It went great!

These guys were recommended on our neighborhood bulletin board. We looked at yard they do. They look very good. I contacted them and said I wanted a bid. Never heard back from them. Called again two weeks later on a different phone. They answered and said they had gotten my first request but they don't have any slots and so they didn't call me back. :-/

Owner bid the job then his crew did as promised. Good work.

Initially they did lawn work. On their last visit I spent about $2,000. I will use this company in the future.

They show up every oter Monday without fail, usually in the afternoon. There is a crew of two or three men, who do their work quickly and thoroughly. I don't have to call to remind them, and they know exactly what do towhen they get here. I am billed once a month.

We solicited bids from three landscape companies and chose Drake over the others. Mr. Drake to our needs and provided the exact solution we wanted. The other providers were certain we needed longer projects that began with a landscape designer and then two separate teams. Mr. Drake understood we need a clean-up and make-over, but not a redesign. Along the way, he clearly demonstrated his enthusiasm for and expertise in things that grow. I'm going to call him for my rental property.

Our yard was COMPLETELY transformed! All of the work was performed on time (some even ahead of schedule), and the crew did a completely professional job. Dan even made a second trip out within 24 hours when we determined we needed an additional bed planted (after removal of ugly bushes left a large "footprint" in the yard). I was extremely impressed with Dan and his crew, from the first visit to the finished product. I would recommend Drake Landscaping to anyone looking to get the most out of their landscaping dollar.

Dan's crew is exceptional. They are efficient and competent and cheerful. I have used Drake before so I did not need to be there checking on things because I knew it would be handled. Every detail was taken care of as promised and then they cleaned up perfectly including hauling off a huge trailer full of brush. They made a major difference in my landscape and we are very happy with the result. Dan know his stuff and is easy to work with.

His crew was very professional and left our property looking great. We had several groupings of oaks and two very large oaks that needed attention. They looked absolutely beautiful and healthy when the work was completed. We appreciate that Dan knows when it is safe to trim the trees and he also walks our property and helps identify unknown trees/plants. We will always go back to Drake Landscape.

Terrific job. Dan promised us the mulch would not wash away. We had some downpours and he was right. The mulch is staying put and no more muddy paws running into the house! We also use Drake Landsacpe to trim all our trees. They are well trained and do a fantastic job.

I was pleased to be able to contact Mr. Drake via e-mail. He came by to check out the size of my lawn and we agreed on a first time fee (my grass was rather long) of $45.00, followed by an every-two-weeks maintenance cut and edging @$35.00/visit. This is slightly more than another company charges for similar services at a relative's home in east Austin, but I figured in N. Austin, everything costs a little more!

Two guys cleared out the patio, removed the debris and laid the river rock in 1 1/2 hours. Excellent!

I called Dan a month ago and requested that give me a quote to top treat and aerate my lawn. He said he would be by in a few days to see my lawn. A week went by and I had no contact, so I called him again. He apologized for not dropping by - said he was busy and would be by in the next few days. I told him if he was too busy, that I could look for someone else. He assured me even though he was busy that he would be able to do it. I've not heard anything from him since that conversation. I understand that if you are good at what you do, you get busy - but have the professionalism to do what you say.

We were having family come visit, and Dan responded speedily to my service request. They got the job done quickly, and the place looked great. We were very pleased. I called him a few months later to see if he could do some landscaping for us, but he was having some trouble getting enough labor so couldn't do it. We were sorry we couldn't work with him again, and would highly recommend him.

Dan knows his business. He is knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping, and willing to take the time to understand the customer's needs and discuss options. I am especially impressed by Dan's knowledge of plants and his ability to recommend the right plant for a given location. Dan's crew go about their work efficiently; there's no standing around at the customer's expense. Needless to say, I am very pleased to have discovered Dan Drake, and will be calling on him often in the future.

The overall experience was a good one. Half the backyard was overgrown after a couple of years of neglect. There were numerous hackberry trees, unwanted English ivy, and other plants. They cleared it all out, raked the soil smooth, and hauled away the debris. My first telephone call was not returned, but subsequent uses of the paging service resulted in very quick call backs. We agreed on a time, and they were prompt. I appreciated that Mr. Drake reviewed the work to be done, and he offered to pull out the stumps in the side yard for an additional charge. The work took several hours, and I was pleased that they raked the area smooth when they were finished. The final bill was higher than the original estimate due to the additional agreed-to stump removal plus a fuel surcharge. I would use them again.

Top notch responsiveness to a recent irrigation leak - Dan called an irrigation guy, and that person, also very professional, wove our problem into his next day's schedule to come out of his way to help out. Couldn't be happier with this level of customer service.

They are very professional, they do a great job. They will do extra work, if we ask they will find time to help. I would recommend and use them again.

Overall everything is good. They do a great job with the mowing and are good about cleaning up after themselves.

I joined Angie's List solely for this job and have managed to use your referral system on two other jobs. Once I joined Angie's, this was my first stop to find a landscape company that would actually follow through. I decided on Drakes since they were within 5 miles of my home and the responses from recent jobs were very positive. Drakes Landscape blew me away with returning my calls, keeping me informed of the price and the choices on plants, although I had no idea what 1/2 of it was. I trusted his decision since we spent a lot of time talking about the look I wanted for my backyard. His crew was professional and the work that was done was phenomenal. My backyard is truly beautiful with banana trees, palms, a crepe myrtle and much much more so when I learned that he also trims trees was just icing on the cake.

I'm using this company on a regular basis and will continue to do so in the future.
