BUYER BEWARE!!! Some of the tile we ordered at the store was not the same tile that arrived at our house. The pencil liner that was to cap off the bathroom vanity area was twice the size of what we ordered. And when they ran out of 3"x8" tiles for the pony wall, they simply cut the floor tiles to fit. Which might have been ok, but there were definite scalloped edges on the correct tile and none on the cut tile. The "team" of "professional" installers that was sent to our house was 1 installer and his 3 friends, one of which was his brother. When I got to the house on the second day of tile installation, Friday, the main installer, Eleazor Villarreal, had come and gone and left his little brother in charge. Eleazor did put up the initial bit of glass mosaic in the bathroom to show his brother how it was done and left. They used the same big saw they used to cut the big ceramic tile to cut the small 1" glass tile to fit corners, etc, and had chipped the white backing off of most what they cut. They installed them anyway, resulting in a very sloppy job, as you can see directly through the glass tiles to their big mess ups. Then came the grout. The woman in charge of ordering our stuff at the store, Debra, only ordered one box of grout for kitchen and one box for the bathroom and as it turns out, we needed two for each. They did initial grout on Friday, came back on Tuesday and realized they did not have enough grout for either rooms. So they simply made it thinner to go further, resulting in two different grout colors. After we got the Operations Manager, Ron, and our sales woman, Debra, out to look at the work A MONTH after the first job was completed, we agreed to let them "fix" the grout, not knowing what we were in for. After two weeks had passed, I called our contractor to see when the supplies were to arrive and when the work was to be done, this was on a Friday. We got a call on Monday from Designer Floors, saying they could schedule us in for the following Monday. This was going to be very inconvenient for myself and my husband to do, but Designer Floors said they were all scheduled up and it was our only time. When Monday morning came and went with no word from Designer Floors, I phoned to see what time they'd be showing up. "Oh, somebody dropped the ball and forgot to order your tile and grout, can we come out on Thursday?" I thought there were all scheduled up....but yes, wanting to get it done we agreed. Thursday came and went and it wasn't until the following week that Eleazor and his guys showed up, with one box of grout for the kitchen and one box of grout for the bathroom, again. To sum up, we have lived in our house for 10 weeks and the correction work is still going on. Our bathtub is getting chipped up from these guys and the work looks like it could be 10 years old. Don't be fooled by their excellent showing at Austin's Parade of Homes. And steer clear of Debra & Eleazor.
