The communication took place via email and text. There was confusion as I wanted metal posts but when the work started there were cedar posts there. I had asked for pricing based on metal posts which was emailed to me in the proposal, however, though I repeatedly asked for pricing including the metal posts, the vendor for some reason indicated that he did not know that was what I wanted. The pricing proposals contained both the prices for cedar posts and the increase for metal posts. Since I had indicated that I wanted metal posts, when I saw the cedar posts, I did contact the vendor. He then explained his assumptions and offered to remove the posts, although that would cause a delay in the job completion. I had pets so I could not afford the delay, instead, I did accept a discounted price with the cedar posts. Then on 4/15/2016 when I was having my irrigation system checked for use this summer, I discovered that they had chopped through an irrigation system line and broken it which I would have to have repaired. I contacted the seller and notified them but they refused to assist with the payment of the repair of my sprinkler system line that they had broken. This was two weeks after they did my fence on 3/29/2016 when the break was discovered as I had not cut the system on for this season until that date when they did the service check. Anyway, they cited some policy that they said they have about irrigation systems, however, neglecting the fact that since everything was done via email or text, I had no signed written contract or proposal that was agreed upon with them (as if I did the first error with the posts would not have occurred). That was a mistake as well as far as not having everything in writing and documented as to my expectations and their obligations. In summary, the fence appears to be stable right now, however, the fact that they refused to pay or assist in any way for the break in the sprinkler system that they caused (as it was right under the post) was not acceptable to me as a customer. I even provided the name of the service company for the irrigation system so that they could verify the location of the break being right in the same cite as the post for the fence that they replaced. Their refusal was not acceptable to me. I'm hoping that the fence holds up for many years as we discussed, and it appears to be fine right now and it looks fine. However, the irrigation system problem and the way it was handled was not satisfactory in my opinion.;

Discount Fence removed and replaced 27' of black vinyl coated fence and replaced 2 posts.  They also replaced the gate. They spray painted a couple of spots where the posts were nicked during gate installation.  I am very picky and they worked diligently to get everything just the way I wanted.

DJ came by within 24 hours, got an estimate to me the next day and they fixed a few days later. Great job, reasonable price, and prompt service.

Jamie Courville and his team of 5 guys were excellent.  2 of the 9 posts were the 2 posts on each side of a gate, and his team took the time to ensure the gate was level with the new posts. 
They arrived to the job-site early and with a great attitude.  They got the work done in ~3 hours. 
I would definitely use Discount Fence again for my fence repair needs.  A+++

The owner was very punctual and provided good customer service.
The iron fence fixing was very well done. They reused existing railing as requested.
The railing was installed professionally, one of the crews installing the railing stained stone by the back porche. Not a significant problem, but would have appreciated them protecting the stone to prevent staining. Overall very satisfied with the job.
The owner made sure the work was finished professionally.

The fence is very nice. The hardware on the back gate is on the wrong side of the gate. I have called Dan several times. He is not returning my calls. I put a fence and a gate in to keep people out, not to invite them in. Dan needs to take the hardware off and put it on the correct side of the gate. We have now come to an agreement and we are both satisfied with the agreement.

.Several contractors seemed very busy and couldn't reply immediately.  But Discount Fence called right away.  Daniel came over in a few hours and  took measurements.  I got a written quote in 3 days for the replacement fence including two custom design modifications that were important to me.  
The work was initially scheduled to be done in two weeks, but they moved the job up a few days to accommodate my work schedule so I could be there. 
All work was done in less than two days: fast, professionally and to my satisfaction.  I definitely recommend Discount Fence.

during the storms earlier this year, an entire length of my fence fell over.  it was about 16 years old and i thought it was a lost cause.
discount fence quickly gave an estimate to replace the broken posts, put the fence back up using the existing wood (the neighbor insisted on using the old wood again), replace any pickets which were missing or broken, and to spray a protective sealant to prevent further deterioration.  he hauled the broken bits away for me too.
i was so pleased that i hired discount fence to do preventive maintenance on the rest of my fence.
if ever i have another fence need, and i'm certain i will, THIS is the company i will call.  they are prompt, honest, professional, and trustworthy.  who could ask for anything more?

The price was in the ballpark of everyone I talked to. They were able to come out within a week, which was quicker than most others. They completed the project in about half a day, which was good, because I have dogs. I found Dan to be responsive and professional. I contacted him once after the job was finished and he'd been paid, and had no problem getting hold of him, which isn't always the case.

I'm very satisfied with the end result; it's a beautiful fence and looks very sturdy.  There was a slight communication problem early on when the work crew didn't install the initial section of fence as specified in the contract, but that was quickly fixed to my satisfaction.  I was worried about the heavy rains we experienced during construction, but the crew was careful not to track mud onto concrete areas.

Dan Honing was very prompt in responding to my call. He came out to see the gate and offer better solution for the repair. He provided quotation promptly on the same day. He kept his promises to get it fixed in a week. He is diligent and pleasant to deal with. I am very please with his work.

Job was well done, I asked the installers to lower the chainlink as we have a dog that will burrow under anything, and they came back and dropped it. Also ran the chainlink through a large cedar tree by cutting it at the bottom. They were very careful digging post holes as we had a septic field that they were installing around. The fancier gates really dress up the fence.
