We are considering selling our home and moving into a bit smaller place in the future. We are trying to decide whether to update and replace items, such as carpet, but yet we have seen so many sellers do that and then the buyers change everything to their own taste.  The discussions with Crystal were in regard to update or sell as is at a lower price.
