voice mails or texts asking if they were running late. I have used Duhon in the past and they did a good job, even though they were frustratingly hard to get ahold of to schedule service. This time, they were still hard to get ahold of, and then didn't even show up for the service appointment, leaving me to scramble to find another electrician at the last minute. This is highly unprofessional and I certainly can't recommend them.

Since the damage exceeded my insurance deductible, I called State Farm and made a claim. When the Insurance Adjuster called and made an appointment to come assess the damage, I let William Duhon know. William came to the house while the Adjuster was there and started the repair after the Adjuster finished around 1 pm. William's repairs brought my electrical service entrance up to current local codes. As he was getting close to finishing the job, he called for a city inspector to come out. The inspector came promptly. The job passed inspection. The inspector called for a service reconnect and by 5:30 pm our home once again had power. Total cost $3386 including permit and inspection. William and his assistant did an outstanding job. Duhon Electric is the company that I will depend upon for all my future electrician service.

We did a quick walk-through of the work to be done at the beginning of the day to make sure we were on the same page. Damien and his apprentice did the work quickly, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to our family. The work was done exactly as I wanted, and Damien even added a photocell to the Christmas light outlets so that I wouldn't have to use a separate plug-in timer. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves when they were done as well. The mini-split HVAC went in today without a hitch! Overall, I'm incredibly pleased with the work Damien and his team did! It was a little tough to get on their busy calendar, but it was worth the wait to have the job done perfectly. I'll absolutely be hiring Duhon Electric again if I need work done in the future!

Great, William did a really neat and tidy job. He seemed like a down to earth kind of guy too. I will definitely use him again should the need arise.

We were given a window of time when someone was supposed to come by. No one came or even called. We got a call the following day to reschedule but we had no availability that week. I reached out again the following week and while I was calling I got a text from the same number saying they were on a call but would call me back. An hour goes by and I still never heard anything. There were a few other back and forth phone calls and emails, basically this company seems disorganized and we are moving forward. It's been three weeks and still no progress.

It did not. I called as well as sent a message through the provider's website. After several days I've gotten no response.

He resolved exactly what I needed, and the job was done well.

I simply wanted lights to be installed to my kitchen.simple job! Punch holes into the ceiling and install the new lights. The day before the appointment made, i called to add a simple job (moving an outlet) and go thru what was going to be done. After going thru the job details, he began to explain he forgot to explain its more of a job and should of made this appointment time in the morning to give more time...all that he would be doing is the job i just added on and then giving me an estimate for the kitchen lights! After trying to get a appointment with in late November, early December and him changing the dates. I refuse to give him this job, he clearly doesnt want it nor deserves. Such disappointment,and was unprofessional.

Update: William called me in reaction to this review and was trying to explain why things happened the way it did. Im still in disagreement with the ways things went, From my understanding and point of view the job was quiet simple and had exchanged several emails and a few phones calls explaining what i wanted. He was not comfortable doing the job on the spot with out and estimate, which i can understand. The frustrating thing was that it was not explained that we would only be doing just an estimate. So after finally getting an appointment and then hearing he wouldnt be able to do the job that day,i was done trying to work with him on communication and time. I wanted the job done month ago and it wasnt gonna happen with him.

I had been back and forth trying to understand what was going wrong with my garbage disposal.  He explicitly wanted to make sure I avoid an unnecessary service call and proceeded to take me through some tests.  Between his guidance over the phone and my past attempts to fix things, he was able to diagnose my problem and avoid a service call.  It was as if he was a very good customer service tech for my house. 
For me, this shows high integrity and felt it warranted mention as a good review. 

They were exactly what we were looking for. I was a t work when they did the job but it was good.

Lost electric service during the thunderstorm Monday night. Austin Energy restored power to the neighborhood late Tuesday afternoon, but the main AC breaker in my electrical panel was in the off position and would not switch into the on position. I did my research on Angie's List and selected Duhon Electric. I called Duhon early Wednesday morning and left a voice message. William returned my call, and I explained the situation. He said that the main breaker probably failed and requested that I take a photo of it so that he could determine whether he could get a replacement. I took a photo of it and emailed it to him. He called back and told me that he could get the part and would be able to come to my house in the late afternoon and replace the part. He arrived at 5 pm, replaced the breaker, tightened down all screws on the wiring in the panel and tested the connections. My power was back on.  He did an excellent job, and I will use Duhon Electric for any future electrical work.

I asked Mr. Duhon to check my breaker for a bathroom that had a problem with the lights flickering & going out.  He arrived as scheduled; initial testing did not show a defective breaker & light came back on. He charged only a reduced service call fee.  Light failed again later that day. Mr. Duhon returned the next afternoon, installed new breaker and installed a new light fixture that I had purchased.  Light works now. Duhon charged only for the cost of the breaker that he bought, not for the return service call.  Service was prompt, professional and very reasonable.  I will definitely call him again.

I called Duhon Electric about 10:00 a.m. and was told they might not be able to work me in that day because they were booked. However, within about an hour they called back and said they could make the service call immediately.  When the electrician arrived - one of the Duhon brothers - he quickly figured out that the entire circuit was dead because a single wire was loose in one of my outlets.  He reconnected the wire and was done within minutes.  I will definitely use Duhon again if need arises.
